Welp, if the flash sale isn't happening this weekend, I'll probably push half of my PSN wallet towards the remastered Bioshock collection. Any opinions on it?

I remember back at CES either last year or this year having a Sony rep explain it to me and when I asked about the cost effectiveness vs cable or sat, they honestly had nothing to say other than they liked Vue. Also, considering they are making me pay for local channels I get with my OTA for free, is another no no in my book. I don't think Sony is really aggressive about Vue yet and right now, it's more like a luxury than a serious threat. When they get the price of core down to $25-$30, then it becomes friendly for cord cutters.

It'd be nice if it didn't run like a warmed over dog turd on the Playstation 3. I honestly liked the service but the guide is obscenely slow and buggy, and it's the only way I found to switch channels.

Seems like a poor use personally when it's a sure candidate for future PSN sales and likely BF fodder. But that's my opinion.

My IP routinely thinks I'm several states away and it didn't work at first. Called them and five minutes later they'd set my zip code and I never had another problem. Even when I was changed providers and redoing my network and accessing it from them simultaneously.
 
why buy it for any more than 20? it'll get there eventually

granted I wait for everything to get cheap but something that is remastered def should be on the wait list

It annoyed me the other day when I realized that PS4's crappy app selection is probably in direct relation to pushing Vue. No watch ESPN app or things Xbox has.

As much as i myself really wanna buy it myself i just cant justify 60 bucks on remasters especially with the barrage of games coming out in the upcoming months. I would say wait for a sale on it at 40 or lower physical or digital before you pick it up but thats just me.

I doubt that since you can use your PSN login for all of those channel/network-specific apps to watch that stuff outside of PS Vue like you can with cable providers.

 
Today's only the 16th, was thinking a flash sale might be this weekend for some reason. Good because my wallet isn't ready for one if it was good this week.

WatchESPN I'm pretty sure has an exclusive deal with XB. Otherwise I haven't noticed anything prominent one has over the other.

Haven't touched Gauntlet yet but I have played a little Helldivers. I picked up Alienation with this sale and have been pleasantly surprised at how much I am enjoying it. I know earlier in the week a bunch of CAGs had nothing but high praise for it as well. My vote would be to bite on it... especially seeing as that is exactly what I did : P

 
Decided to bite on mortal kombat xl. I really wanted a fighting game to play and while I would prefer street fighter V, I have a feeling a super version is going to be released eventually.

So I just got around to trying out the Remote Play on PC. It works surprisingly well, not quite precise enough for Super Meat Boy, but I was playing Dragon Quest Heroes with no problems.

I think it is. Grabbed it the other day and it's managed to pull me away from Witcher 3 GOTY. Somebody here described it as a top-down shooter mixed with Diablo 3 which is fairly accurate but the loot system reminds me more of Transformers Devastation which is not a bad thing. Probably be free for Plus at some point but I say it's worth the 12 bucks if you plan to play it immediately.

Surprised Pavilion isn't on that list. Came out for Sheild TV last week and has been slated for PC, PS4 and Vita. Figured they'd all come out around the same time. Very cool 2D puzzle game with fantastic art. Bought it on my Shield.

FYI, not sure if this has been mentioned, but $39.99 Destiny Collection Upgrade is a nice way to go all digital if you are still using a disc version.  The upgrade is supposed to be only for PS3 owners, but works for PS4 owners of Taken King DLC.  I had the launch PS4 vanilla disc and then all the DLC and it let me do this upgrade to go completely digital (including Rise of Iron).  I had been looking for a decent price on a vanilla Destiny code for awhile, but they are impossible to find and I didn't want to spend full price just to go all digital.  $10 extra seemed reasonable enough to avoid swapping discs.

 
Not sure if this is the place to ask but I will anyway.

Can anyone help me find the title of a game I played in one of those PS4 demos at target a couple years ago?

It was one of those mining games and you had a little mahine that you needed to keep fueled as you dug. It had a sort of helicopter ability that you could use to fly out of the holes you dig.

It's not much to go on I know but I hoped someone would recognize it. That was one of my first introductions to the PS4 and I have wanted to go back and look at that game again. I havent found that demo on the floor machines in stores since.
 
It's definitely Super Motherload. Funnily enough, when I demoed it at Best Buy, I briefly considered getting a PS4 for it, but thankfully it's also available on PS3. Great game.

I will look i up and keep an eye on it for sales. I'm a sucker for those dig games for some reason. (Though I didnt care for steamworld)
 
Suh havent been here in a while. From what i have seen the only way to get ps+ on sale right now is from some canadian sites or that saug site? Can someone fill me in if there are any other deals right now even if the deal isnt that great? Would be much appreciated.

Also the $60 hike goes live this tues right?
 
I've really enjoyed both Journey and what I've played of Lords of the Fallen. I guess it certainly helps that they were free.

Still thinking about getting Mortal Kombat XL.
 
The price increase will match Xbox live and you still see Xbox live deals in the $30s. So when you need to renew keep your eyes peeled. This jumping on deals is a bit rushed and silly. Plus Black Friday is right around the corner.
 
Normal ps+ deals even around bf dont usually go below $45 and it was super rare to see $40 so it may be best to buy at $50 to at least guarantee at least $10 off. I only saw $35 once at ps4 launch from amazon and a couple of places. Should have just bought like 10 yrs worth then
 
Alright, so I'm probably going to pull the trigger on Alpha 3 MAX since it seems better than the PSOne Alpha 3 in every way.

Is it worth owning Alpha 1 & 2 for $1.20 each? I don't think they perform well as their arcade versions but it seems like they're the only versions available on PSN/the only portable versions. It's also hard to argue with an 80% discount.

PS+ has never had regular sales though and really only would go on sale consistently around the holidays. XBL has always had frequent and deep sales. I wouldn't really expect Sony to suddenly start running sales all over the place now that they're trying to milk it for more profit.
