Actually I changed my post a bunch.:booty: But yeah, Sony's definition of several really is pushing it if they think it means 14 frickin' hours.:roll: They better make my PS3 dance a jig if they're gonna take that long for 'maintenance'.

What really sucks though is that before if you were signed into PSN when the maintenance started you could keep your system signed in. Now they're gonna give everyone the yo heave ho for 14 hours.

What if I'm attempting to download Far Cry 2 that day finally on my snail speed DSL?:cry:

Not a chance of that probably, but a hypothetical possibility.
 
Why does Sony have so many maintenance outages, and why do they take so long? Was it like this before they got hacked? I wasnt online much before that happened...is it a vulnerability issue while upgrading that makes them take so long?

I certainly hope not. Although my friends on PSN who used to always play GTA every night haven't been playing it regularly in weeks, so maybe the outage will give me a chance to actually delve a lil deeper into Skyrim.;)
Or actually finish Rayman Origins or any of the other 10 games I've bought in the last two weeks:whistle2:#

I didn't know PJS2 and RE4 were on sale for 50% off before. I guess that makes the deal a bit worse for some people but it's still a lot of games at a large discount.

To celebrate Killzone 3’s first anniversary, we’re releasing a standalone version of the game’s online component on PlayStation Store today. Dubbed “Killzone 3 Multiplayer,” it includes the Guerrilla Warfare, Warzone, and Operations game modes, as well as the original Killzone 3 maps and all Killzone 3 DLC maps. Best of all, it’s free to try – you can play any of the maps and modes until you reach the rank of Sergeant I.

If you want to keep playing, attain higher ranks, and earn any of Killzone 3 Multiplayer’s four exclusive new Trophies, you can unlock the full version for only $15. Doing so will net you a 24-hour double XP bonus, three free unlock points, the ability to set up clans and custom games, and access to the Botzone mode to help hone your combat skills.

For those who already own Killzone 3 (or decide to purchase the full version of Killzone 3 Multiplayer), we have another anniversary treat: this weekend will be Double XP Weekend! That's why I would probably try and download it starting in the morning sometime, since I'm usually never playing on the PS3 at 7-8am, so it'd be perfect to just let it run and download while I'm upstairs catching some zzz's. Either way though, I'll probably just wait till I can find the physical version of FC2 really cheap($5 or so) and just grab it then, since I hate keeping my system on when I'm not in the same room.

I was just using FC2 as an example of sorts.
 
Wow, Storm released to absolutely no fanfare. I thought it looked pretty cool.

Besides the unexpected 50% off the KZ3 MP for PS+, not a lot of major deals. Hydrophobia is back to $2.99, which may lend credence that the game's developer is going out of business. Couple PSP games on sale as well.

So, over on the Playstation blog, they say that Patapon dropped to $9.99, but list PS3 instead of PSP. Is it now playable on PS3 or is it just a typo?

Typo. They make this same typo almost every week. (incorrectly labeling PSP games as PS3 games).

Horrible update. That Burnout Paradise "deal" is an insult considering the deal that went on last year.

I just hope this terrible update doesn't carry over into March's PS+ content.

I think the issue you might have heard of was them not putting up the first MvC3 pack or the Jill/Shuma characters at all.

They just added them and they are only available for those who actually paid for them. (Not those who brought the MvC3 SE last year)

They said they were going to investigate, and refunded the funds to my wallet today.

My renewal happened on the exact day they were doing the Vita maintenance, roughly the same hours as the delayed schedule, so I wouldn't be surprised if that caused it in the first place.

yeah 7.50 is a good price for a solid mp game with all the bells and whistles. i went ahead and got it.
 
yeah. i have kz3 full game, but im thinking of getting this 7.50 mp only, since that is all i would play anyway and flipping my game to recoup some losses.
anyone that has kz3 multiplayer care to share how big it is? gigs?
also any info on 4 exclusive trophies? are they added to main game or can i stack this with the kz3 plat i have. also i have all dlc, i guess i could earn those trophies in this mp version since they said all dlc maps are included? thanx alot

ouch, 4gig? well, guess after a week of farcry 2 im gonna delete those 4gigs... i need more space...

all the dlc maps are included in the $7.50 price? wow. I bought one of the DLC maps and never really played it before trading in kz3. i still have a helghast unopened that I got for free though... dunno.

4073 mb in size. i think all the mp maps are added in the price.
 
About 4 gigs for the KZ3 Multiplayer?! My PS3 is almost full with less than 2 gigs left.

I was thinking of buying KZ3 when I find it cheap and downloading KZ3 MP for all of the maps.

I probably should just wait for the map packs to go on sale, hopefully for less than $7.50 for PS+ users.
