I do not believe there have ever been any dlc sales for the game. There’s not much dlc to pick from either, which is unfortunate. This game really makes me long for VR on pc. On pc they are able to somehow do custom tracks

Yeah, I really didn't understand this move on Sony's part. I realize there probably wasn't stock for reducing the price of the ps4 as usual during black friday, but stock was plentiful on controllers in every store I have visited recently. I guess we'll wait for the stores to run their own clearance cycles, but with very low stock on ps5s that may not come for a while.

I had to abandon the game once Demon’s Souls dropped, but got the platinum tonight and done with PvP for a bit while everyone catches up. Can’t wait to dive back into this one because I was pretty torn up on what game to play for a day or two.

I'm doing the opposite. Once I finish AC Valhalla, I'll probably buy Demon's Souls or find a way to rent it. No idea when that'll happen though because I'm 60 hours in and have at least 10 hours of story to do (probably more like 20), then there's a mountain of side-content and they're doing seasonal stuff in December that's pretty significant.

I will say, the game has a good number of bugs so if you're sensitive to that, then it might be best to steer clear before patches. None have bothered me too much though and the story, setting, and themes only get better as time goes on. That's pretty rare, most games really wear their trappings thin but I think AC Valhalla has ramp-up time with everything but the mechanical systems (which start pretty good IMO).

Even assassination/stealth become a lot better later on. Getting big classic-AC vibes.

I ordered the 85" Sony 900h from Best Buy for store pickup on the 25th. Looking now it's sold out within 250 miles and Costco was before that that's why I went with Best Buy. Seems like the Sony (all sizes) is one of the hot items this year.

I guess I should have started looking earlier than this last week. It seems these are the “it” TVs since they have HDMI 2.1 which both new consoles take advantage of. Hopefully they’ll be back in stock and on sale again before Christmas.

I found a new copy of Fallout 4: Game of the Year Edition that was clearanced out at Target for $11.98, but I discovered that I already had a new vanilla copy in my backlog.  Does anyone know if the GOTY edition and the vanilla edition have separate trophy lists?  I haven't opened either game yet.

Where? That's an awesome deal. Obviously, keep the GOTY and sell the other one. I think the GOTY has trophies for all 5 DLCs but the regular game is the same. I loved Fallout 4 GOTY and it has what might be the best side quest in any video game I've ever played.

For those with a PS5, guessing during setup if you transfer game saves from your PS4 over WiFi to PS5 there’s no way to stop it? I should have downloaded them from the cloud later because this is taking forever.

I thought it said it would do it in the background. But alas, nope.

I did my saves through PS+ over Wi-fi and it shouldn't take too long. What takes forever is PS5 recognizing PS4 stuff and downloading patches likely. Also note there is a good chance the PS5 will crash if you play a game like Spider-Man remastered and have the external PS4 attached. Crashed for me like 5 times. I've heard it's common with Miles Morales as well.

No Man's Sky on PS5 is a great upgrade. It runs smoothly like it does on my PC and the recent updates fleshing out the type of stuff that can appear on planets makes it feel like a new experience. The adaptive triggers are a nice touch, as R2 pushes up gently as you're about to overheat with the mining laser and the ship controls give some resistance and unique feel to the gas and brake controls.

Very likely yes. My friend playing Miles didn't have problems after that.

Unfortunately, Fallout 4 vanilla and GOTY share the same trophy list.

For those of you doing PS4 to PS5 transfers; can you select individual games you want to transfer over or does it have to be an all-or-nothing thing?  I didn't use the transfer feature myself since I have close to 2gb on the Pro and it wouldn't all fit on the PS5, but I'm curious if I were to use the transfer feature at any point, if I could just pick and choose or if it's a complete replace situation.

You can pick and choose what you want to transfer.

And it won't erase anything I already have on the PS5 or remove the game from the PS4?  Interesting.  Just too bad they blocked PT from being playable on the PS5.

Fallout 4: GOTY Edition is just the vanilla disc with a download voucher for the DLC.

I found a lone Fallout 4 GOTY at Target on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. Some people have found it for $9 at Walmart.

Archive of my Tesla Force stream. They took the core mechanics of Tesla vs Lovecraft and made it into a roguelite, which works well. You get your perks, upgrades, and maybe better weapons during the run and the Lovecraft monsters complete dark rituals to get stronger perks to keep them competitive, which makes for a tough challenge as you get later in each map. When you fail, you can spend your crystals on upgrades, unlocks, and such to give you a better chance on the next run, which works well to keep it going. Seems to be built around having to beat the game multiple times to really beat it.

Amazon did nothing, so I told them I was done shopping with them. Had a friend on the other side of the country that had an extra that one of his friends didn't need, so he sold it to me for cost. Shipped via USPS on Wednesday and got here on Saturday, which is great service.

I’m definitely thinking about it. I have GCU till the 2nd. They just sent me my 25% off coupon. In the fine print is says it’s valid with other offers. So I was thinking I could youse the coupon + gcu + $10 reward cert bonus + free Steelbook. I don’t usually preorder games, but it seems like a good enough deal if the coupon stacks with my gcu
