2 systems only for game sharing or logging in accounts?
I think you're still restricted to about 16 accounts per machine.
The new restriction is for downloaded content. Prior to the 18th, you can have 5 separate machines authorized to play downloaded games (at one time). After the 18th, that number will be reduced to 2.

The restriction for video/movies has always been 1, and I don't think that's changing.
Does it have to be the 1-year pass?

Thinking more like just doing a 3-month to see how I like it.

The one thing preventing me from subscribing is: Not being able to "BUY" some of the discounted items PS+ gives out for free... meaning, that once my PS+ subscriptions expire, I won't be able to keep the stuff. I'd rather buy it on sale rather than get a free rental.

Example: Resident Evil 1-3 on PSN One Classic were all 50% off to purchase and keep forever, but PS+ members only have the option of downloading them free until their subscriptions run out.
Yes, it's for one year subs only. They're not giving away a $30 game to people that only paid $18 for a three month sub.

I think the issue with that situation is that Sony didn't really anticipate any possibility that people would rather have the non-PS+ deal instead of the PS+ offering, so there's no way to toggle between the PS+ and PSN offers.
Just a reminder that the PS+ Jurassic Park promotion will be ending tomorrow with the update, so be sure to buy your one year sub from the PS Store or redeem a card from a retailer before then.
Thank you for doing a great job maintaining the thread, FriskyTanuki. I went ahead and bought a PS+ One Year Subscription earlier to qualify for the Jurassic Park promotion.

I do have one question regarding PS Plus. Do the free DLC Add-On's for games you purchased and own get locked out if you let your subscription lapse? I just downloaded the DLC's for Magic Orbz and Cuboid and am curious whether they will just go poof when the year ends. I know you do not get to keep the monthly "rental" full games when the subscription lapses, but was never clear on where the DLC add-ons fit in.
If anyone bought Family Game Night, let me know so we can play a game online and get a trophy.
I'm thinking about buying it but can't tell... does it include Scrabble? That's really all I want. But I can't tell from the description if it includes all the Family Game Night games or just a few of them.

Was a little unclear to me too. My understanding though is:

Free game + Free DLC = expires with Plus
Paid game + Free DLC = yours to keep

That said I'm not positive. The closest thing to a straight answer I could find was on an unofficial FAQ here.

I assume it includes the games on the disc version of FGN. Scrabble was one of those games. Also: sorry, connect four, battleship, yahtzee and sorry sliders.

Just booted it up. It includes: Boggle, Yahtzee, Connect 4, Sorry!, Sorry! Sliders, Scrabble, and Battleship. No optional DLC for Connect 4x4, Pictureka, or Jenga though. Maybe they will add those later? I can't imagine why they wouldn't be available at release. They should have just included them with the game imo.

damn, had been sleeping on the Jurrasic Park deal..don't have funds on my linked account to pay for it, so probably going to buy a 1 year sub at BB using the credit card..here's to hoping the store doesn't update before 5pm CST so I can get it done!

I'm in bestbuy right now, had planned on buying heavy rain director's cut because it said in the psn blog that it was coming out on the 8th. Well it's not out till the 15th here apparently, can anyone confirm if heavy rain directors cut is going to be out on psn itself?
Is PSN download the only way to get Hasbro Family Game Night? I don't think I've seen this one on disc for PS3. It's a great price but I still prefer discs because I'm a dinosaur who likes box art on his shelf (even if it sucks).
sorry about the late reply but I just saw it at walmart this morning (or at least family game night 4)

Is the Jurassic Park deal good all day today? I plan on updating I suppose....I meant to buy a $50 card, but I think I may just use my CC....hmmm.
sorry about the late reply but I just saw it at walmart this morning (or at least family game night 4)
Yea each of the HFGNs have a different set of games in them. I'm probably going to scoop up the double pack (has 2&3) and HFGN 4 when I can get them cheap.

I'm almost positive that you lose the DLC as well when PS+ expires. I remember buying Magic Orbz for like $3 when we all got free PS+ for a month and so I downloaded the DLC for free. After the free month expired, I could no longer get into the DLC on Magic Orbz.

Decided on not getting the deal, since Jurassic Park was like another Back to the Future story-click game (for some reason I thought it would be a FPS).

You got it mixed up with Turok. Easy mistake to make since they both have dinosaurs.
What time does the store update?
Tuesday.

There is no specific time that the store regularly updates. It happens when it happens. I've seen it update in the early morning and late afternoon.

The only free things you get to keep are avatars and themes, you can't use free DLC anymore after your PSN+ expires.

That sucks. I went to kmart today and there were no shipments of metal gear collection so I used my $20 coupon from uncharted 3 on a psn card. Just bought the 1 year of psn plus a minute ago. The deal will probably end up sucking unless there are some great discounts this year. But after the resident evil crap, I get the feeling I've just been made a sucker.

got my $10 credit at midnite. yep check your received messages on xmb.
never got an email, so keep vigilant.

n yeah a few folks got it for spending only 50ish, good for ya ;)

I was scared MGS Collection was gonna be hard to find at Kmart, so I used my Batman coupon on Xbox points and got MGS from the Newegg deal last week.

For PS+, I can personally vouch for Topatoi at 70% off. I really enjoyed it, even though it's kind of simple and kind of needs the DLC to be considered a full game.

I have a question I went and bought the renew of Playstation Plus when I got home today at around 4 PM PST does that mean I will still get Jurassic Park: The Game?

Another week without a PSOne classic game for sale.
PS1 Classics
Chrono Cross - $9.99 - 778 MB
Also, Final Fantasy V and VI are coming November 22 and December 8, respectively.

Isn't Magic Orbz always on sale? Or is this a further discount than normal? I could swear it's one of the games that is always discounted for PS+.

Normally $7.99 (20% off the normal $9.99 price), but now it's on sale for everybody at $4.99 so it's $3.99 for PS+.

Thought it was something like that. Thanks Frisky.

How do I check the status of my PSN+ subscribtion?

I just bought a year off the network and the email they sent me included "Next Renewal Date: 07/06/2011 @ 01:00 AM". Huh? What?

Sorry, if this a noobish question lol

Edit: Found it, I'm good to go :)

Can't wait for Jurassic Park

Gotta love BestBuy.com saying DLC codes will be emailed within 15 minutes. It's been 2 hours since I bought the PSN+ code and I still haven't got it. I'm gonna miss Jurassic Park!

Anybody play the new PSN game, "Where is my heart?" It looks pretty cool, but besides joystiq touting it, I haven't hard anything else.

Anyone got any info or have played it?

move mind benders is a blu-ray compilation that drops in europe this week. it compiles echochrome ii, lemmings, and tumble.

i wish there was at least a psn bundle like that if they don't release it in north america. seems like i've been waiting on an echochrome ii sale for forever.

where is my heart is awesome. it just passed monsters probably stole my princess as my favorite psn mini.
http://indiegames.com/2011/11/where_is_my_heart_on_psn_soon.html
It's loosely based on a personal experience from when Die Gute Fabrik's Bernie Schulenburg went on a Sunday hike with his parents:
"They got lost in a forest and confronted with this problem they came to face each other's negative personality traits. Bernie's father showed his anxiety and this made him switch to 'bossy mode'. Bernie's mom responded to this as she always did: She turned to lamenting about her life and existence as she had been doing for the 25 past years of her partnership.

Bernie on his side fell into his well known patterns of regret, remorse and disconnectedness. Here there were three hurt children-at-heart, not understanding nor able to break out of their predicament. This game is Bernie's clumsy attempt to come to an understanding with himself and his parents as a family."

Yeah, I just finished playing the game for review. It's pretty cool, and is one of the most heartfelt games I've ever played. I think a lot of people might complain about the $7 price point when the game comes out, cuz it's super short and the gameplay is very simple.

whatever you guys do, do NOT download the uncharted 3 1.01 patch. a whole bunch of my items disappeared from my multiplayer profile: weapons, medals i bought as i leveled up, etc.

even my subway items (from buying drinks/cups) are gone: there is no subway drake (w/ green and yellow shirt) and drake's ak is now "locked."

wtf?!
i finally get funds on my ps3 for burnout crash and they raise the price...
lol.... Same here, I usually keep an eye on the psn+ on the last chance section to see how much time I have left and I guess I missed out.
