All these "normal" games on sale (digital only) + VR games i need to pick up as a new owner. 

Sony has me dropping over $100 on this sale.

So $5 a pop then, hard to say no at that price. As a general consensus kind of thing I'd say people still like KH1 but it is a product of its time (came out before modern 3D action games were really established), chain of memories is somewhat disliked (mostly people don't like that it's a hybrid card game and action game), KH2 is still seen by most as the pinnacle of the series, and then Birth By Sleep is kind of torn. Fans of KH2 hate how bad BBS is as a straight action game while others love all the variety and experimentation you can get into with the gameplay (the combat centers around using abilities from what is basically a hotbar and you can combine abilities together to make new ones and there are a ton of different things you can make.)

Personally I like all 4 but Chain of Memories can get a bit repetitive as there isn't much variety in the gameplay for how long it is.

Nah, KH2 is literally just an action game and nothing else*. No platforming, no puzzle solving, no exploration, basically no secrets. You walk from one screen to the next just fighting handcrafted encounters or doing big set piece encounters (every world usually has multiple boss fights and some sort of event where you have to complete some objective while fighting off waves of enemies.) It works out though because on higher difficulties specifically the action is really incredible and the enemy design is pretty amazing because of some nerdy technical stuff not worth going into.

*That is with the exception of the first 2ish hours of the game which is an incredibly lengthy story driven tutorial that is pretty miserable where all you do is play mediocre mini-games and watch cutscenes.

Yeah the biggest complaint with the game is that it's just endless fighting where all you do is push X to win which is very true on lower difficulties but on proud and especially critical you really have to learn every enemy attack and how to respond to them, which enemies to take out first in a pack, the best use of each drive form and summon (since they all excel at certain things) and if you really want to get into it abusing the ever living crap out of limits for their i-frames. It all works out really well because of how the MP system works and the hard limit they put on how many items you can use per battle.

I used to really hate KH2 honestly but playing the PS3 release last year on critical made me really respect the combat designers, it's almost flawless in its design and yes the post-game bosses they added in final mix are incredible.

I think its worth it just for "The One" mode alone. Their version of career mode and unlike 2K18 you level up your single player and online team play guy from playing and not micro transactions as the only MTs in the game is the usual Ultimate Team mode which I barely touch.

It's solid and is better than NBA 2K has been in a few years. The career mode has been a lot of fun, as it's not bogged down in story stuff that removes choices from the player.

There's only one Final Fantasy game on Vita and it's not on sale. The rest are PSP games and PS1 Classics that are BC on Vita and don't have trophies since they're PSP games.

Yeah the biggest complaint with the game is that it's just endless fighting where all you do is push X to win which is very true on lower difficulties but on proud and especially critical you really have to learn every enemy attack and how to respond to them, which enemies to take out first in a pack, the best use of each drive form and summon (since they all excel at certain things) and if you really want to get into it abusing the ever living crap out of limits for their i-frames. It all works out really well because of how the MP system works and the hard limit they put on how many items you can use per battle.

I used to really hate KH2 honestly but playing the PS3 release last year on critical made me really respect the combat designers, it's almost flawless in its design and yes the post-game bosses they added in final mix are incredible.

It sounds like I’ll enjoy KH2 quite a bit.

KH1 is easily my favorite of the series. It's got actual platforming (I was majorly let down by the complete lack thereof in KH2), the story wasn't too convoluted yet, and it was packed with Disney charm and pure wonder.

My trial from PS Now wasn't showing up so I emailed them a couple times and they checked it off for me and actually checked off my Vue trial I hadn't even done and the email was in my promotions emails right away. Sucks they're ing you over on it.

I have to admit, I had to research about 75% of the titles. They were games that I had no prior knowledge of before this sale, but they seemed like something I'd really enjoy. I'm also zeroing in on VR games since that's a novelty for me right now. I want to take advantage of as much as the deep discounts as possible, then I'm walking away from CAG. My new year's resolution will be not to spend any more money on games...maybe.

I’ve been waiting for that one too. Apparently there was some recent update that added some content to the game. I’m guessing they’re using the update to justify the full price tag for the forseeable future. Maybe mid-2018 we’ll see some movement.

I know a few pages back someone asked what pinball tables (for zen pinball 3) were good for beginners, but what i'm wondering is which out of the bunch would you recommend above all else? What is your favorite set of tables?

I would say the 'Sci-Fi Pack' would be my favorite package of tables. All great tables. Other Zen Originals packs I like overall are the 'Medieval Pack' and the 'Core Collection'. And I like what little I have played of the new 'Universal Classics' & 'Carnival & Legends'.

Marvel: 'Avengers Chronicles' & 'Vengeance and Virtue'.

Star Wars: 'Balance of the Force' & 'Heroes Within'.

Otherwise, all packs are mostly better than not and really comes down to personal preferences. Going for what properties you prefer (Marvel, Star Wars, Aliens, etc.) is not a bad strategy, though my personal least favorite pack is 'Balls of Glory'.

Mother Russia Bleeds - beat 'em up

Mages of Mystralia - action rpg with deep spell system where you build your own spells

And honestly, that's just the tip of the iceberg. i'm not particularly into metroidvanias or platformers, so just skipped over those.

I’d say it’s well worth it. Beach Buggy is a decent cart racer and the jet ski racers are fun.

Blue Rider is one I found that I've never heard of before, described as a twin stick / shmup. Has mixed reviews, but is a genre I like and cheap, so I'll pick it up. But since you also like the twin stick shooters, I was wondering if you have heard of this one and have any thoughts about it.
