Well, this is slightly......alarming. Ive recently changed the hard drive in my PS3 and have been downloading games back on to it. Back in November, Dirt 3 was free for PS Plus subscribers. I naturally took advantage of it and added it too my game library. But it looks like it has been removed from all digital stores (GOG, Steam, Xbox, and PSN) and can no longer be downloaded. I was looking into it a little bit, and it looks like it was a licensing issues. But if you purchased it in the past on steam, you can still download it, but apparently that doesn't apply to the PlayStation store? Has anyone actually purchased this game (as in not got it free with ps plus) and can you still download it? Im just curious because now im nervous about this happening with other games in the future. Sorry if this is already a well known subject...
Before getting people alarmed, you should ask people to check. It's removed from the store, it's still in your download list and available for download, just like anything else removed from the store. Source: I just checked.

If you want an easy way to find it, use psdle bookmarklet to streamline your download list.

Separate trophies from PS3/Vita version, though all 3 versions can cross save. It includes all the DLC, including the smaller holiday ones. I THINK it has all the skins, but any that need to be unlocked via special means (like the Poker Night ones) I think you'd have to transfer over from a PS3 file.
Hmmm. I think I might pick it up... though I hope coop is still active. I never played the DLC, but I"m not sure if I want to start from scratch or not.

Cross save is interesting... that means if I ever happened to push my ps3 save to the cloud I'd be good to go? I don't have my ps3 hooked up, nor do I have a BL2 disc for my PS3, so I wasn't sure how I"d get my plat save anyway. Hmm.

Ahhh. Ok. Yes. I see it in my download list and it looks like I can download it. My bad. Not sure why I didnt think of that. Probably the forth gin and tonic of the night talking. Thanks for clearing that up for me. Sorry about that. I wasnt trying to alarm anybody. That was actually the meaning of my post, to ask people to try it out them selves so they could clear it up for me. Im going to hide my post so I dont raise anybody elses concerns. Thanks again. :)

Holy cow - Sony is ending PS Now service for non-PC and PS4 devices come August. That means PS3, Vita, Sony TVs and Blu-ray players won't run it. They really wasted the money they spent acquiring Gaikai.

I own every one of those final fantasy single games and collections for ps1. Debating if being able to use a wireless controller is worth 5 bucks per game just on the off chance I may replay them some day. Hmmm. I do tend to sit farther than a controller cord length from the tv

I'm just here to say that Final Fantasy 15 is one of the best games in the series, maybe my favorite. Chapter 13 does suck as bad as everyone makes it out to be, though. But end game content is incredible.

My FF Rankings:

- FF 12

- FF 15 (for now. might move to No. 1)

- FF 7

- FF 3

- FF 9

- FF 2

- FF 10

FF 12 was incredible, and I hear they are making a remake. But forget that noise. I cannot go back to that game. I put way too much work in trying to do stuff like getting the Danjuro, the rarest dagger in the game. Maybe rarest weapon of any FF game.

Yeah, this only makes sense if you have $80-85 worth of shit that you've earmarked for purchase, making the last $15 worth of stuff free when you end up spending $100.
It can be useful even if you spend just $40. If I happen to spend $40 on content that is on sale that I would have bought even without the promotion then that means I could essentially buy a new release or pre-order with $15 off it's price. I basically got $15 rebates for pre-ordering Resident Evil 7 and Uncharted 4 because of content I bought on sale at the time during one of these promotions.

I doubt I'll reach $100 this time. It's unlikely there will be $100 worth of content on sale that I will want, and there aren't any new releases or available pre-orders I'm highly interested in. I'm getting the Persona 5 Take Your Heart Edition, so I can't do with Persona what I did with Resident Evil and Uncharted.

Some act like others go out of their way to spend $100 during these promotions, but we probably weigh several factors into whether the promotion will be worth it. Sometimes the promotion works out great; sometimes it doesn't.

What about that item in FF4 that had a 1/64 chance to drop from an enemy that only had a 1/64 chance of appearing!? More rare than that?

Mmmmm that Dustia leveling glitch loop

I have never heard of this item. But that would be more rare. Never played FF4.
A Pink Tail is a rare drop from a Flan Princess, a rare enemy. Bringing it to a blacksmith gets you the Adamant Armor, the best armor in the game.

As should be obvious, FF4 is my personal favorite FF game.

Just refreshed my memory. In only one room of the FF4 final dungeon, a flan princess has a 1/64 chance of an encounter. That has a 1/64 chance of dropping a pink tail, which is required for the best armor in the game.

Dear God. How does someone get that? Save scumming? Is there a glitch?

Now I want to get the game for the DS ...

I remember getting the Adamant Armor years ago and my best friend did not believe me. Took a long time until I could corroborate it via the internet.

Any one see this? PSN Spend 100 get 15 back for this month. Looks like it is for the 21st to the 28th. Good for some of the awesome games coming out in the next couple of months.

https://www.playstation.com/en-us/legal/spend-100-get-15-terms-and-conditions/
Damn them for setting it for Feb 21st. I just bought World of Final Fantasy on TWO platforms... and and and... I bought a third item as well! I would have been like nearly 3/4 of the way there. Jerks. Probably won't be anything I want next week, certainly not $100 of stuff.

Great deal through Visa checkout on a 4TB external drive for those in the market now that Sony understands how technology works...

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/wd-my-book-4tb-external-usb-3-0-hard-drive-black/5605524.p?skuId=5605524

$84.99
Id be all over getting an external if there was an extra USB port on the back of my PS4 pro, but thats currently being used by my VR. So I guess I'll just have to settle for a new internal 2tb, which will get filled up a lot quicker then it should.

Just curious - did you ever play FF 6 (FF 3 when it was released in the US) or is that what you have as FF 3?

Later versions introduced the Siren/Alert item, which lets you force the Flan Princess encounter. The odds of finding a Pink Tail for each fight are still really low, though (the actual number per flan is more like 1/1280 with five per fight).

On the plus side, the DS version at least has a limited NG+ that lets you carry the armor over, so after you do it once you never need to do it again.

I still haven't decided what I feel about 15. I felt it was surprisingly easy, no need to grind or even get special gear to finish the game in the first try. I think in my entire playthrough I died 3 times. Once stupidly, once fighting Ifrit and once on the final boss because I was low on consumables. I was able to use Umbra and go buy a ton and just slide on past it. Because of that it seemed too easy and/or short so since I bought it digitally I'm sort of stumped what to do with it because I intended it to be a crazy time sink.

I remember it taking me forever to get the pink tail. In the end, I didn't think it was worth it.

Ah. My mistake. I own them, but have not played them.

I was referring to FF 3 for the SNES. That was the first game I played sick so I could stay home and play. The trick was, pretending like you were sick the night before. That way, when you acted like you were sick in the morning it was believable.

I would hook up the SNES in the living room on the big TV, too. Good times.

What I find most appealing about FF15 is the post game content. Super excited to go check out the secret dungeons, bosses. There's some rare stuff to go after and I'm really enjoying the game play. I imagine you could cheese it if you want to by leveling way up through grinding, x2 EXP bonuses.

But that is a good point. FF12 was a challenging game. It was so big and there was so much to do. What I loved most about that game was the way you could customize each player to have a specific role. I loved that. The forums for that game are still active today -- which is incredible for a PS2 FF game.

Now that I think about it, FF12 is still the best in the series.

majority of ff games allow for such customization options. personally I liked 12 for the number of monsters it had as marks. but the mmo stuff was horrible, gameplay required too little player interaction and was too slow and the story dropped for the majority of the game.

Is the PS4 version of FF7 in full screen? I'm not a huge fan of black bars/borders on the side after playing Rogue Galaxy last weekend. Would rather have it in 16:9 or like the PC version where I can play it in 1920x1080 FS.
Bought it and just started playing tonight. Can confirm it's 4:3 with black bars.

They're remastering 12, and adding the international content in.. they are not remaking it.

Other than that, pretty good list.

Which 2 and 3?

The US or the Original?

Because the US 2 (4) and 3 (6) are my top favorite games, while Japanese 2 and 3 are my all time least favorites..

Obviously means IV and VI, because I don't want to believe anyone is brain damaged enough to think anything is worse than FF2.

XV is okay. Not even in my top five.

The US versions.

After some reflection, FF12 will remain No. 1.

I know they are re mastering it, but that sometimes comes with tweaks -- such as nerfing various tricks and glitches. And FF 12 had a few of those, but most of them were to get the ridiculously rare items. I'm guessing they are going fix that and improve some other stuff.

I just don't think I have it in me to do all the things I did with 12 all over again. I had fun doing it, but it was a lot of work!

Edit: It would be awesome if the armor you wear is reflected in the game. I know the weapons did, and they all looked really cool. Also, the LE FF12 strategy guide is perhaps my favorite of all strategy guides ever made.

You could use a hub (but you'd want one that has a power cord). Or you could have the external only hooked up when you want to play a game on it. If you (safely remove, via quick menu, the drive and) disconnect it, then any games on it show up with an ! icon. If you try to launch one it will tell you to first plug in the external. Plug it in and then you can launch it. But I don't have a Pro and I opted to upgrade the internal to 2 TB first. If and when I fill it up I'll get an external to supplement.

There may be some larger then 2TB drives that would fit internal now. Not sure about that.

So I guess you aren't going to be able to preorder Berserk and the Band of the Hawk...

Guess I gotta come up with something else to get for the $15 back on $100

World of Final FantasyPS4 is $27.99 after GCU at Best Buy for anyone considering it at $35.99 on the current PSN sale.

Just read about the scaling back of PS Now and some articles that think it'll eventually be killed off due to the new limitation of the product.  I don't see why they don't just add the service to Playstation Plus as a perk.  I get that companies don't usually like to add things to existing services without increasing prices but since we're not getting backwards compatibility and lately the Plus free games are lacking (in my opinion), it'd be a nice offering and could even be justified on a modest increase of the price of Plus down the line.

I'd be all for this. I know some people like to think backwards compatibility is not a big deal but I have absolutely loved it on X1. I have like 100 games from the list and many from GwG.

Maybe Sony could at least like 10 hours a month or something of PS Now as a PS+ perk. Would be a nice benefit and could also potentially lead to people paying for more.

Is PS4 version of Bridge Constructor Cross Buy with the Vita version?

It only states this on the Vita page and not on the PS4 page for the game.
I'd love to know this too. I really only want it for vita. And not for $10.. Could be a fun little game for $5 though.

Okay, and how much of a modest increase are you willing to pay for that service? They already charge a pretty heavy price for ps now. The yearly sub is over $100.

Bandwidth is expensive. If they added it or combined it with ps+ i doubt they could do it combined for sub $100.

Is that good? Would you pay $100-$120 for a combined subscription like that? Or just $60 for ps+.

I would love for them to put something together like that, but knowing how expensive that bandwidth is, I am bot sure they can afford to do anything leas than $10 a month for the service.

PS Now isn't BC. It's a Netflix-style service for PS3 games.

I don't own it, so I don't know. All I know is the Vita version's page mentions being Cross Buy with the PS4 version and not vice versa.
