Cool. I actually may get a Vita then with PS4 if they come out with a good bundle. Hopefully they announce something at E3. My birthday is in August so I know what to tell the family if they ask me what I want. I normally don't ask for anything.

Same here, but had most of what I wanted anyway.

I do want South Park but it's sale price wasn't that low. (it's been $40 on Amazon and I expect to see 30 and less by the end of summer)

 
Here's something I never thought I'd say:

I started GTAV today, tried a little of the single player, and a little bit of the online. I have to admit that this might be Rockstar's first good game. I'm far too early to say that for definite, but it looks promising. The driving is so fluid, the combat works well, and the online system is crazy and unlike anything I've ever seen. It's like they took every small, tiny bright spot from their shitty games of the past and combined them into one to make their first well put together game.

 
Also, part of me is wondering if The Last Guardian was delayed so long for the sole intention of releasing it on PS4, so that way when it's complete shit like the other Team Ico games, people can say "Well that's because it was originally a PS3 game!" Just like the excuse when people try to slam Ico and it gets defended because "It was originally supposed to be a PS1 game!"

Actually, I forgot about Max Payne 3, that game was pretty sweet too.

GTA V's storyline / campaign is fantastic. Their meta game stuff like the stunt jumps are a probably the worst they have been in the entire series.You have to be so precise and basically land on all four wheels (or two for motorcycle) that it really makes you wonder what happened to that aspect of the game. Regardless, I still am a huge fan of GTA V.

Well thats surprising to hear. All their games have been horrible imo. Maybe it would have the same effect on me if I tried GTA V. Although I think Ive given them enough chances that I will stay away from Rockstar for life. All their games feel the same.

GTAV's online is terribly broken. So much wasted potential. Spend enough time with it and you'll begin to understand. I enjoyed the campaign, though.

GTA V's mission "diversity" being applauded disgusted me. That and it spent so much of its time feeling like it was wasting mine with trivail bullshit, I sold it.

I enjoyed the game for the most part, but I agree with this. In no way is using a tow truck to retrieve cars a fun thing to do. the first time it happened, I thought it would turn into some crazy shootout or chase. By the 5th time, i was just sick of it.
 
Figures I would like the one Rockstar game everyone else apparently hates. I'm sure I'll hate it by the end though. I usually hate every game I play at some point.

I've only played up to the point where I get to Franks house. Like I said, I didn't play a lot of it yet. But that first mission with him where you red Irving all around town just shows the driving has been improved by leaps and bounds over GTA IV. And also, Niko was one of the worst characters in video game history, so anything is an upgrade over that.

I enjoyed those parts equally. I felt like I was really living their lives, which can't always be shootouts and chases at every turn. Taking time to prepare, to clean up after my own mess by going through those seemingly mundane routines made the actual action portions that much more enjoyable, and believable (to some extent).

I don't feel like tyler or jay were unjustly banned. Sometimes I don't like that it has to come to that but I fully understand the necessity behind the policing. The two of them crossed that line and now it is what it is. I'm not sure how much of this you're directing at me or at the thread in general, but I understand what happened, why it happened and have no qualms over it. I think most people here also understand this and I don't think that anyone really feels that he was "unfairly targeted". Definitely people were annoyed over it but I think that it's fairly obvious to the majority this wasn't a mod on a power trip or anything like that. There's a lot of tongue-in-cheek talk here... maybe you took comments directed at this more seriously than authors intended?

We'll just have to agree to disagree here. I've never said that everyone here is perfect or that a line is never crossed, but I don't think you're going to build a utopia here. And have you checked other threads lately? Are you holding us to a higher standard or something because I think you're going to find a lot of the same spread out over the site in general. Nothing wrong for appreciating those that make the effort, but this is the world we live in.

And the GAF thing... what you posted was obviously related to CAG and, seeing how this is the internet and all, if you wanted to keep it private you should have made it a private message with others. I know you didn't intend for us to see it, but I don't think it was anything that was a private matter or a big shock to anyone so I see that as more of a grey area. His intentions were questionable, I'll give you that, but there was quite a bit of on-and-off argument between you and others in the thread at the time also so I chalk that up as a casualty of war. In other words, if you hadn't been in the middle of some shit over here it never would have been fished out.

Here's another I think we'll just have to agree to disagree on. No one here gives anyone shit about liking indies or Dark Souls other than joking around. And no one cares if someone doesn't like PS+, but the problem there is that most people that come in here like that are just looking for trouble and start talking shit. That isn't a "oh, he doesn't like PS+" issue; that's a "this guy's a huge asshole" issue. And the trophy arguments I've seen are almost always one-sided, with trophy-enthusiasts more on the "persecuted" side for playing a game just for trophies and having to retaliate to being attacked. I don't think Eldritch, or anyone for that matter, thinks anyone is that serious when they get jabs about their completion percentage (at least not that I've seen in this thread).

From where I stand, it appears you take the smack in here a little too seriously.

Well I am definitely in the camp of hating GTA IV. I tried playing that game about a half dozen time thinking I just did not "get it" but I finally had to just let it go a realize I did not like it at all.

ALL of you have terrible taste in games. Seriously. GTA console games from 3 on have always been some of the most highly rated games. GTA 4 and 5 are still among the most highly rated games ever.

I really liked GTA 4. Not love, but GTA Vice City was near nirvana when it came out.
