Havent had a ps4 a while, can i just buy cyberpunk on disc and play on ps4/ps5? Or do i need mandatory online updates? I would like to play the pre-day1 patch version

I’ve been enjoying really it on my Series X. I’ve been playing solely on quality mode and I haven’t noticed any issues with performance.

I’ve seen a few random glitches, like a character with a gun sticking out of the side of his head during a cutscene. Lol. It reminds me Skyrim or Fallout; with games this big and in-depth, it’s impossible to not have glitches. Personally, I find the glitches more humorous than anything else.

Actually that was a feature of the game. Massive dongs and head guns.

 
I am really enjoying it on the xbox one s. Its a bit blurry but my friend on series x complains more about blurriness lol, it actually looks quite sharp to me on series x from what Ive seen. PS5 seems to have an issue with the last patch that it crashes often. Otherwise it looks great.

Of course framerate and all is much better on series/ps5 anyways.

But the amazing music, the story, the side missions its all there on last gen. I would probably just get a ps5 but none of the stores here even list it on their websites so not sure they have any. PS4 pro would be relatively cheap used with guarantee, and seems to run the game quite well too so maybe Ill just do that.

Also wondering if like a gaming pc for about the price of a ps5, which would be like I3-10100F - GTX 1650 4GB runs it as well? Are the new Core I3s that good? Or its just pure low end?

The Management Board of CD PROJEKT SA with its seat in Warsaw (hereinafter the "Company") publishes the decision of Sony Interactive Entertainment (hereinafter "SIE") to remove the digital version of Cyberpunk 2077 from sale from PlayStation Store until further notice. The decision was made after the Company's consultations with SIE representatives regarding the possibility of returning the game to people who purchased it in a digital version via PlayStation Store and would like to return it. All digital copies of the game sold so far through PlayStation Store remain available for use by existing buyers. Players can invariably purchase a boxed version of the game direct or mail order. These alts are filling up my ignore list. There was another post complaining about Ubisoft open world games always being the same, but they also bought and refunded the newest wave of those. Can’t imagine why they were banned from Xbox
 
Either Sony totally screwed up their web store, or I am just an idiot and can't figure out how to use it.  They don't even show the prices anymore unless you click on something, and even then, I can't figure out the prices.  The filters are messed up.  Wtf were they thinking?  It wasn't like the old interface was great, but at least it showed the prices, had filters, and had deal sections.

Can someone explain why this is happening to me and if there are ways to ameliorate my/Sony's issues?  How does no one else feel as irritated about this as I do?  I have not seen/heard anyone else even mention the new store web page.

We were all complaining about the new web store a month and a half ago when they changed it. You're just late.

Literally all anyone talked about was how bad the web store is.

Sorry, I'm not very well connected anymore. Nope, not trolling, and really happy it's not just me. I hope they do something about it. the PS4 and PS5 were/are huge improvements as far as how stuff works on consoles (I think), so it is really upsetting to see the web store (which used to be the only viable option really) become (to me at least) nearly useless.

It's really starting to seem like they are delaying boxed copies on purpose to push people towards digital. Sure this is a special case since the existing PS4 version should upgrade just fine on the first date but other games are doing the same thing.

I get a lot of emails about performance issues. Maybe I should forward one to Sony to see if that helps them out

Its on sale already? I am not in the US we dont have Best Buy. The game is 65€ here still I checked. Since Sony licenses the disc and owns a part of it I wonder if they would cancel the discs too and if I have to hurry up in getting one, I also really want to see what Cyberpunk is like without the day1 patch. I wonder if there was more nudity in it for example that Sony/Xbox didnt allow and asked to fix in day1 patch lol. And if theres any performance differences.

For anyone that has bought the Shenmue 3 DLC bundle, is it worth the sale price?   Kinda wondering, as I plan to get to the game in the next month or so. It also appears to be the first time the bundle has been sale since it was listed.

I’m straight since I bought control ultimate from psn during the sale for $20 with free upgrade. Good to hear I’ll be able to play earlier than if I bought physical. Would’ve bought physical if found a really good deal and if I cared about adding control to my collection. It ain’t that cool to me
 
Does anyone know where/how you can get a 2 day trial of PS Plus if they stlll exist? I need to transfer saved data over to new console with Cloud Storage, but of course Sony requires you to have PS Plus to do so.

Trading thread or cdkeys maybe. Be careful tho with buying codes from non approved sources I just got permantely banned by xbox and lost all my digital library, its either for asking for too many refunds or some code I bought got "revoked".

Hey, I had this same exact question/issue with transferring my girlfriend’s save info from the PS4 to the PS5, and I thought she would need PS+ as well to do so since the PS5 doesn’t yet have the USB functionality for holding/backing up save files. However, if you still have both your PS4 and PS5 hooked up and running on the same wireless network, you can move the save files over using the PS5’s data transfer option. To do so, be sure you’re signed up/logged in to the account in question, then go to settings on your PS5, then System, then Data Transfer. From there, follow the instructions, and you should get the option to move that save data between the two systems.

Yea, I know of the connect the two console methods. Sadly, the person I'm giving the old PS4 too isn't likely going to wait around for hours until the transfer finishes, and he lives an hour away. He just happens to be coming this direction today. (I don't have the other console in hand to start the transfer until he gets here)

You can just use a thumbstick to copy the saves to it and copy them onto the new console.

Well I’m not sure how many save files are needing to be transferred, but if it helps, my experience doing so wasn’t time consuming. The data transfer can be a full DLing/mirror image of what you have on the PS4 (game install data, save files, etc), which would take quite awhile to do, but you can also just choose the save data by itself to transfer, which in our case, didn’t take too incredibly long. I understand your circumstances might be different though, so it’s entirely your choice in whether you want to try it or not. I just wanted to let you know that there was another option rather than utilizing the PS+ cloud save functionality to move the files over. Once we discovered that option, we saved money by not getting her any sort of temporary PS+ membership.

I actually did both when transferring PS4 stuff to the PS5. My PS5 was acting up when I tried to get saves via PS+, so I did the usb transfer and it was quick. I'm guessing took like 10 minutes or so total. Of course when I go to put this drive in my ps5 the other method works so I just use that. It's relatively painless. What's not painless is getting the PS4 stuff recognized on the PS5 from an external. Slow, errors out sometimes without saying game names, and PSN updates a plenty. Finally decent now, but that took me about 2 days to get right.
