Dissidia 012 Prologus Final Fantasy - $8.99 - 40% Off - $7.49 - 50% Off - Ends 1/2/18

This is a joke.  Its a demo and costs more than the complete game, been asking Sony to fix this issue for months now, since apparently no one who works with the store does Social Media.  The only thing this adds is Areith(s) to the main game and is proper price in other PSN stores just not the US store.

I thought for a second to pick it up since it's finally on sale, but decided no, this is stupid that they haven't been able to fix this all of this time.

Nintendo is the best in the business. BOTW has become the best game I've ever played. I may be a little bias towards the Zelda series but wow, it's just so amazing.
I've been playing Zelda games since the NES, but this new one just did absolutely nothing for me. There are moments of genius, but there's also long stretches of absolutely nothing. The lack of enemy variety, dungeons, and memorable bosses doesn't help either. It's like there's two bad game decisions for every great one.

Yup. I played about an hour's worth and couldn't force myself to keep going. I think I've just outgrown Nintendo. Same for Mario Odyssey.

Loving Xenoblade Chronicles 2 though.

I felt kinda 'meh' about Mario Odyssey as well, but only because of BotW. Not that Odyssey is a bad game, but BotW has set the bar so high that it's ruining anything else Nintendo is offering lol.

I'm gonna give BotW another shot now that I have an actual controller and will play it on my big screen.

#GamingGoals

God damn, man. You put the rest of us to shame.

I just finished my second playthrough of Little Nightmares (my first real game of 2018) and I found it quite good. I'm at 84% complete -- I'm not going to get that platinum. Looking forward to that last DLC.

Besides that, I've really got to give it up for Life is Strange: BTS. Those are my favorite kinds of games. Really can't wait for that bonus episode later this year.

The only other one I got to on your list was Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, which was just a pleasure, like the rest of that amazing series.

There's about 5 or 6 in your list I'm hoping to get to this year, but I don't think I'll be able to break 100. My unrealistic goal would be one game per day.

...

And yes, I'm up at 5am, still contemplating the last of the 1/2/18 sales.

Don't feel bad. I grabbed Iron Crypticle for PS4 this morning before I left for work because it just seemed like the type of game that I would like to play. And since I have limited funds to spend on gaming right now, I've been grabbing more indies than AAA games because they're cheap and can be played in short stints before bed or whatever. I almost bought Momodora, but I held off since that one will be on sale until 1/16. I'm not much of a Metroidvania game fan, and other than the pixel graphics, I'm not convinced that I will play it much.

Are we late to the party for the Bloodborne CE? I don't see a  link for it anywhere, and I know my wife would love the statue.

I just got a Wii U cheap last week and am loving BoTW. That said, I also grabbed the HD versions of Wind Waker and Twilight Princess. As much as people think “linear” is a bad word in games, I still enjoy a great story and straightforward campaign. Had played a little of both games on Wii but didn’t get around to finishing them. Am glad I didn’t in the case of TP because playing with a real controller is awesome. Think I’m getting too old for motion controls LOL.

Still enjoy, at almost 49, the Mario games I got as well. And same thing...picked up Super Mario Galaxy 2 and it’s fun but liking Super Mario 3D World far better using non-motion controls.

Guess even in my old age I don’t out grow nostalgia but I do outgrow having to get off my ass to play a game. :)

Xenoblade Chronicles X is good as well. (Yes, I’m a generation behind on all these games except BoTW, but it was way more affordable than a Switch atm.)

Also being able to play many of these right on the GamePad has really been nice. Gaming while my wife is using the TV!

Your Wii U posts made me almost rebuy the system. I still have my games but sold my wiiu a while ago. Still have a couple of games to beat on there.

i felt the same way about mario galaxy. i am still going to go back to it and force myself through the first few hours because i am sure if i give it a chance there is an awesome game under there.

But i loved Mario 3d world and Mario Odyssey so much so i really have no desire to ever go back to Mario 64.

And i will always have a WII U because of Mario 3d world and Nes Remix unless they port them over to switch.

Yeah, that was my GOTY in 2015. XCX held my interest for over 100 hours (without trophies even!) but unfortunately I've already lost interest in XC2 after not even 30 hours.

Quick! Somebody sell me on Jotun: Valhalla Edition. So far I've got "it looks cool."
I bought it.

Another game (Pyre) for the backlog. I feel like I play a ton of games (56 completed in 2017) so I'm always amazed to see others who play even more. Thanks for the list - there's quite a few I bought and haven't got to yet so 2018 should be a good year!

I purchased over 50 games this past year. I beat only Risk of Rain.

I skipped it because the platinum looks unattainable or at least controller breaking frustration inducing to obtain and also it has been on sale so much that I think it will find its way to PS+. But if trophies aren't your thing and you are going to play it soon then pick it up, the game looks good, like an indie shadow of the colossus.

PS+ games are available to be acquired. May only show free in cart at the moment. Also, despite what the PS Blog said, Psycho-Pass is not crossbuy. Vita only.

Week 4 sale banner is also up. Unsure what is new so far though.

Ended up grabbing Cities Skylines since I’m a sucker for city building games (that and it doesn’t run on my PC).

Odin Sphere's on sale. May grab that. Resident Evil 7 too, though the discount's crap.

Was really hoping for Nier or Horizon (know that one's unlikely since the DLC just hit and they delisted the vanilla...) From my wish list it seems like a pretty weak week but maybe I'm missing some things.

Still one more week. Have to determine what I want to spend. May grab Tekken 7, hearing a lot of good things lately and has me curious.

No sale on "The Surge" this entire month?  Bummer.  That was the one I was hoping would get a decent drop in all of this.  Off to Steam I go!

Think I’ll grab N++ for $7.49.

Also may add Risk of Rain or BUTCHER. Any thoughts on one or the other?
Risk of Rain is odd and great. Best with a friend. I got sucked into it for longer than I expected.

The complete edition is on sale, but the base game was of course left out. At least so far.
I see that now. Thanks! That's a bit steep considering the base game has gone on sale for $20 in the past. The single player DLC that's included is $15 full price, so not much of a bargain if you consider $20 a decent price for the main game. Hoping that still goes on sale.

Not sure if the Batman Telltale season pass will work like the past ps+ episodic season passes (GoT and LiS), but might be worth a shot if you can hold off playing until next month. I can't remember if anyone tested with getting the other GoT/LiS episodes during same time period when its SP was free to see if it gave them an expiration date or not.

If you can't wait to play this Batman, please let us know if any episodes you download now also expire when your ps+ sub runs out.

TL;DR: Get free ps+ Batman SP now, backlog it, wait until it drops off next month, then get the individual episodes since you still "own" the SP ps+ version. Doing it this way should let you keep them even after your sub expires

Yes, it is. If you like rogue-like platformer games, it should be up your alley. I play it almost as much as Spelunky which is my favorite game in that genre. Risk of Rain has tons of replay value.
Thanks! Might suck it up and get BUTCHER too. Just looks awesome. Ah, what’s another $4 (he says, watching his bank account dwindle...while his backlog grows exponentially).

I played Risk of Rain on PC, but I got a decent amount of hours on it. It becomes slightly easy when you unlock a lot of stuff. Also it's fun trying to beat the game as the Sniper solo (it's not super hard). I think I unlocked all achievements but one (drowning an enemy). Well worth it.
