Man, I am loving Hotline Miami. I only have two more chapters left in the main story and I even got an A+ on a chapter. I'm definitely gonna get this platinum.

Of all the notable games I've played so far this year I think I enjoyed my time with HM the most. Those other games include Bioshock Infinite, GTAV, Deus Ex: HR, Batman: Arkham Asylum... and Tomb Raider (currently playing). I know, I still need to play TLOU but I'm waiting for the goty edition.

That's why PS+ is brilliant. I might never have played Hotline Miami otherwise. And I will certainly be purchasing HM2 at full price when it drops.

Honorable Mention: Breakquest Extra Evolution.

How are you planning on getting a Japanese Demon's Souls? I looked on EBay and prices were sky high. Let me know if you have another method.
 
I looked into it... Defiance appears to be a consistently rated 5/10 console MMO. Which means its not worth $2.50 to me, but I'm sure there's someone who would dig it.

was one of the few games that killed my eyes with the flashing lights. was a fun game until i could not take it anymore

Need one of those 64 vita cards but have learned from buying a 32 . Will wait till next thanksgiving and see if they fall to 30 to 40 :)

Yeah, just passing it on. I'm not buying one myself. I don't see the point in having that many games on the card at once. I'll switch to it if they ever fix the one account per card limitation, but until then it's not that big a convenience since I have to switch cards for games anyway. ;(

Since you already bought it, why don't you just play it and find out for yourself? I am tempted to get it since I do hear good things about it. How wrong can you go for $2.50? But then I remind myself that I have a huge backlog and haven't even turned on my Xbox One since launch day.

 
Wow, I HATE how long it takes the PS3 to download and install things. I'm snowed in for the weekend so I decided to finally get Ni No Kuni since it's so cheap and it's telling me its going to take 11 HOURS to download it and, knowing the PS3, probably another 2 to install it!! I downloaded a file of similar size on the Wii U on the same connection and it took probably a quarter of the time! I hope they fixed that with the ps4.

Install/download speed are noticeably better on the PS4.

What kind of internet speed do you have? Also are you wired or wireless on the PS3? I was getting horrendous download speeds and moved my PS3 closer to the WAP and it works great now (maxes out my 1.5MB/s connection, anyway.)

 
I actually get good download speeds on our PS3, but it is fairly close to the wifi access point. Maybe the problem is that it is a shitty WiFi device - poor range? Not sure. Oh, and it's a super slim. Maybe they improved the wifi on it?

I always find it strange when people complain about downloads on the PS3, mine have always been speedy. I have a Slim. As for the 64GB card I'm in no rush to get one, because I'm at 32 and could probably fill the 64 if I wanted to. I've come to the realization I don't need everything with me at once. I can only play 1 game at a time anyway. $95 seems like a fair price though comparatively to buying a 32GB at launch. If the 64 goes cheap at some point then maybe I'll re-consider.

Disconnect the internet while you are downloading on the PS4 and wait a few moments until an error message pops up along the lines of "Download failed" then reconnect to the internet. The download will be "paused" and you can choose to restart it at your leisure. Not an elegant solution but it works.

 
That moment when you start downloading digital games to your PS4...and it goes super slow trying to do them all at the same time. Core features Sony, core features.

 
22GB in 11 hours would actually come out to about 4.5mbps which isn't that bad. Unless my math is way janky which is always possible. Interestingly, 4.5mbps is approximately 1.5amys which is slightly above the national average for shitty internet speed.

Not the guy you were asking, but i have a 30mbps wired connection and I can confirm PSN is having....difficulty with their downloading service. I downloaded the single-player Uncharted 3 bits over Thanksgiving weekend (minus the 3D movies + language packs), and it took the better part of 8+ hours to finish. That was for two 10gb+ files.

My thoughts are that the network itself is just getting worked pretty hard at the moment, but it's still disappointing, especially in the case of being snowed in.

BTW: Everyone should play Binary Domain. It is fan-fucking-tastic, so happy it was one of the free PS+ titles as I had been wanting to get it ever since the demo came out.

Mostly considering the metacritic rating right now for it isn't all that impressive. Polygon trying to draw clicks and posters enciting fanboy riots, maybe?

 
Why in the world is GT6 only on PS3 and not PS4 as well? Or even just PS4? The mind boggles, but it's OK for me. No PS4. Going to see if I can get a copy from Redbox because i have a free 1 day game rental coupon….

I started the Demon Souls finally last night. Didn't get very far; basically the tutorial and died in the first level a handful of times. It's very intriguing and seems complicated with all the stats and things going on, but I want to keep playing. We'll see how I feel when I play more than an hour and I'm not terribly sleepy while playing.

Most of the rumors indicated the game was significantly delayed. I'm guessing Sony wanted to release it sometime last year. Also, Drive Club was supposed to be the PS4 racing title to get excited about, which would have made sense if GT6 was already old news by now (and Drive Club wasn't delayed). It seems like Sony has, once again, shot themselves in the foot with both games. I would imagine a significant number of people won't mess with GT6 because it's last gen and a significant number of people won't mess with Drive Club since it won't be a launch title and people will be more selective on games they purchase (new console fever will be worn off).

To clarify, i'm sure GT6 will sell well, it will likely just have a shorter tail than past games.

As one of the handful of console MMOs without monthly fees, it's very much worth $2.50. Just don't pay more than that because you can go to defiance.com and enter Arkfall codes there to get a bunch of free stuff. Just Google for the list of codes.

Is this a joke since he mistakenly called Zen Pinball Pinball FX? Or do we know that The Pinball Arcade will be released before the 16th? With all of the Zen Pinball tables being free because of crossbuy I am starting to seriously doubt that I will fork any money over to get The Pinball Arcade tables on PS4.

Unrelated: If I try to purchase something and don't have enough PSN credit, will it auto-deduct the remaining credit before using my card (I have like .68c leftover)? Or do purchases require the entire cost to be covered by one source of funds?

So I'd like to play Tokyo Jungle on my Vita with remote play. Is there an easier way of doing this than having to turn on the ps3 and enter a code each time? Is using wi-fi the best connection? 

Last time I tried I somehow ended up pushing the "PS" button on the vita which brought me back to the :ps3: home screen and then I couldn't get out.

(I've unlocked the cat, chick, other deer, pig, and a couple other animals. Why is this weird little game so addicting?)

There definitely has to be something wrong since so many people have similar experiences. Even when my PS3 is plugged into the router, it's slow as hell. Oddly enough, the vita blows it away when downloading the same files (I tested this). Plus, like you, my install speeds have become so much slower. I just gave up and try to have PS+ do everything while I'm asleep or away.

:roll: These people cannot win with you guys. I'm guessing you believe the GT6 score is only meant to persuade us of their neutrality. Sneaky bastards. Meanwhile, I'm still wondering if Sony purposely holds reviews back for games they predict will have a bad or lukewarm reception.
