Anyone noticed that it's mid day of release and no reviews have popped up for Amazing Spider-man 2? I was expecting a 7/10 average, but no reviews is a pretty bad sign.
It's a possible rush job to tie in with the movie. Man I wish we could get an awesome Spidey game. Some of the Beenox ones are ok but haven't played them all. I wish Activision would give up the rights but they probably sell fairly well and they can milk it every year.

Totori is second in the Arland series. It goes Rorona->Totori->Meruru.
This is true, but to be clear you can start with Totori w/o any problem. I believe you can even start with Meruru w/o any problem. I wouldn't not buy Totori because you hadn't played Rorona. The name refers to the main character -- you're playing entirely different characters with different stories, not continuing a quest or anything like that. If i remember correctly, the biggest connection in Totori to Rorona is that Rorona had been Totori's mentor (and you eventually see her again, etc). Nothing really lost playing in whatever order you want.

I highly doubt I can take whatever is scribbled in that post and successfully implement it on my laptop.

I'm a console gamer for a reason. When I turn my console on my controller works with it, unless the battery is dead.
I agree with you but the 360 controller did wonders for PC gaming once developers started supporting it.

Was it the XB1 version that's been discussed on numerous outlets? I have the PS4 version on hold at my library and the first one wasn't bad, so I don't mind giving it a go.
No idea what's up with the X1 version, it was supposedly not coming out but then supposedly is out. Who knows. Probably worth a go if you can get it from the library.

I'm stopping that shit at the source. Plus as a long time Nintendo fan I don't need to hear why "xyz" is so great. I made the decision not to buy a Wii U for a reason. It's not my bag. Plain and simple. Everyone takes harsh posts about a brand personally for some reason. Plus a rebuttal to an opinion is stupid. You are allowed to have yours and I can have mine. Plus I got to use the big red font.
Huh? If a rebuttal to an opinion is stupid, what the fuck would that make a rebuttal to a fact?

The only time rebuttals make any sense at all is if they're in relation to opinions.

As has been said before, everyone has a right to an opinion, and everyone else has a right to bash that opinion into the ground if it's stupid. Denoting something as opinion doesn't shield it from criticism, in fact, if anything it begs for it.

I highly doubt I can take whatever is scribbled in that post and successfully implement it on my laptop.

I'm a console gamer for a reason. When I turn my console on my controller works with it, unless the battery is dead.
Download the latest version.
Extract it.
Run scpdriver.exe as administrator with your DS3 plugged in.

Congratulations, you can now use your DS3 on Windows as a 360 controller!

Your opinion sucks.

He didn't threaten anyone. I made a snarky post about the fact that a number of frequent users of this thread were showing up in the thread devoted to the 'Golden' sale. He felt I was being publicly nasty to him and some folks in this thread. There was plenty of nastiness to go around in that thread.

I'm sorry for my part in it and I'll go back to lurking the first two posts of the PSN thread that Frisky maintains if he allows me to.
You must've missed the post where he shared photos of the mass grave-site he keeps in his backyard, or the one where he posted dozens and dozens of bloody knives. It was like a modern day Freddy Krueger.

Blitzball is the worst. Did you win the Luca Stadium game? I'm thinking of retrying it. We go to overtime, they crowd my guy with three defenders, pick off the ball, goes like a meter from the goal and just owns the goalkeeper.
This exactly (if that's first match where win or lose the story progresses). I couldn't find any other way to do it. There's really no big benefit from winning though, is there?
I did win the Luca game. Pretty much went to OT and then scored a goal with Wakka. Easy squeezie. There really is no benefit to winning the game.

I just did the Remiem Temple race, so now I think I'll play some Blitzball.

Amazon sellers: Is there a way to get my funds as an Amazon gift card rather than having it be deposited to a bank account?
Unfortunately, no.

Oh no, now you're cross contaminating back from the XBL thread.
Wait, are they discussing that in there? I haven't visited that thread since asking about my potential-scammer situation, so if they are, I seriously had no idea. :???:

Patient Zero!!!

Yeah, it was a big thing yesterday as people started discussing the quality of the prequels.

I'm sort of a pseudo admin over at toucharcade. My sole purpose is to delete and ban spam threads. I think I do a pretty good job of it. So anyway, 99% of spam threads there are about streaming movies online. They use to be straight forward and would just say "stream the Avengers online!" and that kind of thing. At some point they started trying to be more clever. Well, not actually "clever", more like weird. So I just killed one on there now that had the thread title, "Blowing the lid off the Tupperware movie". That one is pretty unique, I'll give them that!

Serious question time: For FFX, which Sphere Grid should I pick if I played and beat the original on PS2 nearly a decade ago?
I stuck with standard since that's what I know. If you pick expert, you could run into some sticky situations if you don't have the right abilities down the stretch. Of course there's nothing that a little grinding can't solve.

Armored Core: Verdict Day and Battle of Z (Vita) are updated for PS+ members. I haven't checked all the prices, but Chrono Cross, Hyper Dimension Neptunia Victory, and Ys are still not updated.

Depends what you want. I went with standard, because I like to max stats and it has more nodes. Plus, there's very little chance of you screwing anything up during the game with it.

If you want to plat the game as soon as possible, go expert. There's a trophy for filling every node, and obviously fewer nodes makes it easier. Plus you can still beat everything you need to beat with it just fine.

I'd still pick standard every time, though.

It's a possible rush job to tie in with the movie. Man I wish we could get an awesome Spidey game. Some of the Beenox ones are ok but haven't played them all. I wish Activision would give up the rights but they probably sell fairly well and they can milk it every year.
I had a slim hope that this one would be a return to the good Spider Man 2 era with the improved web slinging.

A few of the posts I've read on GameFAQs (...what?) say the game is an improvement over the original AMS, though the crimes-in-progress system can apparently get a bit annoying due to how failing to address them (or ignoring them altogether) negatively affects your Hero Gauge (or whatever it's called).

The greatest Spiderman title was Spiderman 2. I'm suprised how if given some room to breathe and a passionate studio, you get a great series (Batman Arkham series, Warner Brothers and RockSteady).

looks like most (all?) the prices are updated.  I'll use the rest of this post to list off the things I'm going to purchase during this sale because that is the tradition of our people.

I'll probably sell off my SCV and ZoE HD collector's editions and pick them up digitally.  And I'll buy the stupid MGS HD collection on ps3 so that someday maybe I'll actually give it an honest try again (but probably not).  HSG :ps3: so I can double dip on trophies on one of my favorite all time games.  And I'll skip on Muramasa in the hopes that it'll one day be freeeeeeee here in the states.

I've been watching a twitch stream of it on PS4 and the side missions are kind of immersion breaking.  There's an intro loading sequence and outro sequence.  This happens a lot during the main missions too.

There was a side mission chasing a car and they played out almost exactly the same with a small variation.  The problem is that they aren't very dynamic.  In the car chase, neither of the vehicles is actually moving until you land on the cop car's roof to start the mission.  I watched him land near a rescue mission and after the sequence, it warped him onto a nearby building.

Quick question on the Metal Gear HD collection. Can you download each game individually or do you have do download all of them at once? 21 GB would take me forever to download.

Free Games (Don't Argue About This, Please)
Castle of Illusion Sega Genesis Bundle - 470 MB X [customspoiler='Includes']Full Game + Castle of Illusion (Genesis) + Mizrabel Dynamic Theme Until 4/29[/customspoiler]
Frisky, this link from the OP doesn't seem to work anymore, despite it still being 4/29. I also don't see the bundle when I manually search under "illusion".

This just makes me happier that I'll be playing it for free.

Then they changed it back a few days later. Bastiches.
I've yet to see somebody address whether PS3 to Vita now works for those. You could transfer them before, they just didn't work. That they worked briefly indicates the actual games on PSN were replaced with new versions that were Vita-compatible. I suspect they work fine with PS3 transfer now.

Most likely because the store's mostly updated it's dead now.

Also since only one person seems to have figured it out the sale prices are live even though the sale isn't on the sale page yet.

With Muramasa being on the EU PS+ list for May, doesn't it make sense for it to show up for us sooner rather than later (e.g., sometime during the summer)?
Someone else pointed this out earlier, but the omission of Hot Shots Golf for the Vita would seem to indicate that it's next in line for a PS+ slot. So that would be June at the earliest since May's lineup has been announced. Is July too soon for Muramasa? That would be 2 1/2 months going by the usual schedule. They could put Muramasa in the lineup next year and people would still be complaining about spending $7.50 on it.

IT! Wow, what a cool game IT must be! Is the clown as scary as he is in the movie/book?

Muramasa Rebirth worth the 7.49

also  better pick

Chrono trigger or cross.. Got to remember most  PS1 games look like crap on the vita  (either  too streched  or too small)

So am I correct that the MGS collection on sale today contains all the same games as the Legacy collection in stores, except for #4? I thought Legacy had more. If so, they brought me closer to a buy during the sale. Still can't decide on Vita or PS3 versions though.

Let me put into context why rebuttals to an opinion are stupid.

First no rebuttal:

Me: I hate this game!

You: I love this game!

Me: Ok cool

Now rebuttal to opinion:

Me: I hate this game!

You: I love this game!

Me: fanboysim %^&#%^@^@%^@#$ fuck

You: Brand LOVE $%%@^@%^@% fuck

Me: fanboysim %^&#%^@^@%^@#$ fuck

You: Brand LOVE $%%@^@%^@% fuck

You: No I'm right

"Wasted Energy"

Me&You: UGH!

The Vita version has only MGS2 & 3, while the PS3 version has those two plus Peace Walker. The Legacy Collection has those three games and MGS4, plus MGS1 and VR as digital codes. I think it includes the original Metal Gear games, as well.
