I broke the $60 barrier last night. Here's what I picked up during the month:

RE: Code Veronica X $10.00
Rochard $7.99
Infamous: Festival of Blood $7.99
Pixeljunk Sidescroller $7.99
Burnout Crash $5.00
Ghostbusters: Santum of Slime $4.89
Costume Quest DLC $3.49
GT5 Complete Pack $8.99
Heavy Rain DLC pack $4.99

I bought everything, except the Heavy Rain DLC, when it was on sale.

I've been thinking of buying a PS+ 3 month sub, black ops then would be $39.99, I already purchased sideways for $9.99 so I need to spend $50.01 to get $10 and would prefer to buy PS+ and then some discounted PS+ games taking full advantage of the deal. Such a huge backlog though I'd probably be best just not buying anything but these deals are still enticing.

I don't get why people are spending $40-50 on stuff they normally would not buy just to get $10 back? If you are at $40 then sure spend $20 to get $10 back, but to me if you are at anything less then $40 it just isn't worth it.
Yes I bought the Fortune Hunter's club. Theme is all you get now and it's not even animated like the Subway one. Only reason to get it is to do the $60 promotion and get the Uncharted DLC automatically.
Thanks for the info. That was my final purchase to put me over $60.

I could see that. I really don't buy a whole lot of stuff off PSN but with RE4, Code Veronica, PS2 Classics and other stuff that went up this month. It only made sense for me to do the promotion.

Don't get me wrong, I took part in it as well, but people who are $20 and are fervently trying to find another $40 worth of stuff to buy to get just $10 back, I don't understand.

Agreed. PlayStation made it real easy to spend $60 over the course of the month (especially for PS+ers) but if someone only at $20 at this point, you're really only saving 25% on any other purchases you may make to get up to $60.

http://blog.us.playstation.com/2011/10/31/get-jurassic-park-the-game-free-with-1-year-of-ps-plus/

If you buy a one year sub to PS+ starting tomorrow through 11/8, you'll get Jurassic Park: The Game (all four episodes) for free when it releases on 11/15. It's a $29.99 game in case you're wondering about the value of the game itself. This also includes current subscribers that renew their sub and those that purchase the one year PS+ cards:

Special note: This offer also includes purchases of PlayStation Plus retail cards from online sites and stores, but you’ll need to make sure you redeem those codes in the PlayStation Store within the 11/1 – 11/8 timeframe. This is only available for purchases of one-year Plus subscriptions; the three-month subscription will not count towards receiving Jurassic Park free.

And looking at the PS+ offerings for November, Jurassic Park: The Game will be on sale for $24 for PS+ members for its launch.

This really sucks, I just re-upped about 2 hours ago to take advantage of the spend $60 offer. I was all happy about it too!

I bought Mercury hg, 4 Elements HD, and Auditorium HD and they're all absolutely great. Three fantastic puzzle games for a grand total of $10. I love PS+.
Unbelievable that Raiden III would be released on the PSN! Already have it on disc so I'm good. Just wish Raiden Project would be released on the PSone (Raiden I and II).

Might consider Harvest Moon Save the Homeland. The last generation console Harvest Moon that I don't own.

Got Auditorium HD downloaded, just need to start playing it.
Raiden IV would be nicer!

Yeah I agree. I'm at like $27 now, but there's not point in dumping another $30+. I briefly though about picking up the U3 fortune hunters pack, but not even that was enough to convince me. I admit though, they had some really great deals this month and a packed schedule. November will probably pale in comparison.

I had $55 in my wallet that's been sitting there for over a year now so I went ahead and spent it all for this deal.

Uncharted 3 Fortune Hunter DLC $24.99
Gunstar Heroes $2.99
Ghostbusters Sanctum of Slime $6.99
Zombie Apocalypse $6.99
Tetris $6.99
Burn Zombie Burn $4.99
Burn Zombie Burn DLC $1.49
Legend of Mana $5.99

I pretty much only buy PSN games when they're on sale so last week helped a lot. But their discounts aren't very good lately, I guess they're trying to artificially make PSN+ seem more valuable by giving 30% discounts now instead of the usual 50% off. Zombie Apocalypse was just 400 MS points, Tetris has been $5 before.

It's a bit like getting a 16% discount on everything after the $10 back, so I guess in the end it evens out. And it makes the Uncharted 3 DLC deal a little more worthwhile. Purchase cutoff is 11:59pm October 31st, they didn't give a specific timezone so assume it's Eastern to be safe. Apparently we'll be getting a voucher code that expires December 7th, but once redeemed the $10 will be added to the wallet where they have no expiration date.

Not really in my case since I already have Raiden IV on the Xbox 360 already. Being able to play Raiden I and II (Raiden Project) on my PSP would be awesome.

Not really into Jurassic Park, but might consider renewing my PS+ for another year.

Edit: Then again, I could just dig up my Sega Genesis version of Raiden I and look for my copy of the PC version of Raiden II. Just want a legitimate portable version of Raiden.

This is 100% true and also very annoying.

Not sure if I should also feel a bit cheated on this. As a PS+ member we were promised additional discounts and (typically) we only get the discount everyone used to get and non-PS+ members just get less of a discount when things go on sale.

Still well worth it imo. So much content every month. I'm glad I adopted early. The program as a whole has really blossomed into a well organized and rewarding membership instead of fizzling out after a few months like I thought it would.

I feel a bit cheated, but not enough to not enjoy PS+ and more than likely will re-up next year. I signed up right after PSN came back up after the outage when they were giving 3 free months and had a big sale in which PS+ was already saving me $10+. Since then the content and discounts have been very good and I loved the RE4 half off discount...

We get discounts on many of the new releases, which never happened before PS+. I'm the type of person that likes to get the games I'm interested in as they're released and PS+ saves me a lot more money than I used to.
I find it hilarious in the one month they do a refund promo, i spend less than 3$ XD (All on Avatar's).
Yeah, I'm pretty much the same. There wasn't anything worth my $60 in deals that I was willing to spend. In the past, I remember getting Borderlands Game of the Year for $20 in one shot. Probably hit the mark on that month.

Anyway, hope there will be better deals to come since the refund promotion is over.

An excellent point Frisky. I did buy Sideway last month because of the discount. Though honestly 20% is rarely enough of a discount to warrant a purchase for me. It's coincidence with the $60/$10 promo was enough to justify the purchase for me.

That being said I really wish Dungeon Defenders also had a discount its first week so I could justify buying it on PSN to get the PS+ pets instead of buying it on XBLA for full price just to game share it with my brother.

Anybody get their $10 yet? I spent over 60 last month and don't see it added. I pretty much already bought everything I wanted to buy, but I want my 10 bucks lol

Really? Cool your jets man. The promo just ended yesterday. If we see the $10 show up before the first two weeks of the month has passed I'll be surprised.

Also all 3 Crash Bandicoot (well 4 if you count the cart racer...) games for free? Sweet! There haven't been too many free PS1 games that I have been interested in but I could definitely go for a romp through Crash again.

Moderator on the PS Blog said you should receive a message (probably on your PS3) with a voucher code in it no later than the 15th of Nov.

Anyways, why am I tempted on Hasbro Family Game Night for $10???

Great deal. I renewed for another year to get the free JP. I have felt that PS+ has been well worth the $50 for me as I got several great free games I actually played not to mention the good discounts on others. Even ignoring the freebies I didn't play or want I got at least 3x the value of the $50 in the first year.

I'm fine with the credit showing up by the 15th. About the only thing I really plan on buying is the Nightwing pack for Arkham City.

I'm fine on the credit showing up by the 15th, but really, their computer systems could automatically generate the credit during the system update. Wish the actual PSN store was a little be easier to navigate for announcements (whether for promotions, or new games).

Looking at Gamefly's upcoming list, it looks like there are some PSN games coming to retail soon with Bejeweled 3 (bundled with Zuma and Feeding Frenzy 2), Plants vs. Zombies (bundled with Peggle and Heavy Weapon), and the 4-in-1 Action Pack of Creat Studios games (Mushroom Wars, Digger HD, Wakeboarding HD, and Smash Cars).

Did anyone pre-order the Uncharted 3 Fortune Hunter's Club? I've noticed I'm still able to buy it when I think the buy now option usually disappears for content you already own?

I have the theme so I'm pretty sure my order went through. But there's also a bunch of skins in the store for $0.49 each...

I really hope those aren't extra skins for sale separately from the coming DLC included with the Fortune Hunter's Club. $9.99 online pass and day one DLC that isn't a part of the DLC pre-order pack? They're really nickel and diming the shit out of us.

You're not nickel and dimed if you don't buy it.

Dezaemon Kids! is also part of this week's release as a PSOne game. I own the actual Japanese CD release and it's awesome. I think, depsite the misleading name, that it is superior to Dezaemon Plus since the creation tools are easier to understand, there are horizontal shooting stages versus just vertical in DP, and much more overall polish. There are also 100+ handmade games included in the second "disk" which I think is also included with this PSOne release.

Even if you don't make a game you're still getting a lot of value for your money. I remember enjoying quite a few of the handmade games and was surprised at the level of ingenuity people used.

Note that the game is still in Japanese but you can pretty much figure out how to navigate the menus if you mess around. Usually MonkeyPaw Games has a menu translation guide on their site for such a release but I don't see one at the moment. There may be one built-in if you hover over the game listing then press the Triangle button. I'd buy the game to check but MediaGo is acting weird on me and my PSP doesn't like my new router security settings :p

Anyway, I totally recommend this game. It's really one of the neat gems in my Japanese PS collection and I'm glad MonkeyPaw Games released it in NA.

Mine didn't show up as being purchased at first, but once I downloaded the first of the 3 MP skin packs (listed as free like the PSN preorders,) the Fortune Hunter's Club had the red cart/already bought symbol on it again.

FYI out of the 7 packs they promise in the season pass 3 of them are just the MP skin packs that are priced seperately at $2.50 each and all those are is the MP skins that were pay (or free w/GotY voucher) from U2. So you have to look at it as paying $25 for 4 MP competitive/co-op packs that would normally cost about $37.50 seperately.

My PS+ runs out on the 5th. Looks like it's time to renew - I'd like to keep playing my free copies of PvZ, Costume Quest, RE1-3, Streets Of Rage, Jet Moto, and all of the other stuff people say isn't worth it.

I might get Bejeweled 3 disc bundle and 4-in-1 Action pack since I don't have any of those games from the PSN.

Was debating on getting PS3 disc version of Plants vs. Zombies bundle. I decided not to. I wasn't very impressed with the demo to Heavy Weapon and I already have the Xbox 360 disc version, which comes with Peggle and Zuma instead.

Might get Super V8 Racing (for moment I thought about the vegetable juice when I first read that title) or Daytona USA. Had the PC version of Daytona USA back in the day.

Might also get Sonic 4 Episode 1, then again I might wait. I just got Sonic Generations on the Xbox 360.

Got an email saying my $10 credit is available about 30 minutes ago. Already made my purchases for stuff this week, so I'll hold off til next week to use it. It says it expires December 7, 2011.
