Thanks, thats pretty big. And I like having my game on disc, think I will wait for a good price on GOTY edition.

Yikes, almost 8GB for Borderlands+DLC. Looks like if I continue this trend my 160 GB will fill up quick from buying all these discounted games, instead of buying the disc copies.

For around $50 shipped I was able to get a 500 GB drive and an external USB housing for the existing PS3 drive that I was replacing. So an upgraded PS3 HDD and a nice 160 GB USB drive for media/backup/whatever.

Ok, I asked this in the PS+ deal thread but maybe I will get a better response in here:

I remember a while back (before the PSN outage), that some of the PSone classics had PS+ discounts (like half price) with them.

However, since the PS store has been back up I have not noticed any PS+ discounts for PSone games (I am currently on my free month of PS+).

Does anyone know if Sony will be bringing back PS+ discounts for PSOne games? The PSOne discounts would be reason enough for me to subscribe to PS+.

You still have to install all the DLC to play it on the disc version of the GOTY edition and that still takes up some hefty space. I would say at least 3 gigs probably closer to 4. Although I can expect good deals on the GOTY on disc probably around holiday again.
yeah looks like your out of luck now. When i bought one a couple days ago there were at least 4-5 sellers selling $50 psn codes in a buy it now for $33-35. But it appears they are all gone and no seller has one for less than like $50.

so yeah i got it from
http://myworld.ebay.com/roch85

he said he would have more in next week but a. that doesnt help you if your trying to get in on this sale and b. he's probably gonna jack up the price.

lol in his feedback you see all these people who got $50 cards from him for $35 but there is one guy who he sold it too for 55.99. xD
I just contacted him and he's going to sell me 3 $50 cards for $35 a piece. Waiting on him to send me the codes. I'm naturally nervous as this is a "here's my money please don't take it and run" situation. Never conducted a transaction through Paypal without eBay.

Is there a limit to how much you can have in your PSN wallet? I wanted to add $150 but I can only add $50 (I had $50 in it already). I keep getting an error that I would exceed maximum funds allowed. Should I call Sony? Or is it similar to Xbox where you can only add so much per day? I could have sworn I was about to add $150 in the past.

Chrono, I got $100 in credit from the eBay sales and bought 2 more. Unfortunately, those two had to be refunded as they were invalid. I was wondering the same thing if I was able to procure more of those great $50 deals.

On a semi-related note, are you able to pay for extra Plus years from funds in your wallet? I don't see why you wouldn't be able to but I figured I should know for sure in case another deal comes up on additional years.

I'm pretty sure they will come back with PSOne deals again but I think Sony has been so busy trying to get everyone back with big deals that PSOne games have suffered.

I'm guessing the cap is a hard $150 since one more card would put me at $150.38. Almost worth buying something just to be able to use another card. Guess I can either hold on to them or try to sell/trade them to someone else.

As far as buying PS+ years is concerned, the answer is yes. I bought an extra 15 months when they still had the anniversary promo with the credit I had bought for 15% off. Best deal you could have gotten for PS+ save for even further discounted cards like the eBay ones recently.

Most of the PS1 games that were on sale with the Imports that Capcom and MonkeyPaw Games brought over and the rest were occasional discounts that weren't regular in any way. If you only want regular, reliable PS1 games for sale, you probably won't get it.

Good to know, thanks. I was hoping that there were rotating monthly sales on PSOne games since before the outage I didn't go into the PS Store much, and everytime I did it looked like PS+ had a few PSOne games at a discount.

I hated Limbo. It was not awful but certainly not good. Cost WAY too much for what was on offer and skated by with next to no worthwhile content trading on it's atmosphere, which wasn't really clever or well thought out. Failed in every endeavor it attempted, as a result, and then got praised for these attempts.

I am still mad, as you can tell.

I knew if I looked hard enough I'd eventually find the one person who didn't like Limbo.

Although I do agree that $15 (and even $12) is a little steep for this game. But what do I know - they sold a gazillion copies at $15, so you can argue they priced it just right. I picked it up for $7.50 on XBLA and felt it was worth every penny. I loved the story, the atmosphere, the platforming, the puzzles, the death sequences, the challenge of getting through with only five deaths... hell, I loved this game. I'm tempted to pick it up again on PSN - but not for $12.

I agree completely.

At its best, LIMBO is wonderfully atmospheric and, at its worst, it devolves into rote physics puzzles.
Eh, it's kinda the opportunity cost, when you stack up Borderlands: GOTY for $15 vs. Limbo at $12 it just doesn't feel like that great of a deal.
Very true. Even worse when you consider that x360 owners can get Limbo, Trials HD, Splosion Man and $2 of xb points for $10 right now at Best Buy.

Does anyone know if the PS+ codes purchased from Amazon (currently on sale) expire?

I am thinking about buying a code, but would possibly want to wait a while to activate it, and want to know if there is a limit on how long I can wait to redeem to code.

Find someone else; using RollingSkull as a source for why a game is bad is untrustworthy, at best.

Eugh, don't remind me. The same people who spew spittle flecked hatred toward Call of Duty raise this as some sort of high art without a hint of irony. So many of them, too.

As it stands, you ARE a little late to the game, it is cheaper on Xbox with that $10 deal and will probably appear on Steam just to annoy me further. You might get an even better shot at it there.

FYI: If you guys haven't bought Limbo as of yet, get it. It's one of the more interesting downloadable titles out there right now.

I just completed a trade last night for a voucher for it from another CAG and it's pretty fun. Albeit you may find yourself repeating some parts a bit till you figure everything out, but it's still a LOT of fun.

If your doing the Steam route, wait till a sale where it's 75% off. It will happen because it's Steam, but it may take awhile so be patient

Count me as among those who don't like Limbo. To me, it just seemed like a modern version of Another World or Flashback, but I thought both of those games were much better, and much more interesting.

Though for PC Mass Effect 2 you have to buy DLC through EA (can't get it on Steam) and I don't think it has ever gone on sale.

Went ahead and picked up Borderlands and Minerva's Den for Bioshock 2 (along with BS2 for $10 from Newegg). Don't have much interest in the combat only protector trials and all the rest of the DLC is multiplayer related which I assume is dead by now.

If you want a quasi-Limbo quick fix for free, just play Coma which released around the same time.

The bioshock 2 multiplayer community isn't dead but it might as well be. Lots of people leveled up that can jump as high as the ceiling, move faster, and shoot 1 hit kill rockets and plasmids at you. I got bioshock 2 and minervas den and am about to pick up sega rally online arcade.(a throwback game that is much better than revo but only has 5 tracks and about 15 vehicles)

Ah man, those were great games. As a kid I played Another World so many times but never finished it.

I got Limbo in a contest from Destructoid (free plug), and was glad I didn't pay the full price for it. It's fun in parts, but I felt like there was more of a story there that never got fleshed out. Someone else pointed out $12 for this versus $15 for Borderlands makes Limbo hard to bite at that price.

That being said, this week's sales are disappointing.

Thanks, just picked up Red Faction for $10

These are the prices of the THQ games:

PS3
Costume Quest - $7.49
Red Faction: Battlegrounds - $4.99
Red Faction: Guerrilla - $9.99
Stacking - $7.49

PSP
MX vs ATV Reflex - $14.99 - 231 MB
MX vs ATV Untamed - $9.99 - 185 MB

I'll probably pick up Guerrilla since that's a great price for that game. Microsoft is kind of shooting themselves in the foot by not offering sales on their GoD games since they have a much bigger selection, so I'm not sure why they ignore that potential while Sony's been putting about a game a week on sale for ~$9.99 or so depending on whether DLC is included or not.

Here are the new deals for this week:

I'm trying to get the Borderlands deal for $15, but it told me that I was not authorized to access that content...now its back to $30 for just the game and isn't showing the complete version (with the DLC) at all.

I thought this was supposed to last through the 26th, have they already taken it down?
