This may be an unpopular and negative opinion but I almost feel like some companies make statements like these just to gain favor. Another form of social media whoring. Whether we are standing in solidarity or removing natives from our butter labels.

 
The Samsung 980 Pro, one of the first M.2 SSDs likely to be able to support the PS5, is being released on 10/12 and the 1TB version is going for $230.  Please note that Sony hasn't actually qualified any SSD yet as being compatible, so don't take my word for it.

Most definitely. It was by no accident MS made the Bethesda acquisition public the day before their new hotness entered the pre-order stage. Generating excitement is what all smart video game companies do. We always fall for it. It's human nature. Now it's up to them to actually deliver.

TBH they went smooth for me. PS5 I have ordered in four places to make sure I don't get screwed, and perhaps a Christmas present for the wife. All that took was watching for them to go live and a lot of persistence for the BB order (that I mainly wanted to get as my real backup order for the rewards points, but didn't need by then).

Hell, this morning I woke up 15 minutes after orders went live for Series X and was able to get an order in at Target with a little bit of spamming through the checkout process. IDK that I'll even keep that one, but the option is there at least. I think anyone who says they couldn't get one, really didn't try. Far from a train wreck IMO.

Myself and several of my friends tried to get a PS5, and with the website crashes etc, we were unable to get one. I tried Best Buy for over 2 hours, only to get to the processing phase and have it time out probably 20+ times. How you were able to get 4 separate PS5 orders is beyond me unless you have a horseshoe up your ass lol

Walmart was the easiest, just ordered when people said it was up. Target same deal actually. Amazon you had to have 'the link' for it to work because the actual product page was just error-doggo'ing out. BB I was randomly trying for probably 5 hours to get my cart to go through. Wasn't until people gave up late at night that it finally worked. Maybe I was just lucky then?

Well the source he did post was a sketchy one. Sometimes being so quick to push the panic button is how misinformation gets spread around. This just boils down to the issue with how news is reported now though, everyone trying to be first and using the same one bad source for reference and not waiting to verify information before publishing articles.
 
I have had several emails from Blizzard today with failed login attempts from unrecognized computers. It was enough for me to change my password. I think something happened.

I had already seen it reported in 2 places before he made his posting yesterday. As I look now you can still see there were several references on twitter saying "yes, it's legit". Sure they could have been more careful reporting the story but I can't find any fault for the guy who posted it. I sure thought it was legit at the time, or at least could have been, and in any hacking case you never want to wait until it's confirmed to take action in case it's too late.

I still remember how long it took Sony to admit that PSN got hacked.

Up to the Task trophy, you have to do a bunch of challenges, 2 of them is letting the game collecting scraps offline (must close your game completely before putting system to sleep). These are the only 2 challenges use the online server to validate your offline time to give you free scraps.

all trophies in mad max were fairly easy to obtain, but some were time consuming. some become more difficult if you try to tackle them after you finish the game due to spawns being harder to find, but everything is doable after.

if they are going to take the servers down they should just do a quick patch so that you can obtain scrap without the servers... if people wanna do a time glitch who really cares? scrap isnt a big deal and its a single player game anyway.

Whats the trophy? I might move this to the top of the queue if it’s fairly easy to obtain.

What are the odds some Ys sales happen tomorrow? Hoping for some psp titles (won’t hold my breath though).

The trophy is called "Up To The Task" and requires you to "Complete all non-repeating challenges". There are 144 non-repeating challenges. One of them is called "Dividend" which requires you to earn 2,000 scrap via the Scrap Crew. The Scrap Crew is an online feature that awards you a certain number of scrap each day based on how long you've gone without playing the game since the last time it rewarded you. Once online is gone, the Dividend challenge cannot be completed and this trophy cannot be earned.

It's literally the hardest trophy in the game, the one I never bothered to do. But you only need to do the 2 challenges that require online right now if you think you might want to get it in the future.

They were already remade for GameCube weren't they? Metal Gear Solid Twin Snakes. This would be a remake of a remake, a threemake.
 
Just a heads up for anyone that has any interest in 13 Sentinels Aegis Rim physical copy. If you want it, you might want to get it now. I picked my pre order copy up yesterday at Best Buy and noticed later that their website doesn’t have it anymore and it’s only by find a store option. Not sure what other retailers have in stock, but since it’s a niche Japanese title it probably won’t be around for long. Haven’t played it much yet, but the visuals are gorgeous as usual for a vanillaware game.

anyone who has been interested in digital games in particular, this is the time to be checking these sales. it wasnt too long into the ps4s life that sony basically stopped including ps3 titles in sales 99% of the time

Not sure what it is on PSN since I am at work but anything below 30 would be a record low on consoles. PC it just hit 23 something on gmg this week which is the lowest on there without a special service like VIP.

I thought it was... Okay? Admittedly I'm not a huge soulslike fan so maybe I was out of my element. The character customization seemed cool and the gameplay was fine enough for what it was. I ended up falling off of it after probably 10 or so hours. Maybe I was missing stuff but I felt like the story was pretty lackluster and the gameplay while fine just eventually wore me out. I've tried the from software games and I definitely felt like those were much harder than code vein - which is good for me - but I still couldn't cut it all the way through. I would imagine if you're into that style game it's probably much more enjoyable but for me it wasn't hugely successful. Then again having paid I think only around $15 or so it was worth giving a try. May go back to it one day but I also wouldn't be surprised if I don't

I'm personally thinking of jumping on Disaster Report 4. I've really wanted to play this and can't find a physical copy anywhere. Admit that it's more money than I was hoping to spend but may say screw it anyway. Would love to pick up one of the new EDF games as well (5 or IR) but my weekly covid budget ain't gonna allow DR4 + that soooo gonna have to think about it
