Good. I realized last night that nobody in my friends list has a score for the 2nd pack of tables in the dedicated Star Wars app. Couple in Zen 2 have them, but that doesn't help with the "beat a friends score" trophy that doesn't exist in Zen 2.
Now if they would just put the Marvel tables on sale... maybe if they get enough of a response from this sale it will motivate them to do more.

Tomb Raider Guardian of Light, I'm not sure if I'd be into that game, I might check out a demo first if possible.
Spec Ops On the Line, Heard good things about the story, but it sort of looks like just another war game.
Mini Ninjas: I don't know... is this actually good?
GoL is nothing like other Tomb Raider games, but a really excellent isometric coop shooter. You can play it single player but you'll have a lot more fun with a friend, although I would recommend it either way if you're into that sort of game (though it sounds like you're unsure on that front). If you have someone to play with it's a no brainer.

Spec Ops is anything but what it looks like, and is amazing once you get past first appearances. I don't want to spoil anything, but it's definitely worth playing and the current price.

Mini Ninjas I've been enjoying, but it's not going to blow your mind if you had your fill of 3D platformers in the N64-PS2 era (I'd compare it to Jak & Daxter, with more abilities). It's fun for what it is and fairly well polished despite arguably being designed for kids, so I'd recommend picking it up if like I said you aren't sick of 3D platformers.

Guac is really pretty fun. I have trouble getting anywhere in Spelunky.

So...my Sony account got banned because I did a charge dispute when it auto renewed me the $15 charge for 3 months.

I wanted to buy the 12 month renewal instead. Forgot I had auto renewal on.

Took forever to get a web chat with a sony rep going. Now they say I have to pay that disputed $15 first.

No, I want to give you $50, I tell them.

Okay, call this 1-800 ....

Like I want to spend another half hour on the phone dealing with this.
So you did a credit card dispute for a charge you had authorized, knowing full well you had authorized the charge? I'm shocked that Sony isn't bending over backwards to make you whole.

Yeah, those areas are what I was referring to. Anything where you're on a vehicle especially is quite annoying. Combined with the control issue, the camera just makes things much worse. It's not unplayable, but the two together were at fault for just about every death I had.
I'd still say that the normal platforming controls are some of the best in the business. It's a shame that the sequels go away from the first game's strengths.

That rolling long jump animation is a thing of beauty.

That patch of dark eco plants that you have to cure with green eco is a thing of nightmares.

I'm wondering if he talked to Sony before filing the dispute with his credit card provider. Chargebacks are a sure-fire way to piss a company off.

Yep. It makes it seem like you're trying to scam them even if that's not the intention. It's always best to call in first and see if something can be worked out. I'd have just eaten the renewal fee as a personal mistake and kept an eye out for a 12 month renewal deal over the next three months, which would seem likely since we haven't seen anything since that BF deal last year.

Seriously. Doing a chargeback means someone either needs to research the charge and convince the card company that the charge was legit, or the company eats a fee (like $40). With a company like Sony I'm sure it's easier to eat the fee and ban the account. Can't say I blame them. They were even giving the guy an out and he was annoyed.

Yeah, you're better off just taking the hit. Anytime a charge gets disputed, they ban the account.

About to get my first platinum with Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy. Just the ending to go still. Fun game, but I have to say it hasn't aged well; the camera and controls are pretty bad. The entirety of the difficulty of the game comes from those two things. Hoping 2 and 3 (when I get to them) are better in that respect.
Somehow the series manages to only get worse. They don't fix those two issues from the first game. On top of those, they throw in
shitty vehicles. You get guns, but there's no type of aiming scheme built in. You can drive your vehicle into a wall 500 times at full speed before it will explode, but just slightly brushing another vehicle is an instant explosion. The checkpoints are absolutely non existent. In most areas, you get some health at the beginning, if that makes sense, and then nothing the rest of the area. Then if you die at the very end, you have to start all over.

Jak 2 and 3 are both harder and more annoying than all the Souls games, combined.

Played a bit of Jak and Daxter and that game is still a lot of fun to play. It's a shame that the open world nature of the game with no loading screens didn't become a common thing for the genre, as that was really impressive for that time.

Ad-hoc trophies are the worst. I know I'll probably never plat Conception 2 because of a stupid ad-hoc trophy.
There's an adhoc trophy in Dynasty Warriors vita that will forever piss me off. There are like 4 extremely hard missions you need to complete. I managed to do one or two of them solo (near impossible perfect runs, you're on a ridiculous time limit meant for 2-4 people). The other two/three are straight up impossible solo. I did everything else in the game, but the plat is actually made of unobtanium, since not only would i need an ad-hoc partner, i'd need a very skilled one.

So...my Sony account got banned because I did a charge dispute when it auto renewed me the $15 charge for 3 months.

Charge backs cost companies a small fortune in fees. They're responsible for the original charge (in your case, $15) plus usually anywhere from $5-$25 service charge on top of that. In case of physical goods, they're also out that. You charged back a legitimate charge rather than calling them to try to deal with it. It's no wonder they ban for that. A medium sized online company is usually losing tens of thousands of dollars to chargebacks -- usually somewhere in the vicinity of 1-3% of sales - I can't even imagine the amount Sony loses to them.

TLDR - Ban deserved, unfortunately. Getting unbanned for only your original $15 is them being kind and waiving the service fee they're being charged on top.

Not sure about:

Tomb Raider Guardian of Light, I'm not sure if I'd be into that game, I might check out a demo first if possible.

Spec Ops On the Line, Heard good things about the story, but it sort of looks like just another war game.

Mini Ninjas: I don't know... is this actually good?

Mark of Kri: No idea what this one is.
All of these are great games in their own right.

Tomb Raider -- perfect coop game. Levels have lots of challenges, and some really intricate puzzle tombs that are actually fun to solve. It plays different than all other Tomb Raiders, more of a dual stick shooter, sort of. Highly recommended.

Spec Ops- the smartest, most-self aware FPS that will ever be made. Worth it.

Mini Ninjas -- thought it would be crap, played the demo and bought it. It's simple but quite fun.

Mark of Kri -- visually shows its age but gameplay holds up. Fun game.

Guacamelee and Spelunky are so much fun. And now Muramasa Rebirth is something I cant stop playing. Spelunky and Muramasa are hard to but its just so much fun to play.

Again though Muramasa just hits all the right chords with me. The art style just pops off the Vita screen and is fun to do the combat. So worth the $7.5

And my god all three of the games look fucking amazing on the OLED Vita

I had to like everyone that mentioned Spec Ops. Still working on FUBAR, I'm at Adams...

I just love listening to the 'bad guy' ambient chatter also.

about borrowing cigarettes and times of peace, so awesome. It beats the weirdo chatter from batman/thief anyday.

and wow I love those marine life black light wall drawings. The shark and squid and turtle with a city on its back, so great.

spoilers. der. well it is when you meet the radio man.

How are the Red Faction games, Guerrilla and Armageddon?  I've heard Guerrilla was the better of the 2, but does it hold up well?  It's already several years old.

Guerrilla's really good with the sandbox physics shooter stuff it did really well. Armageddon backtracked on that by becoming a corridor shooter with some of that same destructibility that's more detrimental than helpful since you can easily screw yourself over.

It's a shame that Volition no longer has access to the franchise anymore.

I loved the songs they picked out for some of the firefights.

Yeah, but it was your fault. Sometimes you just gotta eat that humble pie up.

I'm usually on top of turning off autorenewals, but I forgot to do it with Music Unlimited when they offered that year for $12. They charged me $10 for another month but it was my own fault so I took it like a champ... by which I mean I came in here and grumbled about it in a post or two before crying myself to sleep over my loss.

Thanks, if anyone else has any other opinions please post them.  The games are perpetually $5 at Gamestop so I'm definitely not getting the digital version of Armageddon, but this sale reminded me that those games exist and I've always been interested in them.

The other game I just can't seem to cross of my Buy list is Army Corps of Hell.  How is that game, has anyone actually played it?

Suggesting that $9.99 Call of Duty games are more reasonable than $14.99 in the Steam thread causes people that type exclusive in pink font to get mad at me.

Speaking of annoyances, the weekly ad threads are written up in the most annoying way possible with ALL CAPS and stupid stories attached to it.

Guerrilla has the best destruction system of any game I've ever played. Totally worth playing just for the ability to dismantle a building piece by piece and watch it tumble.

You clearly don't go there often if you think she was actually mad.

Guerrilla is fun and definitely worth a spin the next time it is on sale if it is in the same price range, though like most open world games I got to around the 80% mark and then lost interest. Most buildings are destructible and use "real" physics so if you tear away or set det charges on the structural supports it will cause it to tumble in a semi-realistic way, which is incredibly satisfying. Also satisfying is tearing your way through a building any way you please with a sledge hammer.

edit:

Did I mention you can use the hammer on people?

Yeah the Steam thread and the GGT thread are both pretty terrible. If us here in the PSN thread have the maturity and intelligence of high school students, the Steam thread residents are hovering around a 5th grade level.

Wow I just opened up the last page of that thread and I think I lost about 10 IQ points.

But dem dealz doe.

Not to be a pedant, but Spec Ops isn't an FPS. Points about it still stand, though. Worth every penny.

I don't blame you, Maine sucks. I'm glad I don't have to go there now for a stupid trophy.
I spent a few days in Portland last October. Man, that place is on another level. PBR flows from the faucets. It's exactly why I laugh when people think I'm a hipster. Wish I had hit you up so we could've done some "ad-hocking", big guy.

After looking at those other threads, I will stop getting mad at all the lesser stupidity that goes on in this thread.

Except for Frisky. I will choose to be mad at him.  #refusestochartprobabiltyofeachgamebecomingfreeforPS+basedontimeintheOP

Also, apparently it's hard to type hashtags without hitting the space bar between words.

RF Guerrilla was one one of the best games of the gen, a total surprise.   It's got it's faults, but the game is just pure fun.  Especially the demolition puzzles.

RF Armageddon was one of the biggest disappointments of the gen, completely removing everything fun in the first one in exchange for what amounts to mostly a corridor shooter.   On its own it might have been good, but I couldn't even finish it through the disappointment of what it was not.

Hmmm...I'm gonna grab a cheap copy of RF:Guerrilla and pass on Armageddon based on your guy's recommendations.

Also have to pass on Tales of Symphonia.  I just don't see myself playing it despite the fact I love HD remakes.

Also passing on Chrono Cross, Armored Core, and Vagrant Story for the same reason, I'll probably never play them. Passing on Elevator Action because the demo was quite dull.  Definitely getting Hot Shots, Balance of the Force Tables, and MGS Vita.  Still debating Chrono Trigger (DS version is on Amazon but hasn't sold yet), Army Corps, and Mini Ninjas.

I'm hitting the wall on my 64 gig and no longer want to delete anything.   I still have to find a way to get Muramas and MGS on it too.    I want to buy Army Corps of Hell... but... and I have no idea how I'm going to deal with all the new releases coming this year.

At least we got the bubble limit increased, and that's great.   It was absolute torture before.

Now all I want is a firmware update that lets me keep bubbles/icons for games on my system while deleting the data for the game.    Basically, making the bubble a 'download' link -- put a little red x or other indicator to show that it's not actually on the system.   I know they'll likely never do that because it would significantly reduce the need for larger mem cards... but damn would it make me happy.

Does anyone here have a spreadsheet they keep of all their vita games?  I really need to start tracking what I own that's not on my card, but the idea of starting from scratch is offputting, to say the least.

As a digital hoarder who has hundreds of games downloaded across my PS3/Vita/3DS and ever even started two or three of them I have to say that I think you have a problem.

Not that I'm one to talk when I keep buying games and haven't even downloaded any of them to a system in several months. They're all full of unplayed games that I'll get to one day...

I know that Chrono Cross and Vagrant Story are somewhat dated from a graphics perspective, but they really are wonderful games if you give them a chance. There were just so many things I loved about both games that I elaborated on in an earlier post and I doubt they will see a cheaper price anytime in the near future.

Since I assume you have a PS Vita, Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together for PSP is a fantastic value for $9.99 if you have ever played and enjoyed Final Fantasy Tactics. Jeremy Parish of US Gamer chose it as his desert island game in this article:
