If people want true respect as a trophy hunter, obtain the platinum for Dyad. Because I don't think I'll even get one.

It's not just you. I'd say S1 episodes lasted about 2.5 to 3 hours on average. All That Remains (S2E1) barely pushed 1.5.

I think 38 platinums qualifies you as a "hardcore trophy nut". Just sayin' ;)

I'm pretty high up considering I spend a lot of time playing long games that get me very few trophies. For example I'm 60+ hours into Tales of Graces f and have less than 50% on that. Same with Disgaea D2.

Speaking of the TT.com leaderboard I'm liking it. I agree that is sucks we don't know who are above us or below because of name changes. The people above me are HandsomePete, Simmias and under are PancakesareLove and Frisky.  I like how they are regulars on CAG and frequent the site daily. Damn I remember when I was in the top 20 and now I'm #46.

I keep wondering why my PS3 is 720p on my new 1080p set and just realized reading this that I set it to 720p some time ago for some reason.

There needs to be a way to combine Gamerscore and Trophies into one score. I've been playing pretty much nothing but PS3 and Vita for the last few months, and still have over 1000 more achievements than I do trophies.  So much wasted time on Xbox...

To be fair only like the top 10 are trophy hunters it seems. Everyone else just has the casual amount acquired throughout all of last gen playing frequently but not solely focusing on trophies. Every game gives you like ten trophies just for beating the game on easy practically.

A lot of people on TA wanted a combined score when TT became a reality, but the whiny bitch TA regulars were against it and didn't want anything to do with Sony. The compromise was to have your TA/TT profiles both available on your home page.

I hate that my best completions are on the 360, but oh well.

Really? That sucks. I was hoping when they launched TT that there would be a way to do it, so I was kinda of pissed that there wasn't one.

Yeah they said the holiday sales go through Dec 31, so probably one more week that goes Dec 24 - 31. Ducktales seems possible. Seems like there's been at least one good 2D platformer-style game for 75% off the last 3 weeks (Terraria, Spelunky, Guacamelee, Limbo) so Ducktales seems like it would fit that model perfectly. Could be just a coincidence though. I'd personally prefer Castle of Illusion or Mirror of Fate HD since I already have Ducktales.

I have the Dyad platinum and it was a lot of fun to get. I really like how they did the trophies for that game, in that they're separate from the main levels, So everytime you complete a level, you can go on or challenge yourself with a harder version of it.

I too am waiting for a Duck Tales sale. It would make sense since 3-4 months after release is usually when games start to go on sale.

 
I've wanted the same thing as I have 45,000 (modest) GS but have pretty much exclusively been on PS3, PS4, and Vita for the past 6 months. I still enjoy Xbox and especially the controller/interface, but Plus and PS4 and Vita just take me away from it too much.

Even better would be a cross-save system between Xbox and PS. Obviously that's never going to happen but I get frustrated when Plus gives me something like NFS Most Wanted or Amalur and I have a big save file on Xbox for them. No way do I have the patience to start over again. That alone has almost made me start games only on Sony consoles now - so I will have a save when I get it free from Plus down the road.

I know, it sucks. I haven't achievement hunted in a good...2-3 years. I used to play a lot of Halo back in the day too, so I really don't know how I ever got that high. I have a terrible completion rate on 360 though. Since there's no platinums, there are a lot of games I'd just finish once, get the easy achievements and move on. Trophy huntin' is so much harder.

Developers could and should start looking at platform agnostic cloud saves so people can move between consoles and PC. I think a lot of people would even pay a little bit for that. A dollar to unlock cloud saving for a title would be enough to cover storage costs, easily.

Sign me up. The fact that it's never been tried before makes me wonder if the console makers have some rule against it? I don't know why they would, though. Seems like good business for everyone.

I don't see a whole lot of talk about the $50 PayPal thing for $10 back. I think it's a great deal. I don't have to buy $50 worth of games I might not want in some arbitrary time period. I never do those. This lets me have funds sit in my wallet that I will eventually use. Going to do it right now.

I figured people would be jonesed for the $50 + $10 thing because they can leave it sitting in their wallets until the next Spend $50, get $10 and effectively get 40% back.

If I could use a $50 card and get $10 I would be all over it, having to pay from non-Amy supporting PayPal kills it for me when all my PSN funds come from store credit.

Pretty tempted to do it, especially considering you can stack it later with a buy 50 get 10 promo.

 
Nothing gets by you guys. I didn't even think of the double stacking capabilities. Although, like I said, I'm usually hard up to find $50 worth of good deals in the promo periods.

Pixeljunk Shooters are great if you've never tried them. Kind of old-school r-type kind of space shooting but with some Metroidvania mixed in.
 
Does anyone know what DLC came with Borderlands 2 on ps+..i want to buy the season pass but i have the 2 additional character classes, Gaige the Mechromancer and Krieg the Psycho, for free. Were they just free?

Mechro was free with premire club, krieg was a paid pack. Each 9.99

Yeah, I usually don't spend 50 at once, but I've been holding off on buying BF4 premium until one of these promos starts. Hopefully it comes out before the 2nd map pack.

 
Signed up just for the leaderboard. #49, not bad considering I haven't regularly played PS3 in about 2 years now.
