Vesperia is still my favorite as well. Berseria is probably second since it's the only other Tales game I've actually finished. I own Legendia but I don't recall getting very far into it for whatever reason. I got to almost the last battle in Zestiria before I stopped for another game I assume. Can't remember that for sure either...lol. I did enjoy Zestiria for the most part though outside the equipment system.

So right. Both Symphonia games, Graces F, and the first Xillia have been in my download list for over a year. My OCDness will probably force me to buy the second Xillia game while it's on sale though.

It got a PS3 version with more content, but was Japan only.

the encounter rate wasn't very high by random encounter standards unless you glitched it or something or by past entries in the series. You can get across a screen half the time without triggering an encounter if you use a holy bottle. if you want to see a high encounter rate play tod ps1 >.> every three steps or less in caves drove me nuts. One time I got one just from exiting the save point menu x_x Hearts r was pretty obnoxious as well even with sanctosanct bottles in effect.

It'd be nice if they could do what they did with tos and porttov to current gen. Only this time bring the game up to specs as the ps3 version wasn't optimized well due to bamco's usual issues when porting to sony systems. or from them.

first I heard of soul calibur part. I've only ever heard that the tekken team worked out it and from and outside perspective they did a decent job capturing the tales of feels on a budget. If it had half the stuff that was in destiny r people would of lauded it as the best game in the series though.

They didn't really make any huge announcements in Japan last week. They spent most of their time talking about cakes, wines, escape rooms, and other BS like that that doesn't really have much value to most fans. A date for FF12 was the biggest announcement. I'd imagine E3/TGS/Gamecom would be where any game announcements would happen.

 
Is there a valid reason to get the PS4 version of Far Cry 4 if you own the PS3 version already? I'd like to like that game, but the controls are a hot mess. I'd tend to think they'd be more manageable with a touch pad.

My wife recently beat the game and is doing the post-game stuff. It's not a great Tales game, but it's serviceable. It tries some new things that sometimes work, and the plot feels a bit too jumbled.

Personally, Destiny with the combo command is easily my favorite of all the ones I've played and seen. Other than that, Graces F has a great battle system, and Vesperia has my favorite character. The plot to Abyss sounds great, but I couldn't get into it. Thankfully the missus beat that game at least once, so I can hear about the good parts from her, haha.

Bought Tales of Xillia 1, 2, Tales of Graces F, and Tales of Symphonia: A New Dawn. Didn't realize till a day later that the latter was part of a "Chronicles" already released as a HD remaster for Gamecube and PC. Whoops. But I'm pretty happy about the first 3 purchases.

looks like a nice one too. oh my god the deluxe edition is not worth it at all. It is literally all just some extra digital content like weapon and armor skins and the soundtrack for $10. These publishers are trying to squeeze every single penny out of us.

Whatever happened to south park fractured but whole? It was delayed to Q1 but sites are listing it for March and yet I have not heard anything about it.

 
Abyss is the best Tales in my book. If they do a HD, it's instabuy for me. That said, Im currently working my way throught Xillia 2 (at the end, trying to get 20 million gald to carry over), Vesperia (where Im stuck at the thing in that forest in the begining that I cant beat), and Hearts R (I found the brother so annoying. He literally would not heal Shing aka me)

Graces I found kinda boring and kinda hard for me. Probably cause I wasnt use to CC. Xillia was fun. Xillia 2, only earning gald was annoying.
 
What I want to know is will the US version of PuyoPuyo Tetris going to be able to play online with the Japanese version? I have the JP version. I'd prefer to not have to also buy the US version, but I suspect I"ll probably have to.

 
My favorite Tales is still likely Phantasia. I liked Destiny as well, though Destiny 2 was kind of weak. Legendia....ugg. Didn't play Abyss at all (shock!) and Vesperia. I liked Graces F enough but the characters became annoying. Fighting system was good though. Think I stopped there....i'm sure I'll play the newer ones eventually though. Phantasia was special though esp how long the fan translation took to come out. It was so long in coming that even when emulators were able to emulate it was a big deal (showing my age big time!). Just so fun and clean with a decent enough story.

I'm hoping they shed some light on that rumored FF 1-9 collection at E3 or any of those other conferences they have. I don't have a PS3 or a Vita so if that collection were legit, I'd be all in. I haven't played those games in so long.

Graces and Phantasia. Graces is less button mashy, cause you'll run out of CP if you don't actually mix in defense. But if you can, you have a very large CP pool.

 
Frisky, I was faster this time. Button says "tell me more." when clicked on, it indicates that it's free for season pass holders. I'm guessing that you own the season pass?

Just go back to daath the game. abyss is honestly the worst tales game next to zestiria due to all the quallity issues it has. buggy as hell, the story has too many Major plot holes, the gameplay while adding free run and over limit control took away too many other things. The cast is unlikable and they all vent their issues on luke the mc when they are the ones responsible for every bad thing that happened in the game sans natalia who's an afterthought to the cast and the only honest and good person in the group despite the stick up her butt.

whileits worth giving it a go at that price I don't rec it. thegameplays too hands off, the story is definitely aimed at children and I didn't find any thingworth while from playing it. Very typical lv5 game where its not very fun to play and too many weird gameplay decisions. Had studio ghibli actually been more involved and made it the quality level of one of their movies I would have had a better time. Oh andlanturn nose needs to get drop kicked. he's a jackass.

cc and graces cc is kinda awful or terrible due to the low count you get. without grinding shards on equipment and or titles you don't have enough cc to do a 4 arte combo until more than half way through the game. Its a wonderful game at the f arc or on new game plus. But as it is there's just too much grinding involved. Especially titles since even on ng+ its impossible to max the titles efficiently still despite having all multipliers and highest difficulty.

The whole point of cc was its supposed to get rid of tiered artes combos the series had used in every game prior to destiny r. But graces still has tiered artes combos via the forced a artes trees and cc is more limited than tp.

As I said, in 2012, they released as collection but it was a reprint of the PS1, PS2 and PS3 discs all in one set.

Oh boy that Saint Seiya Soldier's Soul is catching my attention. Grew up with the series, and while it might be corny as heck, it looks pretty legit ... oh the backlog :whistle2:k

 
Didnt see it in the OP, but Cartoon Network Punch-time Explosion (or something like that) is only $0.99 on PS3. 

I grabbed it because its...well...$0.99, but more importantly it has Samurai Jack in it! Figured for less than a buck, why not. Perhaps this one slipped through the cracks?!

I believe that collection had to be imported to the states and either way it would be nice to have trophy support for the earlier games even though I already own them all as PSOne Classics lol
 
Oof I turned into a Vocaloid addict, the second I saw the season pass I bought it.

Hearts R was fun and had way better skits than Zestiria. I liked Zestiria a lot but its not a great game. You don't need to play it to enjoy Beseria but it'll be hard to go back to it later if you ever want to find out what happens to some characters.

It's been that price for a few months now along with Falling Skies: The Game for PS3 and Adventure Time: Nameless Kingdom for Vita which are also 99 cents each...or at least they were when I bought them.
 
I've been interested in Watch Dogs for a while. Any reason to believe it'll get any cheaper than this anytime soon?

Ubisoft has been really stubborn with Watch Dogs' pricing, as $12 is the cheapest I can find for regular PSN sales. The PS3 version was maybe at $8 at its lowest, but that's obviously not the ideal version to get. Retail's probably a better way to go for most Ubisoft games in that regard.
