Damn you, Sony. You screw around on a holiday weekend and I come home from work after an 11 hour shift with no breaks to FINALLY get my PSN cards to work and....Diablo isn't on sale anymore.

You know what? You can keep your copies of Game of Thrones and God Mode, too.
PSN redemption has worked since Saturday morning. But yeah it's their fault you waited until the last minute.

Latest from PS Blog is that they're "continually increasing the availability of voucher code redemption functionality." Read between the lines and it's clear that they're still not completely up and running. And that's been my experience. I couldn't redeem my PS+ code from Black Friday on my PS3 last night or today, but it finally worked on my Vita a couple hours ago.

I see some maybes on that sales list. Not as good as Xbox Live's Black Friday deals unfortunately but I'll be testing out several of them:

Puddle $4
Worms Revolution Extreme $7.5
Alien Breed (Vita and PS3) $5
Game of Thrones $5
God Mode $3
RIPD $3
Superfrog (crossbuy) $5
Just following up on myself. Like I mentioned earlier, only one of these games have a demo. It's also the most well reviewed one, Puddle. It's also the only one I purchased. Demo felt good enough and I think it controls better on Vita then it did by consoles. It's also made by a fairly small but decent looking developer, and it may sound stupid, but since I don't buy full priced PSN games I sometimes like to buy cheap games like this as a way of supporting them even if it isn't on the absolute top of my want list.

As for the rest of the games (except GoT), they're just not cheap enough considering how they reviewed. I will reconsider them at 75%-90% off if they ever get there. As for GoT, after watching the reviews there isn't a price low enough for me to consider it. The gameplay looks really bad and I have half a dozen games in my backlog that look like they do what GoT tries to do about 100x better. I've never seen the show so no appeal there for me either.

If I had seen that list earlier, I would have said skip all of them unless you have 0 games to play and your only other entertainment option is to read Crime and Punishment.

Yeah it wasn't a high quality list. I don't think I'll regret Puddle, and that Worms Vita game would be fun (I like Worms games) but already have a couple to still play through on my 360 so just couldn't justify it for $7.50.

Binary domain sucks. And what the fuck is live journal or xanga?
Yep, what little Binary Domain I played left a very bitter taste in my mouth (...she said). I want to like it since it's the only PS3 game from PS+ I've downloaded in weeks, but it feels like a poor man's Vanquish. I even put on the mic to get the full "experience". :whistle2:(

On the flip side, I'm surprised by how much I'm enjoying Soul Sacrifice. Thought the combat would prove too repetitive for my tastes, but in bite sized sessions it's been pretty fun. I think it's another example of the demo doing the overall game a disservice. Glad I gave it a chance.

I tried using my headset with Binary Domain from the start, and some of the words it had me say during the test were a little surprising. It also had a tendency to register me as saying profanity whenever I was just breathing normally; one of the characters happened to ask me something and it happened then and they got mad at me haha. I guess I am just a very pissed off breather

As for soul sacrifice I felt like the availability of more ranged offerings and offerings that don't disappear after a couple of uses made the game a lot more fun. The free dlc didn't hurt either

If it is even still up should I bite on getting Bioshock Inifinite for 13.99 digitally before I go to work? I am a big physical copy guy but this is almost too good to pass up. I just don't know if there will be a GOTY edition

Which Ys game? I've never played any of them, so I'd like to know the best one to get. Thx.
I bought all three and started playing Chronicles I. Combat is wonky... you just run into things to attack. The game is short and does not provide much direction as to what to do next. Though the soundtrack is pretty rockin, I think you can safely skip Chronicles I, II. I've heard good things about Seven and Oath. I'm forcing myself to play through these before I get Ys Memories of Celceta for Vita. Hope that helps.

Oath in Felghana is fantastic. Tons of fun, and I highly recommend it. I've not yet played 7 (I just bought it this morning) but Celceta is the exact same playstyle. If you're wanting to get a feel for whether Celceta would be worth it at the higher price, 7 is a good way to find out.

I'm just assuming there will be a GOTY version and am waiting. Even if not, I figure it'll go to $15, if not $10 or lower, before too long for the physical copy. It's already hit $20 numerous times from numerous places. If it were $5 for the digital copy, I might think differently though.

Yeah, apparently still sketchy in EU too. I've got a voucher that that came with my Castlevania steelbook and I keep getting error codes every time try to redeem it.

Just redeemed my BF Plus code but I had to do it through account management. Just added some old games to the backlog, ah well.
Nevermind. I guess its just the store that's wonky; account management worked on my EU account.

Playstation Mobile store section is terrible. I had to browse a while to find the two free games. Also bought Super Crate Box, but haven't tried it yet. I hope it has all the content that was added over time to the iOS version. I am a bit worried it doesn't.

I caved and bought the PS3 digital code for Assassin's Creed IV for $30 from Amazon and then upgraded it on the PS store for $10. $40 isn't bad for a "new" game but thinking this will be my last splurge for the new console. $20 or less is usually my motto.

Too late anyway. Sale went away sometime yesterday afternoon.

Whoa, time to do returns on Ni No Kuni and FF14. Glad I didn't open them up. Those PS+ discounts are just unreal.

Just make sure you have the ability to free up 42 GBs of space first, as it takes double the download amount of 21 GBs to install NNKuni

Yeah, I have a 160gb HDD, so it'll be marginal. Might blow away some old installs or something. Now that I have a PS4, I can get rid of DCUO, too.

Unrelated to anything, but I recently upgraded my HDD to 500GB and found that my Walking Dead saves don't transfer. Is there any way to move them over so I don't lose my progress?

Do you have PS Plus? Upload them to online storage? Or maybe do a complete drive copy. You would need another external drive for that though.

Why didn't you guys like Binary Domain? It's not the most amazing game but it's a solid game and does a few things other shooters don't. Obviously the mic thing is a gimmick. The way it tells its story is exactly like the Yakuza series - as it should since it's made by them. You guys are the reason we can't have more Yakuza games or Shenmue 3!

How is ACIV on the PS3? I have no PS4. Any performance issues on the last gen?
It's similar to AC3. Frequent sub-30 fps. Lots of pop-in and stuff.

This is most apparent when frantically dashing through more populated areas of the game, such as the central areas of Havana and Nassau, which feature some densely packed environments that put a visible strain in the engine. Here, the increased level of detail and NPCs cause a noticeable hit to the frame-rate, manifesting as a jerky on-screen update along with a drop in the responsiveness of the controls. As we've seen in past games this is something that occurs more frequently on the PS3 in Assassin's Creed 4. Frame-rates often drop down to the mid-twenties in both formats, but we see the PS3 fall between 2-4 frames behind in similar conditions.

I'm probably far from the reason we can't have more Yakuza games as I supported them with day 1 purchases and played them enough to platinum all of them aside from Dead Souls which I didn't day 1 purchase due to not caring for the gameplay and not wanting to support the weird exclusive dlc situation they had for that game on gamestop.

Also got Binary Domain around release as I like and want to support the Yakuza team, I was just commenting on the whole gimmicky mic situation. I ran through it once but it wasn't really my thing, I don't remember why exactly as it has been a while but I didn't care for the story and felt like the enemies were kind of bullet spongey. I mean I remember a couple of sections where there were even ammo vending machines during bossfights. I was thinking about giving it another shot since it being on PS+ kind of jogged my memory of its existence to see if I was too hard on it.

The trick with Binary Domain is to not expect it to be a high quality game - it's totally fun, quirky, has silly characters and blow-em-up robots with some entertaining gameplay and doofily enjoyable plot moments but it's not Shakespeare.

And just forget the mic stuff, it's stupid. I appreciate that they were trying to do something I guess, but I'd rather they would've added a gum chewing idle animation to the main character or something than spend resources on voice input.

They don't move to cloud since they're protected saves, so that's out. I could do the full migration, but I already started using the new drive and don't want to have to reformat.

Kind of stinks; I've finished four of the five episodes and would hate to have to start over.

WHAT THE SHIT?! I just grabbed GRID 2 and I got charged $59.99 ?! It shows up as free on the page, but when I went to check out, I only noticed that there was a price after I confirmed purchase...

Has this happened to anyone else? I better be able to get a refund, what the hell bro!!??!?!

There's actually saves that can't be uploaded to cloud storage? Is this 2005?

The same thing happened to me when I downloaded Borderlands 2. I thought it was one of the free games for December!

I was able to upload my Walking Dead saves to the cloud from the Vita with no issue. Its odd that the Vita can upload but the PS3 cant.

Is ICO supposed to be free for PS+?

keep getting an error when trying to add it
Should be, they are updating the store right now so things can be a little wonky during the time. You might check to make sure you haven't already checked it out as sometimes it shows you as not owning it when you actually already do own it.

Has happened to at least one person every week for a month plus now. Don't be that person of shame.

Does FINAL FANTASY® XIV: A Realm Reborn require a monthly fee, I couldn't find anything either on Sony's page or Amazon that indicated as such ?
