So I've only played god of war 3. And definitely want to get the collection with 1&2. But is the origins collection worth it as well, does it add much to the story?

And also how should I play them in order

Chains of Olympus is mostly a by-the-numbers God of War game, which is still a decent enough game. Ghost of Sparta is fantastic and one of the best in the series. The story is centered around Kratos' brother and is an interesting bit of EU lore that leads into God of War II.

I'd suggest playing them in release order since the gameplay improvements will make the most impact that way.

Until Dawn is definitely one of my favorite games, I must have played through it half a dozen times. I found it's pretty fun to play as part of a group. I belong to a group of local game devs who meet once a week and we also have this "Game Club" where each month a new host picks a game, we all play through it, and get together a month later to record a round-table discussion about it. A couple months after it was releases (in October incidentally -- just in time for Halloween) I was chosen as host and picked Until Dawn.  Because a lot of the people in our group at the time didn't have a PS4, we all got together on a Saturday from about noon to 11 pm and played through the game straight on my PS4. Each of us controlled a different character and passed the controller whenever their character was up. We had a great time, especially with each player having their own play style. One player tried his best to kill his character off and then felt bad when his actions caused the death of a different player's character, another player was trying to survive, but also the type to try different odd things and inadvertently got himself killed. Just a great time all around.

Wish I had listened to the hesitation of fellow CAGers on Malicious Rebirth. I wasn't as turned off by the gameplay video as others but actually playing it is a different story. The controls are just horrible.

War of Monsters, on the other hand, is fun. Never played it on PS2 but good stuff for those who enjoy a Godzilla-esque brawler.

I traded in a few games at GameStop for PSN credit and plan to flip a few more before the weekend ends for more, so the DLC is definitely on the list to buy. I actually enjoyed All-Stars more than Smash Bros on Wii U. That will probably upset everyone, but it's the truth. I just liked the characters more on All-Stars.

Absolutely fantastic action RPG game. Great art style, lots of weapons, cool colorful environments, worth it at full price. Just make sure to set game for offline only (or friends only) before you start playing each time you boot it up, or you'll get annoying randoms invading and ruining your play sessions.

Part of the problem with indies is that you never know whether a game is going to be a huge hit like Rocket League or a bomb like Deer God.

Sony got lucky on Rocket League as a lot of the multiplayer only indie games are not so hot. I'd say the majority of indie games given away as PS+ games have been crap just like the ones given on GwG.

That's not a slam on indie games as there are plenty of great games like Oxenfree and Inside, for example.

Man, I totally forgot about that...thing. I bought it when it first launched. At the time I thought it was pretty cool, but that must have been because 1) there was very little else to play on the system at the time, 2) it had trophies and earning trophies was still novel, and 3) I was stupid. Because it sucks. Some of the music is cool, though.

I'm afraid that we could eventually see PS+ and GWG turn into an enhanced Free To Play platform where developers might specifically design games for the subscription platform to be "free" to those subscribers with the intentional plans of selling a bunch of DLC. This benefits everyone but the consumer since Sony and Microsoft probably can cut better deals for those games since the developer is essentially making a game that might have been otherwise free to play and the developer is getting some money they wouldn't have plus a larger player base to sell that DLC to. The developer also has the added benefit of free advertising and making the product look even better when it is given as part of the subscription rather than just a standard "free to play" game.

One of the main reasons Rocket League was such a good pick for PS+ was because it was an easy way to bolster the game's multiplayer community. Hopefully the same happens to Drawn to Death. Imagine how empty the online community would have been at launch if they weren't giving it away.

Not a huge fan of online multiplayer games, but I understand the reasoning why Sony is doing it.

There's been a number of multiplayer games launched with PS+ and Rocket League is the only one that really has been a huge success. It's a tough nut to crack for indies. Relatively simplistic but very addictive gameplay probably drew people that don't usually play MP games into Rocket League.

I'm not so sure about Drawn to Death. Will just have to see when it releases. Disc Jam doesn't seem like it did very well.

As mentioned that's basically already exactly what's happening on both platforms. Drawn to Death is pretty offensive to a lot of us because it was going to be F2P until about a week before it leaked that it was going to be PS+ this month. Even when the pricing model change was announced we were all puzzled why they were suddenly changing it when the game looked extremely mediocre to begin with and would need all the players it could get to survive. Then we found out.

I tried the alpha/beta of Drawn to Death and other then the initial awe of the creativity of the characters and guns, I got bored pretty quickly. Maybe it'll resonate moreso with teenagers? Maybe I just didn't give it enough of a chance. Guess I'll find out when I get it free in April.
