Did I seriously just missed a math and probability discussion while playing ibb and obb with my wife, I guess I am too late to the party...

I just beat the game, it was truly an amazing game, I had to look at a walkthrough for one part where we got stuck though.

plus they have sleepovers with all their friends, so im just waiting til they turn 16-18 and I can be the creepy
I so thought that was going a different direction. Maybe guilty conscience. As someone who had a teenage cheerleader in the house (she is now 21 and out of the house), I can admit to feeling a little creepy when her friends stayed over and ran around in their underwear. The pinnacle when one ran into my game room with no pants on and hopped on my lap on her 18th birthday and asked if I wanted to spank her. Scruples were tested...

So, about Tearaway... I liked Little Big Planet, and Touch My Katamari, but I'm not sure I want another game of that sort. There is a limit to how much cutesy-artsy I can stand. I'll probably wait for $10.

What's the likelihood of Bioshock Infinite getting a GOTY edition and the base price dropping on the normal version? $14 seems awesome, but for a variety of reasons I'm not sure I want it now. Only $50 in my wallet and there are definitely some games that are a much higher priority, but those games aren't on sale atm and might not be on sale any time soon anyway.

I really loved math in college. I was and always will be a math dork. I would walk in late for advanced calc exams and get done 1st and walk out like a boss and 100%+ that shia. I miss taking exams cuz it made me feel boss, it's just like a foreign crazy language, like a puzzle game you have to work out. I was just joking with that 50/50.

n yeah i got lots of kids, but im really not that old, just started too young, lol. I just turned 30 this year. Kids are a great excuse to still be playing vid games at my age, etc. I would feel a lil odd if I was out spending $100 on skylanders if I couldnt blame it on my kids. and like other cags have said, it sucks when my lil one breaks the portal of power, or a ds3 controller, or whatever, but then that's an easy excuse to have to buy more crap. Also I can always blame games like Hannah Montana, Afrika, Sims3, even Beyond by saying my kids were playing it, lol. Also Im at the point where my kids are babysitting my other kids. Iv got a 14y/o and she babysits my 1y/o and 3y/o, so its all cool. plus they have sleepovers with all their friends, so im just waiting til they turn 16-18 and I can be the creepy mean dad that yells at them for running around the house in their underwear while im trying to drink my beer and watch the game. idk zone.

n tyler, more dependents is good when april 1st comes around. i got a cool 8k this year. i know i need to just redo my tax exemption and pay stub taxes etc, but still it feels like free money so i dont complain.

so if we redeem the year of ps+ when they have the +3 month promo, we get the 3 months also. i guess ill hold my ps+ cards i got on bf til they burn a hole in my pocket or they have a good promo deal like +3 months. Thanks all
All I take from this post is that if I ever get to the point in my marriage where I need an excuse to justify buying something, then it's a sad day. I would never make a major purchase without consulting my wife, but I also would never need to lie about my intentions behind the purchase.

And I know what a lot of you are thinking..."Talk to your wife about purchases?! But you're a man!" And while that may be true, recent studies have shown that women should be consulted in the financial decision making processes. Some people even think they should be allowed to have their own jobs, but that's a whole separate discussion.

As long as they don't start asking to vote, we're still safe.

Is it that good? My copy was delivered the other day but I'm yet to play it.
Yes, and stop changing your avatar. It's hard to describe exactly what makes it so special but it definitely has it. Complete opposite end of the spectrum as something like TLoU but makes you go "wow" every bit as much.

It's all yours man. A lot of my friends have young kids and it seems pretty awful. I would need a lot more than $8000 a year to be convinced to raise a 2 year old.

I honestly can't imagine anyone was serious in that debate. I think Frisky resurrected a joke from about a week ago and a few people didn't recognize it as a joke.

Then again, I guess it was 50/50 whether people were serious or not.

I remember not being overly impressed by what they got. Usually a $60 dollar (or whatever wacky currencies they use over there) 40%-70% off, still not discounted enough to go digital over retail.

You're married? I figured you were like 15.

This thread is verging on a whole new level of creepy.

Opinions on the Ys series? I'm interested in Memories of Celcetta after seeing some gameplay from Seven and noticing that they appear to be similar. I know the originals are different and have a unique battle system. Is this unique battle system good? And, if I were to start the series, what games should I pick up on sale?
Love the series, played all the ones that made it to the states and liked all of them minus 1/2.

Memories of Celcetta is very similiar to Ys Seven as you control three characters with different skills/strengths but it also adds new mechanics like a flash guard and dodge that allows for special effects if you block or dodge an attack just at the right moment to get a big boost in your attacks.

You also level up skills as you use them and upgrade equipment to add properties to them. It's a bit light on the puzzle side but the action is quick and satisfying.

The story is standard Ys fare but it keeps the plot moving at a brisk pace with a new emphasis on exploration along with combat so there's some fresh new ideas thrown into the mix on top of the tried and true formula.

I recommend it.

I took advanced stat n probability in college. Frisky is right, 50/50.
also I am older and have more kids then everyone in here. ;)
Uh... No... And holy crap at the guy "complaining" that his 2016 PS+ sub will take him to age 30. fuck. If I put in my code from GS and the one I am getting from Best Buy that will put me through to 2018 and guess what - I'll be 50 that year .

And Velo, you are 30 and have a 14 year-old daughter!? I had my oldest when I was 28, and I felt pretty damn young at the time. I'm a "young" parent to her (compared to peers) but a very old parent to my 3 and 6 year-olds (and while it isn't too obvious now, I will be feeling the pain with my youngest when I'm 60 the year she graduates high school).

I'm depressed now - off to play something...

You only see the shitty side from that vantage point. My life would be completely pointless without my sons.

..and reported. It is posts like this that help spread those insidious mindsets.

I'm a "young" parent to her (compared to peers) but a very old parent to my 3 and 6 year-olds (and while it isn't too obvious now, I will be feeling the pain with my youngest when I'm 60 the year she graduates high school).

I'm depressed now - off to play something...
A lot of people are waiting to have kids at this point. You expect to see people in their mid to late 20's with kids instead if you go to the park you see kids with parents that are 40 pretty routinely.

All I take from this post is that if I ever get to the point in my marriage where I need an excuse to justify buying something, then it's a sad day. I would never make a major purchase without consulting my wife, but I also would never need to lie about my intentions behind the purchase.
God forbid you consult the person you're going to spend the rest of your life with on things related to your financials. Unless you're broke, I don't think most people would consult their spouse to spend 10 or 20 bucks. If you're going to spend hundreds of dollars or a thousand + then it kind of nice to talk to your spouse about it but it's not like you are asking PERMISSION...

Don't mean to derail the runaway topic train but...

My kids have been pestering me to buy the creator DLC for Little Big Planet...have they ever gone on sale?  I'd hate to spend the $6 on each of them to find out they have gone on sale....

...or are they so old at this point that they wouldn't bother putting them on sale?

Can't you just get the GOTY edition?

I redeemed my PS+ code last night on Vita with no trouble. First try. Maybe I should have waited until February to see if bonus deal, but I figure next Black "Friday" there will be another similar deal, and every year, so I'd be buying 12 months from now anyway. The extra months don't add much in that light.

Lol at the runaway thread.

I love all my kids so much. I never wanted kids, but then you have them and they are your whole world. My 2y/o (almost 3) son Link is the coolest kid I know, and my new lil baby Lux is just perfect cuteness. I would give up all videogames, etc if I had to just to be with them. I come home every night after work and the first thing when i open the door is 'yay, dad's home' and he runs in and gives me a hug. and I get a hug everytime i go to work. That shit is priceless.

and yeah, being 30 and having a daughter in high school is pretty crazy. I cheated tho, my girl already had 3 lil kids when I met her and so I married her and adopted them all. I only have Link n Lux through blood, but they are all my kids n I love them all. Im the only dad they know and only real male influence in their lives. yeah, TMI. I make it seem like I had kids at 15 y/o or so, lol, but i was playing resident evil and final fantasy 7 and no way thinkin of babies. n the whole asking my wife or excuses of what to buy, i could buy whatever i want, 95% of my purchases are bestbuy/amazon/gamestop credit, but I like to think we are a team. I could buy ps4 now with cred but im gonna wait. i just bought her a camera on bf so its all give n take. peace all

n yeah, girl sleepovers im not even gonna say anything, but damn, that bgh. these 14 y/os are bustier than my wife. my girl and i were at a highschool football game that my daughter was playing in band for, and my girl was mesmerized by the cheerleaders the whole time. She was shocked how sexy they were and tight outfits/mini skirts. her eyes and words, not mine. lol

I must say this is my favorite thread on this site, we get deals once in a while, but then it goes to converting dollars to Amy's, statistics, and odds, then to borderline pedophilia. Bravo everyone.

In honor of what is now my GOTY (tied w/ Bioshock), I have momentarily retired le boobs. Way too many feels at the end. Haven't been this impressed in a very, very long time. The craftsmanship. The music. Even the story is..touching. It isn't without a few flaws, but what a joyful experience! And, yes, @tyler, it can be "artsy fartsy", but never pretentious. Anyway, sorry to be a broken record - I ordinarily share these musings with GAF, but I'm banned until the 10th, lol (console warring, polygon defensing, etc.). Get this game.

Also, a little new found respect to the trophy hunters. Tearaway obviously ranks lower on the scale of difficult platinums, yet it doesn't look like I'll have the patience.  Noob status 4life.   Don't know how ya'll do that shit.

This. Game is great. Waaaay better than Amy. I'm going to finish up the trophies just so I can hang out in that little papercraft world a bit longer.

So much praise for Tearaway. Makes me almost regret starting Ys first. But Ys has been a blast so far. I don't think I can... ahem... Tear(myself)away from the game.

Thought it was a great game but hated that it was called "BioShock" (should have been a new IP).
While I have not played it, I've asked my friend who played it a lot about it when I was thinking about getting it. It's definitely a Bioshock game. I basically decided to think of it as a reboot if I ever play it.

I went ahead and picked up Ascension at $20. I have the retail game sealed and I paid the same for it. So I'll just sell that off. Hopefully break even. I'm slowly inching towards an all digital life at this point.

Not super thrilled about the Plus December lineup but I have more than enough to play.

Grabbed 4 years of Plus total, 2 which I redeemed already and 2 which I'll get for Christmas. This will bring me to 2018. I figure it's ok because I'm aiming for a one console future with the PS4.

Wondering what the next sale will bring :) Backlog building should be a sport, we'd all be 1st string.

Getting Ys I&II and 7 (already have OiF.) Also grabbing P4A. Don't see any other decent deals to get me to $60, unfortunately. Wish TLoU had had a decent deal for this flash thing. :(
