How old is he? Dead space extraction is pretty good for an on the rails shooter.
I actually don't like it. The game has more input lag than any other Move game I've played.
I had no issues using PS Move with Extraction. I even platinumed it before I let myself play Dead Space 2.
I was playing it multiplayer, so I wonder if that was the reason.
I had no issues using PS Move with Extraction. I even platinumed it before I let myself play Dead Space 2.
Same here, I had no issues with it. I prefer it over most of the move games I've played so far.
It appears Deus Ex Missing Link DLC is "on sale" for $9.99, it is 1200 points on XBL ($15). PlayStation Plus

Under Siege - $6.00 - Requires PlayStation Move
That's not correct. Under Siege is Move-compatible, but does not require the Move.

BTW : Can anyone confirm that pre-ordering the inFamous DLC gets you a dynamic theme? There's nothing in the PSN store that indicates that.
BTW : Can anyone confirm that pre-ordering the inFamous DLC gets you a dynamic theme? There's nothing in the PSN store that indicates that.
it did last week for sure, I assume it still does.
These have my attention:
Gunstar Heroes - $2.99 - Temporary Sale (Have it on Genesis, wish it would work on PSP.)
Crazy Taxi: Fare Wars - $6.99 - Temporary Sale (Is this any good on the PSP?)

Valkyria Chronicles II Bundle Pack - $22.49 - Includes Game + DLC (Is the DLC on sale by itself as well? Already have the game on UMD.)

Might activate my PS+ card for these:
Burnout Crash - $5.00 (Still have to play through Burnout Revenge and Burnout Paradise.)
Paramount Games Bundle - $7.50 - Includes Days of Thunder: NASCAR Edition, Star Trek D-A-C, and Top Gun (Are any of these fun?)
Valkyria Chronicles 2 Bundle Pack - $13.49 (Same as earlier.)

I'll do the research later, just want opinions on these games. Thanks ahead.
Crazy Taxi on the PSP is the best port of the first two games that I've played (between the Xbox, PSN/XBLA, and PSP versions). It's missing the soundtrack like the other recent ports, but it supports custom soundtracks so you can recreate that soundtrack and even add more songs if you want.

No, none of the Paramount games that I've played (Star Trek and Days of Thunder) were any good from what their demos showed.
Anyone have any recommendations for great Move-centric PSN titles? My brother just got one for his birthday, and I'm looking to pick up a few games for him. All of the shelf titles either look stale or a bit outside his age range.
Tumble, echochrome ii, Funky Lab Rat, Stardrone, and Under Siege. All of those but Under Siege should have demos.
That's not correct. Under Siege is Move-compatible, but does not require the Move.

Under Siege does not require Move. I have Under Siege, but I don't have Move and it works fine.

Just looked into it and Under Siege does NOT require the move, but it does support it.
Sorry, fixed it.
people seem to hate ghostbusters. i hated teh disc game, but this looked like a fun 4 way romp. any input?
I have both the Ghostbusters game and Sanctum of Slime. I also like twin stick shooters like SoS, Dead Nation, Super Stardust. But SoS is bad to be honest. It is incredibly repetitive and is middle of the road, it doesn't do anything bad per say, but it does nothing good at all. The story is forgetable/skipable, characters unlikeable. Also, the weapons don't expand past the initial 3 colors/types (no upgrades or new weapons), you earn money for doing stuff but those are just points, you can't actually spend the money.

The only real redeeming quality it has for me is that I got it on XBLA when it was listed for free, I would not pay for it.

I played the demo for SoS and I thought it was just okay. Some things bothered me in it but I can't remember what the were now. I also enjoyed the regular video game for GB but it had some annoying aiming/shooting mechanics at times too.

Guess I'll go with the PSP version of Crazy Taxi was considering the PSN version or the Dreamcast Collection version of the original Crazy Taxi.

Is Gunstar Heroes in any way improved from the original Genesis version? I have only about $9 in my PSN wallet so it is going to be either Crazy Taxi PSP or Gunstar Heroes.
BTW : Can anyone confirm that pre-ordering the inFamous DLC gets you a dynamic theme? There's nothing in the PSN store that indicates that.
I bought it last night, and once you complete your order, it brings up the screen to download the free theme.

Alien Zombie Mega Death and Top Gun for me. Great prices with the plus discount. Also, I dont remember About a Blob being on sale for so cheap, but I saw it online earlier for a big discount. It is 3.50 or something. So I will pick that up too.

I was thinking of Crash as well, but thought I should wait. I think it will go on sale again down the road.

To the OP, you should list the normal price and % off for each item as is done in the xbla thread. It makes it much easier to decide on a game, this is especially true since psn has strange price amounts like $6.

Huh? Just seeing Valkyria Chronicles II for $39.99, no mention of 'bundle' or DLC. Anyone else?

EDIT: Found it under All Games, section 'V'; apparently the incorrect, sale-less $39.99 is the one posted on the PS Plus section, at least when I checked. Got it! Sick price for game and DLC.

I can do the percentage, but having a second price seems like a bit much.
I can do the percentage, but having a second price seems like a bit much.
Oh, come on. It isn't enough that you keep this thread full of useful information and update it weekly. We need to know what a game normally costs to decide if the sale price is worth paying.

In addition to normal price and percentages off I want to see some detailed graphs, and monthly podcast recaps detailing the highlights and lowlights.

Screenshots for each game on sale as well. And at least 2 links to written reviews as well as your personal impressions of each game, or I'm never coming back to this thread ;)

I want your impressions written in Iambic Pentameter followed by a haiku relating each sale to some emotional experience from your childhood...and the original price...in metric.

I want a gigantic ASCII art of each game's title screen as well. You know, for people on dialup who can't load 20 pictures in under two seconds.

Wow Valkyria Chronicles 2 literally has 23 pieces of individual DLC...all small files but kinda annoying i have to download and install each one separately

I am sorry, but are we throwing sarcastic comments toward the fellow who requested more information or toward a certain other similarly-themed thread? Trying to get up to speed here.

I hear reading helps one to understand things and comprehend situations.

Tell me about it. I grabbed it all through my PS3 and then had to move it all to my PSP. Good deal, but man was that tedious.

Does anyone know if that is all of the DLC, or were there other ones that are no longer available?

Just to be clear: Frisky is doing the Lord's work and everyone should be greatful for what he does, not ask more of him. If that wasn't the intention, then ignore my sarcastic post.

Anyone pick up Rocketbirds? I thought the game had so much potential, but to say I was "underwhelmed" by the demo is an understatement. So now I'm not sure if I want it? Anyone have full-game impressions?

OK. This is kinda horrible.
PSN content removed from Amazon

This is always were I got my points to use on PSN!
As a matter of fact I was just about to go buy some when I ready this story.
DANG IT! This was my go-to for instant network points when I wanted them right away and did not want to drive to the nearest store 10 miles away!
And all of the content! They had so much stuff to buy.. All gone.
You may find some of the content, but it will be listed as "Available for Download Now" but "Currently unavailable".
MS had some kind of issue and took all of their content off, but AT LEAST THEY KEPT THE INSTANT POINTS CODES!
According to the story, Amazon is even trying to contact Sony to ask what is going on.
So, first they got their credit card database compromised; and everyone said OK, it happens, but we will just use points and not our credit cards. We feel safer that way. Now, they are starting to limit access to the points so you feel like you could HAVE to put in your credit card info.
It is a sad sad day.

It's easier if you go to deals in the new release section and there's an image for Sega Sale and just click on that.

Also sucks for Amazon not having PSN codes as they were the only place to buy a $10 code other than a physical card at BB as Gamestop does not have $10 cards or codes.

That really sucks about Amazon not carrying PSN stuff anymore because that's the only place I'd buy my codes since Sony got hacked earlier this year and my CC info was stolen.

Shame on me for delaying my purchase of points this week :whistle2:(

I beat it over the weekend and greatly enjoyed it. My only issue is that it's kind of short at about four hours to get through the single-player campaign. I'm not sure how much the demo shows or what you didn't like, so I can't say whether what you saw was a good sample or not.

Played the demo, and found the controls (on the land portions) to be too slow for my taste. There seems to be a slight delay between your button pushes, and the events that they trigger in the game. I've read quite a few reviews on gamerankings, and some have mentioned the same issue.
