Damn it all! I was so excited to download the Destiny alpha that I didn't consider to move my ps4 so I could use the Ethernet cord. Somehow I was thinking downloading was the same as installing.Anyhow, anyone here have impressions of it?

Just played Destiny for like 2 hours, so far it felt ing amazing. Like the sexy lovechild of Halo and Borderlands.

So far I can't really find a single complaint, it already feels like my GOTY. The PVP feels like a reskinned Halo basically (With lots of skills getting thrown around), and the maps/locations are awesome. And even though you can use your skills and weapons in there, it still felt balanced (Like the fact that Special/Heavy Weapons ammo scarcely dropped and would quickly get rushed, and most skills have a long recharge).

And the PvE system felt amazing. The whole drop in/out with random players worked really well, and it was quite awesome seeing like 12 people in the same area working together (Especially when events happened, and things like giant tanks dropped in). Loot didn't feel like it was thrown at me like in Borderlands or Mass Effect, so everything felt valuable. And the weapon variety was pretty nice, so far I have found regular full-auto guns, semi auto ones, pulse rifles (they fired in bursts), sniper rifles, shotguns, and a rocket launcher.

Just want to chime in and say that I appreciate your comments about Luftrausers. I'm a huge fan of older arcade games, and this one reminds me of Time Pilot and Sopwith (old MSDOS game). Will be picking this up, as well as Nuclear Throne when it comes out. I've been on the fence about Luftrausers due to the graphics, but love this style of game.

Time Pilot is in my top 5 arcade games of all time. Robotron 2084 being #1.

That said, if you enjoy Time Pilot get the mini MiniSquadron. I wish it would get the 'vita upgrade' treatment some other good minis got. Plays similarly, tons of planes. Biggest negative is it's a mini.

So, basically Destiny is Halo+Blands with MMO features in it. Its a persistant world, you can go solo or meet strangers and group up with them. The graphics for an alpha, look really good but the weapons don't look that detailed yet. The scenery looks great, the enemies are just like from Halo. Gameplay is exactly like Borderlands, controls are a lil slow but you get used to it. I think its gonna be a real good game when its out in September and its kinda addicting. I give it a 8.5/10 so far.

As of today I'm on the train. Thanks to this thread I've already got all the free PS4 games, plus the Destiny alpha to download. And I also made my first ever sale on eBay with the extra codes I had from Sony's E3 Experience.

The only thing dampening this parade is the fact that I'm too cheap to have faster Internet access, and that I couldn't use my Target credit on a second DualShock 4 since they claimed to be out of stock.

Battleships arent that hard after you play a while and figure out the strategy to kill them. Mine was to swoop in low kind of stall so they focus on that spot, then when they shoot move over a bit and shoot the hell out of it, then repeat. The problem with the blimp is that I have only seen one so far. I am not sure how to get it to appear other than maybe not dying for a long time.

Nukes guys. Don't make it harder on yourself than it needs to be.

For the blimps light it up with a few shots before you hit it with the nuke.

Yep. You cant miss them. Biggest ship that has appears in the water. Once you get further levels by just playing you get better and different parts which help. I like the laser and heavier armor so far.

I don't know, but Halo 4 allowed you to switch to CoD style controls, as well as other options. Hopefully they give you choices. Yes, I realize that Halo 4 was not made by Bungie.

I played some more Heavy Rain last night and I have to say I'm liking more than I thought I would. The only real problem I see so far is how you get hung up sometimes doing the same thing a few times in a row. Kind of breaks the immersion. I have to say though it feels a bit more like watching a game than playing it.

I also finished up The Walking Dead Season 2 Episode 3...trouble abound.

I also started up Tearaway...feels like they out Nintendo'd Nintendo on this one. Really unique and fun so far. Makes me wish there were more full on built from the ground up games for the Vita.

So, you can aim with L2, right? That's usually my biggest gripe when playing Halo and I constantly waste grenades when I press LT to aim.

And I didn't know Halo 4 let you switch to CoD style controls. That's cool.
