My Borderlands 3 stream is live (link). To echo what a few others have already said, I've played the Borderlands games almost exclusively solo and have had a great time. 3 does have some issues with frame rate drops (on a Pro in performance mode even), a slightly confusing map, sluggish menus and some leveling imbalance (doing all side quests and extra activities as I come across them has me overleveled for most of the content at level 37). Despite those issues I'm still really enjoying it and have no plans to play co-op unless it's required for a trophy.

Dammit HOF2 ... why'd you have to be @ 50% for the base game (as well as 2/3 of the DLC), but leave the last DLC @ regular MSRP?

Although only 2/3 of the DLC is on sale ... AND ... a GOTY/Deluxe edition seems like it's just around the corner, like HOF1's came out 2 years post-release, and HOF2 is coming up on 2yrs now ... AND ... spending money won't help the Defiant Devt. staff much following July's closure of the studio ... AND ... I can't say I've finished even 1/2 of HOF1, much less the difficulty-spiking Wildcards DLC. :cry:

... it seems like Defiant's assets are still controlled by the company's original owners (which I'd assume includes Lead Director @morganjaffit, who seems very cool & humble) ... AND ... the dev's seemed genuinely to be there at Defiant (unlike other grueling establishments) ... AND ... the base game had 9 free DLC updates since release ... AND ... HOF2 is commonly reviewed to be even better than HOF1 ... AND ... 50% off is hardly worth crying about.

Thanks PL, didn't know about the online redemption way. It even shows the keys I redeemed 5-7 years ago for BL2. Anyway since that code already expired, I found some other ones that work on pc, psn, and live (see spoiler). Earlier this year, they created a new Youth and Environment Alliance and quickly realized partnering with the video game industry would help them reach their sustainable development goals.

At SIE, we have made substantial commitments and efforts to reduce the power consumption of the PS4 by utilizing efficient technologies such as System-on-a-Chip architecture integrating a high-performance graphics processor, die shrink, power scaling, as well as energy saving modes such as Suspend-to-RAM. For context, we estimate the carbon emissions we have avoided to date already amount to almost 16 million metric tons, increasing to 29 million metric tons over the course of the next 10 years (which equals the CO2 emissions for the nation of Denmark in 2017).

I am also very pleased to announce the next generation PlayStation console will include the possibility to suspend gameplay with much lower power consumption than PS4 (which we estimate can be achieved at around 0.5 W). There's lots of rumors that a new Batman game will be announced on the State of Play stream tomorrow in addition to LoU2 and others. Lots of hints from the WB Montreal twitter page.

I used to hate on VR..... then I found a clearance psvr super cheap.  I bought it on a whim, fully planning to return it because it would either make me sick or just not like it....

Now I love me some VR :)

Things like Astrobot, Moss, and many more are definitely experiences any game loving person should experience at least once. Even if they hate it and never touch it again.

Yes, and I imagine those same people also don't care about baseball. I'm glad to see MLB on there, though. It always seemed like a good idea that they should give it away towards the end of the season or in winter as a Plus title. I'm a light sports fan who wouldn't mind dabbling here or there but will almost never spend actual money on a sports game. EA Access has no baseball, obviously.

 
Man what a great month for those that yearn for AAA titles. Of course most people already have these if they want them, but that's always the drawback.

I could never wait this long for MLB The Show as it's my #1 most played game every year but to get it right at halfway through it's cycle is nice for anyone who remotely enjoys baseball.
 
MLB The Show 19 is a win for me.  I don't want to spend money on a roster upgrade (we have '17 now) for my kids.

Boom. Free* game.

I don't have TLOU:R but I played TLOU PS3, so that's no big win for me.

Still, I could play it again in super hi def and get scared.  I won't play it.

 
I'm happy for next month's PS+ titles. I thoroughly enjoyed MLB The Show 18 but I didn't really want to buy 19 because I figured it was probably no more than a roster update. But I'm going to play it anyway and see how wrong I am or am not.

The Last of Us remastered is a great game for anyone who somehow hasn't played it or has been on the fence about it. Free is the perfect price point to check it out.

Also, that trailer for part 2 gave me goosebumps. I can't wait!

 
Yeah while I really enjoy baseball I pretty much never buy sports games as they too quickly get replaced and loose all value.  Will enjoy the show 19 for a month or two via ps+ sub.

I'm starting to see Sony's business marketing strategy very transparently. Finally put up TLOU as a plus game in order to promote TLOU2. Just like this month they put Arkham Knight in order to push forward whatever new Batman game is apparently being announced. Nothing exciting for me today, just more disappointment. We already knew TLOU2 was coming out soon, didn't need a State of Play for that.

Maybe the only thing I'm interested in is that new Death Stranding Pro bundle -- ONLY if it comes with a fucking 20% off code which I will end up overpaying for on the PSN codes trading thread.

Shit deals today. Still waiting on a horror sale so I can build up my Halloween playlist (they already squandered Friday the 13th this month).
