You probably should support Monster Monpiece. Transistor is critically acclaimed and should sell well. Monster Monpiece is very niche, the first game from Idea Factory International, and likely each sale there translates a lot more to saying hey we want more niche games than Transistor. My humble opinion of course.

i'm trying not to, even though i want to. keep telling myself to save it for sword art, or big sale, whichever comes first. also tempted to buy the mega pack for no heroes allowed. stuck on 6-8 atm, and burning through the upgrade points so fast.

Like that's difficult--he just has to start 3-4 new games without getting any trophies or making any progress in them, then update his profile.

I give him a week (two weeks at most) to get it back under 20%.

cant belive someone is playing no more heroes without the megapack. I was doing FREE TO PLAY but was so hooked that i had to buy the megapack. are you stuck on light world or dark world on 6-8. I though light world was sort of easy up to level 8

dark world is a major pain in the ass. only got up to 4-4 before giving up and going to something else.

Monster monopiece has to be one if not the best game i played on the vita this year. Hated paying 30 bucks for a digital download BUT i love the game and would love to see more Maps added as DLC

I think im done BUYING any vita download games unless

B the 64 gb memory card is released in the usa under 60 (got a 32 gb card right now that is 100% filled

yeah, it's light world. like i said above, i only tried a few times. try not to waste too many picks on levels i'm not beating easily. i would have bought it by now. i had about 70 in credit, bought soul sac delta, and was gonna save the rest for monpiece, but then changed my mind to wait for sword art online. probably gonna break down and buy everything though. cause vita makes my knees weak

if you really liked monpiece, then it should be pretty good. considering other games you didn't like very much that i thought were good, lol.

i broke down and bought the 64gb a couple months ago, and it was down to 2gb free last week. sold my 32gb for $60, so it was only 40 and some change out of pocket(technically gamestop cred used on kindle cards).

also, i liked a slidecage post, jay and tyler are probably rolling in their graves right now. requiescat in pace

Well, it would more be like spoiling the villain that was revealed post-credits in the Avengers. You can't assume what is a typical day of news viewing to you is a typical day to everyone else. I frequent video game and TV news sites, but I hadn't seen anything about that Future Past post-credits reveal until it was mentioned above. Some people don't even follow it to that extent, when I was younger the first time I heard about a certain movie coming out is when I would see a teaser trailer for it before a film in the theater or before a VHS tape I had rented.

Can someone explain to me the universal love for Borderlands 2 and all the hate for Rage? I've put about 10 hours into each of them and they feel like the exact same game.

You can't play Rage co-op.

I've actually never played Rage, but I do love Borderlands. I do plan on playing Rage and expect it to be at least decent, if not very good. I get the impression Rage was just not the game people wanted when it came out. I also hear that the ending is pretty disappointing, but I doubt that would ever ruin a game for me.

Rage is a old school corridor shooter with teases of open world and racing. Crappy story and just feels like a tech demo. Ending is the worst ever, too. Enemies are bullet sponges and its pretty meh. Plus it didnt sell at all.

Blands 2 is a fps-rpg, funny, good characters and coop and of course all the cool guns u can get.

Rage was an amazing tech demo. It was a crazy smooth FPS, especially on the PS3 and it really made me look forward to id Software's next game in 10 years. As far as the game goes though, it falls short, the driving is and getting attacked is a chore. They advertised that one big boss fight non stop, so I felt that the game was going to have more than a few major encounters. There is no auto save right? (it's been awhile) When you leave an area to say...replenish ammo, the entire area is reset and all the enemies respawn. There are only 3 total towns and one of them is the tutorial town. It had a lot of promise, but it really seemed like a lot of the promotions were leaning towards RAGE being a Fallout 3 type of experience and it didn't deliver.

I'd also like to say, that Rage didn't have to be Fallout 3 to be good, but that seemed to be the general consensus about it whether it was the marketing team, Bethesda or just gamers in general...that's what more people seemed to expect. So some disappointment may stem from there.

there must be something wrong with rage since most people didn't like it nearly as much as borderlands. I didn't even play co op borderland and I also felt it was better than rage. Rage just missed "something"

I still regret when I was at like 8% now just starting all my PS3/Vita games all at once and seeing how low I went.

I think it's more the long delays, the developer's pedigree, and the hype that Rage would be a game changer for FPS from some of the guys that made the genre huge back in the day.

One criticism I've seen repeatedly is that the actual mechanics of the guns were really bad. Specifically that the shooting felt exactly the same for every gun and that hit placement is meaningless (headshots do the same damage as anything else).

It's had 2 free weekends but the timing hasn't worked out for me to get it yet. I'll probably grab it at some point, hoping for $2.50 eventually.

Good to know. I never got around to playing my copy of Rage (I think it was one of the last games on got from Goozex) and it is the only PS3 game I have disc anymore. I will have to give it a try when I pick up a PS3 again.

Yeah I remember thinking the weapons were off in Rage. They lacked oomph. And every gun felt the same.

 
I'm a bit disappointed that some people are gone from being banned.  But the thread is back to relevancy, and games are being discussed again.  I guess the MODs do know what they are doing.  Still.  I'm sure Jay and Tyler have served their time, and they should be given a reprieve and brought back by now.

I thought Rage was worth the $10 I paid for it but I wasn't expecting much since I knew nothing about it and don't play FPS.

The story was a let down (do these type of games even have a story?) for me.

Also, you now can shock yourself back to life and everybody will ask you to run errands and you can enter car races despite trying to actively overthrow the government.  Also, zombies.

It's a totally free service that Frisky provides as a courtesy for the life of your CAG membership. Technically you would only be renting those messages though because your CAG membership ends when you get banned.

Alright, so I had no problems signing up for the 14-day trial, and had an easy enough time grabbing all the free PS+ stuff (thanks for the helpful OP Frisky) except for:

Resogun (Apparently you need to have a PS4 registered to get it?)

I wasn't expecting much from rage either since I knew what people said about it by the time I bought it at best buy during one of those I think it was $5 deals. borderlands is only like rgae in that you can shoot things with guns. But yes its better.

Did you go through the website and not a console? I got all my PS4/Vita stuff through the website when I didn't own the consoles yet. It will let you "purchase" them that way.
