I had a hard drive error and had to get into safe mode and put a fresh copy of the OS on a flash drive for recovery. I lost everything but was able to get the same drive back up and running with no issue. If it won't go into safe mode then I'm not sure what to tell you, it should do that even if the drive has failed.

Another even easier step is to create a System Restore file of your drive as it sits now. If your Hard Drive gets corrupted, reinstall the OS, then copy the clone back to it so it is where it was before the shit hit the fan. I have a 2TB HD sitting to the side with a disk image on it now, and I plan on updating it every couple months in case anything happens.

Just a reminder for anyone holding out on buying the entire season that the final episode finally comes out on 12/3 (same day the sale ends). Although based on previous seasons, it will probably drop off shortly after that.

Well, I'm disappointed. Of the ~60 items on my wishlist, only Castle Crashers is on sale, and it's not even 50% off. I'm still sore it's not cross-buy with the PS3 version since I own that and haven't even played it yet. I guess I'll just have to hold out hope for a halfway decent Christmas Sale.

As disappointing as it may be that there aren't a lot of older games on sale, it's even more disappointing for me because most of the games they put on sale are available physically. If a game is available both physically and as a download, I'd prefer to own it physically. So I've got close to 60 items on my wishlist that are download-only and never go on sale. Some of them are very old at this point, Fruit Ninja VR has been out three years and never once on sale. At least you can get the games you want if you buy them physically, I've no choice but to pay full price on the games I'm waiting for.

Last years Playstation store sale sucked too. It was so bad some of us couldn't believe it. We all hoped for a black friday flash sale that never came. Over the last year it has become worse.

For the longest time the Playstation store had the best deals. Now we get less playstation plus games, no more emailed % off coupons, no buy so much get $ back promos and prices higher then the xbox store. And this years flash sales haven't been good either.

The Playstation Hits version is definitely not Spec II. The physical version of Spec II has a similar red themed box art but has 2 helmeted drivers instead of 1. It also has 2 discs (mentioned on the back box art) instead of 1.
