i got castlevania for free with all the levels by a stroke of crazy luck, and I have got to say im really glad i didnt pay for this, even on a sale price after wanting it so bad.

its fun but its so much work, its basically a grindfest in a sidescroller. the enemies are kinda fun to kill at first, but when you realize what each char needs you have to go hunting bosses and chests and whatnot hundreds of times before finding one stupid item.

wish I could grab RE4 and Code Vernonica for $15 or so for the pair. $10 each seems steep for such old games.

Now that I think about it, I have a 60 minute full game trial of Dungeon Hunter I haven't played. I'll try that before buying it(obviously, lol:roll:) to see if it's anything like the iPod touch version I played some of and like/d.

There's no full game trial for that game, but there's a normal demo for it.

I grabbed Infamous FOB for $5. I hope that game doesn't go free for Plus users around next Halloween. Still on the fence for RE4. If it was $5, I wouldn't hesitate, but $10 for a game I've already beaten...not so sure.

Hmmm... I had to check on that. Downloaded 11/28/11. Says trial, but I notice there is no yellow bar to the right of it like some of the others.

Unless you somehow managed to create your own full game trial or got one from a foreign store, there's no way that it would be a full game trial. If it were one, you'd see a mention of having sixty minutes to play it in the information section (Triangle > Information).

Damn. I didn't want to waste it, thinking it was a timed trial. I'm starting it up. Thanks!
Thanks for properly listing the ps3/psp sales frisky. Not sure how the PS blog blows this so bad every week.
Yeah, thanks frisky! Your format is so much easier to read and look for what I want.

In for Festival, not sure about RE4. I already have it for PS2 and I haven't even beaten it yet. I don't really care much about trophies really, either.

SF2 for free? SOLD! I haven't played this HD Remix. Cool! Took a minute to install.

Edit: When I say it took a 'minute', I mean it took longer than expected to install after downloading. It had to be updated.

Yeah I'm stoked they're giving out SSF2HDR for free. It's one title I've been meaning to buy but never got around to. Can't wait to play!

Argh...I didn't think Angry Birds would go down for less than $2.50 for PS+ members. I spent my last $2.50 on some other PS+ discounted game.

Also, it seems most of the games I voted for did not win. Look like I have to make a trip for another $20 PSN card.
PlayStation Plus Deals

Dungeon Hunter: Alliance - $6.29 - Ends 3/13 (Not really interested.)
God of War: Origins Collection - $19.59 - Ends 3/13 (Going to wait for the disc version to go down in price.)
Infamous Festival of Blood - $4.89 - Ends 3/13 (Might pass since I still have to play the original InFamous.)
Limbo - $7.34 - Ends 3/13 (Have from the 360 compilation.)
MotorStorm RC - $7.49 - Ends 3/13 (Have Revolt already.)
Resident Evil 4 - $9.79 - Ends 3/13 (Have this on PS2 backlog.)
Street Fighter III: Third Strike Online Edition - $7.34 - Ends 3/13 (Might get.)

PSP
Dissidia 012 [duodecim] Final Fantasy - $14.69 - Ends 3/13 (Already have on UMD.)

PS1 Classics
Chrono Trigger - $4.89 - Ends 3/13 (Have on DS so I can pass.)

Angry Birds - $1.95 - Ends 3/13 (Don't own on any platform.)

Might get Resident Evil 4, even though I have it on PS2. Might get Street Fighter III, even though I'm no good at SSFII HD Remix. As well as Angry Birds since I see some sort of reference to the game everywhere I go like balloons and plushies.

I think you'll probably enjoy SF3 a LOT more than SF2HDR. It has a much more manageable learning curve, and plays more fluidly IMO. That said, if you've played CvS1/2, or SF4, you'll probably have no trouble.

Also: Good job those of you that voted for the port of Chrono Trigger for the PS1 classics section...:dunce: /facepalm

I got RE4 hd for $10 when it first came out. Still have not got past that trapped dog part, I blame the controls. I can't remember sucking on shooting stuff that bad on RE4 ps2. lol

Picked up Chrono Trigger and RE4 HD as a playstation plus member. Sly Cooper 1 for free is pretty nice too, but if the other two never go on sale, and I want to play the whole series, it will be moot point when the whole collection drops below $20. Have to pass on God of War Origins for $19.59. While it's nice, it will almost certainly hit $16 eventually, and I have too big a backlog to buy it now.

I think that people were voting for Chrono Trigger as a SNES classic instead of Chrono Trigger as a PS1 Port that was one half of Final Fantasy Chronicles. I love Chrono Trigger, but this is not the ideal way to play the game and I wish Xenogears had won instead.

I've been wanting to get Infamous: FoB but haven't pulled the trigger at $9.99, knowing that it'll eventually go on sale. I'll definitely be picking it up at $7 as long as I have enough room on my PS3...

QFT, Xenogears should've gotten the top award IMO as well.

What I DO know, is that this version of Chrono Trigger suffers from the same PROGRAMMED IN load-times from the PS1-disc version (like entering combat, or the menu). People used to chalk it up to being a disc-read issue back on the PS1...but as it turns out it's also present
when running it in an emulator
as well as the PSN version.

It's a rather jarring pause for anyone who played the original SNES version (or the DS re-release, I guess). The same issue exists in FF 4/5/6, but since there's a screen-wipe effect when entering combat its not quite as noticeable.

/end warning

Sorry everyone, Chrono Trigger was the only one of the three offered PSOne games that I didn't own. I'm part of the problem.

Ass Bros. for $14.xx was awesome though. I now own the entire series on PS3 and paid a grand total of probably $60 for all four between the $10 digital copy of AC2 and the on-disc version of AC1 that came with Revelations.

I voted for Chrono Trigger because I don't have it and Xenogears sucks. I'll also pick up Angry Birds and maybe Infamous.
Said RE 2 was on sale for 2.99 but when I go to purchase it, it says 5.99? Am I missing something?
Resident Evil 2 was on sale a few of months ago.

Picked up inFamous: Festival of Blood. I also bought RE4 for the third time (first on GameCube, then on Wii, now on PS3). Hopefully I'll actually play it this time.

Any thoughts on Code Veronica? I've never played it but I have cash in my PS Wallet to burn.

Unfortunately I already have alot of the games that won. I also have both CT and Xenogears... therefore, speaking impartially, I'm surprised that people would actually WANT Chrono Trigger... the load issues are pretty damn annoying, and I'd have to imagine most of you own one of the other systems that it is available on (in a better form)

Okay so I just bought a 3 month PS+ sub, just to make sure the only thing I need to change so it doesn't auto renew is the option under transaction management, correct? There's nothing else?

I love how a lot of you think you know what other people own or motivates them to vote for certain games. I dont get the whining about certain games not winning. We all want games we want for as cheap as possible, but you can and will live without them! Stop being babies about it.

Sorry, I am on the rag today.

I'm a big RE fan and I played Code Veronica fairly recently (in fact I think it was just last year). It is very true to the RE formula, so if you like that cramped, desperate, and tense feeling of RE, you'll definitely enjoy it. If I recall correctly, I jumped a few times myself. Others will tear it down, but I stand behind it as a great addition to the series.

I had Code Veronica on Deamcast and liked it, but if I remember correctly my save game got corrupted (damn VMU battery) and I was so pissed I wouldn't start a new game so I never finished it.

I bought it yesterday and plan on beating it this time.

Picked up FoB last night and actually tried to download it. Big mistake. I don't normally get things on Tuesday as soon as they update, and I don't think I will again. I think I downloaded 30Mb in about 90 minutes last night.

So I just turned it off. Turned it on this morning to resume and it was getting more like 1-2 Mb per second, which is much more reasonable. Should be all set to go when I get home from work tonight.

Picked up RE4 and Dissidia. After playing the wii version (also played the Gamecube version) RE4's controls feel so awkward. It makes it feel so much harder than it really is. Seems like poor controls are the biggest barrier between me enjoying some HD ports- I'm looking at you MGS3.

You should be on the rag more often. Pretty sensible

Don't worry, it's probably just the blood loss that's making you say such silly things.

I don't like where this thread is headed in regards to the treatment of women. I realize that these are just jokes, but attracting bears is no laughing matter.

Thanks. I'll check it out. I've had funds in my PSN Wallet for awhile with nothing great or cheap enough for me to spend it on recently.

i wish i was more decisive. even after I got the $50 code for using my playstation credit card once I can't take the plunge on the resident evils or infamous. Maybe its that I have too many games to beat as it is, and I want to finish a few more disc games and trade them in.

But will I regret not buying these during sale times? I love motorstorm but not a huge fan of top down racing games. How is this title?

I wouldn't buy it, but since I got it free on the Vita, I'll play it. The controls are lacking. Game reminds me of super sprint on the nes.

I am sure you all realize I was only kidding as I can't bleed from an orifice that I dont have, however there are some people that believe men have a sort of menstrual cycle as well. Thankfully I think I was just pissed at my wife (the real bleeder) and my employees which happens often. LOL.

And this talk reminded me of one of my favorite quotes. I may be a pig, but I dont care.

As Mr Garrison once said "I just don't trust anything that bleeds for five days and doesn't die".

EDIT: So this is relevant and doesnt get deleted, I will be getting RE4 now since I didnt get it on sale earlier. And thank you Real Deals!
