I never said I don't play often. But more often than not there is a huge difference between finishing a game and platinum-ing it. I have 5 platinums, but only "pursued" 4 of them. Looking back, each one of them involved me doing something that was a waste of my time/pretty tedious. When I see people with a few hundred platinums I can't help but think how many hundreds of hours they must have spent scouring game environments for pointless collectibles or grinding for XP. If people actually enjoy doing that more power to 'em, but I definitely don't envy them.

Wow they're gonna give Xbox a shot? Best of luck to them. That ID@Xbox program, despite the stupid name, seems like it may actually reel in some good indie games. Before they announced that program, over the last year or so MS has been doing everything within their power to turn away indie developers and, if any were dumb enough to try and get a game on Xbox Live, they made sure to put up as many hurdles and hoops as possible. I'm still skeptical that the ID@Xbox program is going to fix much of that...but we'll see.

Also, says Drinkbox next game will be a mobile game. Lame. I can't even earn trophies on that!

Maybe for the next gen version of guacamelee they will hire some voice actors, lack of speech is pretty much the only thing about it that screams "lower budget title," everything else is pretty slick.

Sometimes games are better without speech. It can be charming to convey thoughts and ideas without staight voicework - even if there is a text box sometimes. Also, bad voicework can really damage an otherwise decent game.

I finally played through Chrono Trigger with the great DS version and the only issue I had is that it doesn't do a good job of leading you to where you're supposed to go, so I managed to get lost fairly early on as I went into the prehistoric time well before I was supposed to be there. The Giant Bomb Endurance Run for Chrono Trigger helped me get back into it after taking a break due to getting lost #2poch

The only Mana game I've played with Sword of Mana on the GBA and hated it so much that it turned me off the series as a whole.

It wasn't until this post that I even considered that there was a lack of voice acting. It was such a non-factor to the fun I had with that game.

It was apparently taken off of XBL too. I had my friend check earlier on his 360 while I looked on the website. He couldn't find it and neither could I.

And just to confirm, the GameStop code will let you get the game, though oddly for me it didn't show up in my web store download list until I went and started the download on my PS3, even though usually web store purchases do show up in my download list whether or not I have ever attempted to download it.

-Actually it's more story/graphics over gameplay.

-Adds replay value to some people and people just find them fun to get. I see no problem with that.

-What's your problem with Call of Duty? That the graphics haven't been updated? Hopefully not.

Yeah, it looks like the Skullgirls thing got all the attention and they snuck the other stuff under the radar. Then again the only reason we knew the Skullgirls thing was coming was that someone from Sony reached out to the developers to let them know that it was going to happen. Konami clearly had no intention of even telling the developers. When they asked Konami to push the date back so the could have more time to get a new build done and approved Konami said it was out of their hands and blamed Sony. Then Sony goes back and makes the same request on their behalf to Konami and they just stonewall both. Just further proof of what a terrible company Konami has become and that they only exist still because of their legacy catalog and Metal Gear.

 
I remember playing video games that I bought/rented just to play and not care about trophies. Just to enjoy the game good or bad and to finish it before the rental due date/before the weekend is over.

Ever since Microsoft introduced Achievements and Sony introduced Trophies, we have been spoiled and picky and talking about one each other epeen.

So based on your comment its clear you dont post on CAG enough. I recognize almost half of the top 25. And keep in mind its thr second largest leaderboard on that site. Im sure high scoring trophy guys are adding themselves anyway just so they can be near the top of the leaderboard
