To follow up on my purchase of 428 Shibuya Scramble...I just finished the game with the true ending. I would say it is worth the 9.99. I got a lot of playtime out of it. I figured most of the plot twists, but the last set of 2 hours were the best and threw in a couple I didn't see coming. Only complaint was that sometimes the choices you have to adjust aren't' apparent from using logic. I had to use a few hints when I didn't want to.

The servers are down for the first few games you mentioned. I agree it would be nice, but I think it is too late to worry about PS3.

I don't care about the major PS3 releases really (even though I do have some that never got ported like the Resistance trilogy), it's niche Japanese games that I am mostly interested in. Lotta JRPGs and Japanese action games on the PS3 with no PS4 ports. And plenty of those games are PS3 only in general, no other console/pc versions.

Wouldn't make sense for a lot of those games to get ports which is why an all encompassing backwards compat system would be nice.

I'd love PS3 emulation so I could retire the system from my setup.  And since they haven't denied it yet, I still have hopes it'll happen.  PS2 and PS1 would also be fantastic especially if they could get it to automatically add trophy support, but that seems like a long long shot at this point.

Folklore is great and deserves to be saved.  If I can play War of the Monsters, I should be able to play Folklore.

I want ALL games able to be played.  I don't ever boot up my PS2 or 3.  Imagine if we don't have to and we can still play those games.

I want to pop in the disc for Aquanaut's Holiday and play it on my PS5.  I know that will never happen but Sony could and should.  Plus, who wouldn't buy a PS5 that could play every generation's game?

The PS3 was the system I bought the most physical games for, that I had ever bought, on any system. Blu-ray made it so many games, especially GOTY or complete editions, would be all on one disc, instead of multiple discs like on 360. I have since gone mostly digital with my purchases, but many of the GOTY and complete edition games were never sold that way digitally, and I will not rebuy them in tons of parts. So here is my list of games I own on PS3, that never got updated versions, I really want available on PS5

Honestly, some of the exclusives that never got PS4 releases are shocking, but PS3/360 was possibly my favorite generation since SNES/Genesis, so I want those games playable with as few systems hooked up as possible. I’m probably getting a Series X on day one because of backwards compatibility, and PS5 will likely not be day one because of the lack of it.

Best racing game I have ever played. 4 player split screen, online, tons of modes and skins. Decent DLC but the maps of the base game were all varied, exciting, intricate.

Punching another guy off his dirt bike or crashing your school bus into their buggy. Sadly the sequel wasn't as good imo.

I personally liked Origin’s story a bit better than Odyssey but Kassandra is one of the best main characters of any Assassin’s Creed game and the gameplay is top notch. Both games are great.

You also get Assassins Creed 3 remastered with gold, it’s a great deal. Assassins Creed 3 is underrated, although most of the quality and interesting bits are buried in the side quests. I got Assassins Creed Odyssey Gold a few weeks back and haven’t even started the game, been playing 3 too much lol.

I literally just found out first hand that the PS4 can't play music CDs after having no reason to ever try it before now. Not sure why anyone would think the PS5 is going to do magic tricks with old software lol

Yes, since you're also getting AC3, and some of the DLC is interesting, not all.

Now it's just random people in Animus instead though, can't say if that's better.

Was that only at launch or something? As I played it through to 100% on PS3 later and don't recall any major issues.

Spider-Man seems like an obvious inclusion eventually. I'm likely just getting Uncharted 4. I don't think I own it surprisingly (haven't played the Uncharted games though). Also another sho-in would be Uncharted Lost Legacy.

Is that with the media player app installed? I know you can't even play DVDs without installing some kinda app to actually play them. I assume it might be the same with CDs? Never tried

I've never had to install any app to play DVDs or Blu-rays on 2 PS4s and a Pro.

Now, Xbox One requires you to download the Blu-ray player app to play them and 4K discs on the S and X.

I guess Sony figures you could rip the audio files off the CDs and play them via USB through the media player.

I would never in a million years care but Pearl Jam sent their new CD to members of their fan club that pre-ordered it early as it doesn't hit streaming until Friday. I didn't have another CD player downstairs while I was working since my son was on the XB1X and I obviously wanted to hear it.

Honestly, kind of enjoyed this. It's weird to think of CD players as antiquated tech, when we still have all this physical media laying around.

Smart move, it's been cheap as a season and has some interesting ideas as a narrative game but the mixed reviews have always kept me at bay. Now I'll try and pick it up on the next sale if it's good.

I also wish Paper Beast had a dynamic theme for sale/free. That game looks more like a screen saver than a game.

On that note, does anyone know why dynamic themes all but disappeared from the PS store?
