What's up with the 10K+ label next to this thread's title on the deals page? Obviously it means it's over 10,000 posts now, but I wonder why it would be necessary to label that.

PS: $15 season pass for Walking Dead? Might make me not wait for the inevitable sales.

The Walking Dead: Season Two - PS3 North America Season Pass

Good news for those who've been waiting for The Walking Dead: Season Two Season Pass to appear on the PlayStation Network in North America! Though later than anticipated due to complications with the Season Pass being a separate submission to the standalone episode, we're pleased to confirm that the Season Pass will be available from Tuesday, December 24th.

As a special thank you to those who purchased Episode 1 early AND those who've been waiting for the Season Pass before playing the premiere, the Season Pass (which includes Episodes 1-5) will have a special introductory price of just $14.99 USD or equivalent until January 7th.http://www.telltalegames.com/support/discussion/54759/the-walking-dead-season-two-ps3-north-america-season-pass
And bought. Got a couple psn cards for christmas. Was thinking about Tearaway and Batman Blackgate but I just thought the Tearaway demo was ok and know I probably wouldn't end up playing it. Better to wait for PS Plus and if never no big loss for me. Blackgate I do want to play but from what i'm hearing I would also be better off waiting for PS plus or a cheap $10 sale.

Will pickup Walking Dead Season 2 for $15 instead and hope and pray for holiday sale on Ducktales or Ys.

I watched the newest Star Trek movie last night. You guys were right, it is the best entry in the series. Knocks TNG and DS9 out of contention for best ever by a mile.
Good movie, but a shame they're following the original stories so closely after making a point in the last movie to say that anything can happen now that this is an alternate timeline.

Tearaway is really tempting at $18 but for an extra $2 (plus tax) I'll just buy a physical copy from Amazon. It's out of stock, but I just went ahead and locked it in at that price. I don't mind waiting until it's in stock.

I picked up a $50 PSN card at Target tonight since they had the 10% coupon and I had a $5 off $50 or more purchase.  Hoping for some good holiday deals now.

Walking Dead season 2 is tempting but I have the first season on 360 so may just get it there.

GameStop has it for $19.99 also, but I think the minimum cost with the cheapest shipping is ~$23

That's only if you get it online, FYI.

I have pretty much not read anything about Guacamelee because it didn't sound like my cup of tea at any point, so I'm sure that you guys have said just about everything about the game that I could possibly want to know, BUT I'm going to ask anyway: is there any replay value to the game if you're not playing through repeatedly for trophies? Like, are there unlockables that change the gameplay dramatically or anything? Or if you beat it once is it pretty much beat?

Oddly enough, even though I don't use the stickers for anything, I will collect every damn collectable in LBP games, even though I won't trophy hunt, because they are TOTALLY different, so I'm asking for in-game stuff vs trophy stuff in regards to Guacamelee replay value.

U can order the physical copy still from amazon and they will ship when they get more in. Also I price matched gamestops's website at best buy earlier today in store for the physical copy and used my bestbuy points to pay for it. Then I cashed in my sony rewards points so I could get a $20 PSN card for $7 :) now I'm thinking about getting Batman also. Should I? I'm having trouble pulling the trigger for some reason...

Depends on how much you like the game, really. There's a fair bit of fun to be had re-running it with the new DLC costumes. But if you go through once and don't enjoy the core gameplay you're not going to relish the prospect of going back through with a tweaked character.

FWIW, I highly recommend the game. It's a nice blend of beat-em-up, platformer, and metroidvania. If you enjoy ANY of those genres you'll get $3.75 worth of fun out of Guacamelee!

So the official PlayStation Twitter account just tweeted out a screenshot of a stream of the Bang Bros Xmas party being broadcast on a PS4. The tweet disappeared as I was typing this.

The future everyone!

I liked Season 1 enough that I'd bite (no pun intended) at $15, but only on Vita. I don't want to replay Season 1 and I don't want my previous choices replaced with random choices. If only they'd ship a little/optional prologue that let you re-pick the major stuff so you could play "your" game on a new platform . . . *sigh*

Honestly that's probably fairly tame in comparison to the horse head porn shows with guns that I was putting out.

I didn't see the games on howlongtobeat.com, so if someone answers me I promise I'll stop asking newb questions about R&C for the night. What're the non-trophy hunting lengths of R&C: Into the Nexus and Quest for Booty?

Into the Nexus is about five to six hours and Quest for Booty is probably about three hours or so.

Those seem like incredibly short games. Though it has taken me about 6 months to get halfway through God of War 2, so I suppose that it really depends.
Into the Nexus is about half as long as a normal Ratchet & Clank game for half the price. Quest for Booty was their first attempt at the bite-sized game, but missed the mark due to having no replayability while Into the Nexus does that much better with the challenge mode upon beating the game.

Ah. Okay, thanks for explaining. :)

This is why I don't trophy hunt.  I'm 3 confetti and 1 scrap away from 100% in Tearaway and played the two levels a dozen times each and can't find what I'm missing.

Beyond: Two Souls is one of the most awesome games I've played in a long time.  I think I'm about 2/3 of the way through and hopefully it can keep up the momentum for the final third!

What level is it? They can be hidden in places you would never think to look. Like behind the waterfall.

Good to know. Will be playing it soon. Probably after I beat Ascension when I get back to it.

It is amazing. I have no idea why it only has 71 metacritc. Also just want to throw out there that Knack having a 55 on metacritic is a crime. It is crazy underrated. I do think it is possibly too hard to be a kids game though.

HAHA I found the scrap.  That was actually so clever that I'm not mad at all about it.

Decided to suction the outhouse on the off chance and sure enough.

David Cage is a fucking idiot, and that game is an embarrassment.

I really respected Heavy Rain for what it tried to do, and thought that if he (Cage) had a bigger budget to do what he wanted he'd make something great. Man, was I wrong. The plot is pathetic, and the experience is devoid of any substance or emotion despite it trying to force it down your throat every half hour.

David Cage is a fucking idiot, and that game is an embarrassment.

lol

Thanks, reading it now and seeing I'm not the only person missing one on this level and having the rest.
You're never the only person having trouble with the game or trophy no matter what you are playing. If you ever need help just check that site, more than likely someone has already made a thread and gotten help about something you may need. Hopefully it helps.

It is amazing. I have no idea why it only has 71 metacritc. Also just want to throw out there that Knack having a 55 on metacritic is a crime. It is crazy underrated. I do think it is possibly too hard to be a kids game though.
Its pretty funny that the most hours I spent playing a ps4 game was Knack :D

The reason Beyond: Two Souls was critically panned is because the writing is mediocre. When there's that little conventional gameplay, what's left to scrutinize? The plot meanders and ultimately lands nowhere (IMO, of course). Needlessly places the vignettes out of order. I thought it was a pretentious mess. Shame, too, because the concept was very, very interesting. A lot of potential there. When Cage finally decides to hire some outside help for a decent script, it'll probably be one hell of a game.

To be fair, it does have a few incredible highs. I'll just say the "homeless" episode is one of my favorite gaming moments from this gen.

This is why I don't trophy hunt. I'm 3 confetti and 1 scrap away from 100% in Tearaway and played the two levels a dozen times each and can't find what I'm missing.
YEP. Goddamn caverns almost made me throw in the towel. I played that stage at least 10 times searching for ONE lousy piece of confetti.

Do you remember where you found it? Maybe it's the same one.
Well, before I got it down to one piece, I missed 2 or 3 during the initial drop into the cave. Ultimately, I found my last piece while jumping on a bouncy pad. Apparently I wasn't applying enough pressure to the back touchpad so Iota wasn't getting high enough to reach it. Camera didn't show that, though. I wish I could pinpoint the exact one, but it wasn't too far into the stage. Like towards the middle.

If you guys are just missing one piece, look that shit up, ain't no shame in that.
That's the thing, you can't look it up, lol. There isn't like a map or something. It could be any of them.

Exactly what it was. Thought I had gotten both but apparently I kept checking the other one that has the same issue. Now to get the last five trophies and I'll be done.

oh talkin about underrated games, my top underrated games of the year are-

Beyond 2 Souls

Remember Me

The Bureau
Glad to see Remember Me on that list. That game has a great soundtrack and a unique premise. You also have to give credit to Don't Nod for taking on such an ambitious title for their first game. They may have underestimated the difficulty of making a video game, but at least they are creative, new developer who isn't making mobile / f2p games.

Not to mention they fought to keep their protagonist when the dumbass publishers were wanting them to replace her with a guy.
