Mass Effect DLC doesn't come on sale often so its a risk not to pick it up if you think you will want to play it on current gen. Since I'm all the way through a couple of Mass Effect 2 playthroughs I don't think I would personally consider starting over with a next gen version of it anyway.

I liked the story of it, Liara being in it, the boss fight and the overall fun/gameplay of it.

Part of the reason I was such a 360 gamer last gen was due to the controller. It just works on a level that the DS3 couldn't. Now the DS4 is a lot better and I like it more than the 360. I have a number of PS3 games to play so I picked up a BF4 branded PS3 controller that mimics the design of the 360 (not the offset sticks though) and it works just fine.

I just wish that Sony had thrown the PC side a bone and made sure the drivers were out there for native support. It works through a intermediary like x360ce, but it's otherwise a pain in the ass.

 
Well, so much for sleep.  Some douche sent me a "like new" copy of War for Cybertron with a chip on it and now I'm a little pissed.  The guy has a 100% positive feedback of 391, but my dumbass forgot to look at his seller rating which is a whopping 0.  fuck.

That PS4+Vita bundle, is that an official thing or just a deal Best Buy is doing? If I can get that in a few months I'll probably do that and sell my OLED Vita.

Sounds awesome, I've seen NIN a lot of times most memorable probably being on the floor at the Meadowlands getting chairs thrown at my head as March of The Pigs started. The older folk there just for Bowie (which I like as well) ran for cover. It was nuts. We were literally handing chairs to security to get them out of the way. I've seen Soundgarden a few times as well but seeing Cornell solo acoustic may have trumped those shows.

 
Atelier Escha & Logy is one i'm looking for about 20 dollars for a physical copy. I'm very behind on these games and wont start playing them again till I get Rorona Plus (I got up to Ayesha and the plus versions of Totori/Meruru).

This mirrors my thoughts almost exactly. I just didn't like GTA5 as much as you did, apparently (it was good, just not great). Watchdogs hacking does feel gimmicky, but only because I expect it to become over-used and nonsensical. I'm several hours in and it's still fun and unique enough. I can see where a sequel will have a hard time dealing with the hacking aspect unless they can figure out a way to evolve it. The invasion stuff is pretty great. It basically works like a really great side mission and doesn't overdo the multiplayer aspect. Anyone who doesn't play with the online component turned on is doing this game a disservice. I haven't messed with too much of the other multiplayer modes, but they seem to have some potential.

I'm super torn over this. On the one hand PS4 is way more convenient and even more so with remote play. On the other hand I have the trilogy on PS3 and only paid $20 for it when GoHastings had it for that about a year ago. So I can pay $60 for remote play and the DLC (better have the DLC included), or have paid less than $40 for the whole thing.

When I put it that way the PS4 version is potentially a lot more tempting as long as it comes with all the DLC even if it's $60. GCU guarantees that it's $48 at most on day one after all. It would just suck to pass on the DLC and then the next gen release not actually happen since the DLC never goes on sale.

I mark Gamefly games as "very good" on eBay. Considering everything else is brand new aside from the disk, I figure that covers any minor damage to the disk.

I get so tired of ordering games from Amazon or eBay in "like new" condition, when they look like they've been drug down the highway. The excuse is usually "well the disk is like new". Never mind it looks like someone used the cover art to wipe their rear. The description of like new at both places says "an item that looks like it has just had the shrink wrap removed" (paraphrasing of course). This is a huge pet peeve of mine, and happens way too often.

I dont understand how anyone can HATE GTA 3 or 4 and yet love GTA 5. I get it, the stories are different, but the games are really very much the same gameplay wise. I know this isnt just you that has this type of opinion, so I am not just picking on you, but everyone that says this in general. Not liking 3 or 4 and thinking 5 is okay is one thing, but HATING prior games and LOVING the last one just seems off to me.

Of course I am a GTA mark like I have said before so it may just be my rose colored glasses talking since I have loved every GTA game released on consoles. Even 1 and 2 with the old top down perspective.

I never got into GTA either. I think it was 3 that got hyped up to me so much by the time I actually played it I was like you can't really do anything like everyone says so on and so forth. Maybe someday I give another one a go. Maybe 5 if it comes to PS4 or if those PSP remakes come to vita.

The walking/running mechanics in GTA 4 annoyed me to no end. Other than that, great game. I enjoyed Ballad of Gay Tony more than GTA 4 itself though.

That's the thing, I'm not really fond of the gameplay. Huge world sure, but I dont ever really want to do anything in it whereas in Watch Dogs I'm losing an hour or two doind random crime events, hacking other players, defending myself from hacks, opening up new parts of the city via taking over cTOS centers, etc etc. Like I said, 5's story is what sold me. I didnt care for 3 or 4's characters or plots, but I fell in love with the shifting perspectives and well acted personalities in 5.

Funny enough, I actually really enjoyed GTA 1 and 2 in my youth and would waste hours in those sandboxes doing random shit in those, never actually doing missions, but they lost something for me in the transistion to 3D.

I won something! Finally!

Also, just beat Muramasa Rebirth. What a crap ending the game has.

I'm not sure if the story is different depending on the character you choose, but I beat it with the chick. Man, what a shitty, lackluster ending. There's not really even an end boss--you just beat up 4 parts of a statue, with each part being guarded by a magical shield. To kill the shield you beat two respawning sissy enemies that respawn between each body part. Oh, and there's occasional rocks falling that you have to dodge that can hit you for ~1000 hp (I had 3000 HP at the end at level 38 or so.) That was cheap.

Took about six hours. There's two playable characters, but I only used one, and there's a number of additional challenges and exploration possibilities. I just didn't enjoy it enough to bother, though.

 
I don't understand the appeal of open world games in general. Yeah I mean sure if I was 16 and had 40+ hours to kill sure I'd be like this shit is awesome but nowadays I'm like

Would anyone recommend snagging the ME trilogy right now for $15 if I'm not going to play it any time soon.  Plus and Gold have created a huge backlog for me, and I'm lucky if I complete a game every 2 or 3 months.  I'm leaning towards no, but $5 per game is hard to pass up.

Yeah that game was weird. I actually did both because the stories do run into one another and I'm pretty sure there was a bigger end-boss but the whole thing was pretty forgettable for me. I enjoyed the game some but not something I'd run to play again.

I dont waste hours upon hours in GTA either. I havent played any GTA online. I play each GTA to see the story and upgrade whatever I can along the way. Then I might explore a bit for some collectables and thats it. Just seeing all the different easter eggs they hide in these game and seeing all the landscapes is fun to me. And I try all the mini games and side missions at least once. More fore the fun games like parachuting and flying through hoops etc.
