Now I'm tempted to wait out this latest Naruto game, since Bamco seems all too willing to put their digital stuff on deep discount really quickly (which is good because now I can get Vita cross save versions of J Stars and Pirate Warriors 3, but still...)

Is the Amalur DLC even worth it?

Most reviews say it is lacking quite a bit of content and features, but this was at release.
I thought I remember hearing that the dlc was pretty decent. For $3 each it's hard to complain. I've heard the main game is quite meaty as is. Tons of hours of content. It's a damp shame what happened to the developer.
Ok. But for $13...

I think so. I bought them both for $5 each years ago and thought they were very enjoyable if you like the main game. The pirate one has more content and gives you a cool house, while the other has a frakkin' awesome floating city (I strangely like floating cities so YMMV on this one :) )

And for anyone that has played Helldivers: if I buy the vehicle pack or the pilot pack, can I bring the mechsuit into any level? I would think so, but I haven't played the game yet so I don't know for sure.

How is "Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth"?

I've yet to find any information on it, and the woman at Gamestop (Who was selling it to another customer) didn't know if the spoken dialogue was in Japanese or English, and now I am curious as well.
My buddy who got his copy on release day is enjoying it. I'm still waiting on mine and my damn DLC codes. Thanks Best Buy!

Is Rory McElroy PGA any good? I haven't played a golf game in ages.
It's probably best to wait for Hot Shots Golf or get The Golf Club if you can't wait. With Rory McIllroy, they gimped the career mode a bit with very little customization options for your golfer and no way to have control over improving your golfer's attributes as you rank up.

All of the DLC adds whatever corresponding items they contain to your armory, so you can use them whenever you like.

Sounds like it costs $24 to get all of the non-Platinum DLC if that's what you want. That is unless this release isn't just a bundle of the base game and the DLC, so you could just download the DLC for the base physical/digital version that you might have.
It is. (Game + All Story/Cosmetic DLC) But i just cant get myself to repurchase a game i already have.

And knowing that the Game + Dlc costs $24, so realistically the DLC on sale would've been $10-ish.

I'll just wait for the physical GOTY to go on Sale on BF, then trade in my vanilla physical copy. (i prefer to have all my games physical, much easier to clean and manage HD space.)

I always liked the game + DLC, never agreed with the bad reviews.
Temping to play it again.

I guess I should've bough The Golf Club during that flash sale then. Oh well.

See my only minor problem with the game was that I just wanted to keep progressing.

I was ignoring side quests unless they were directly on my path of whatever I was doing, or sounded interesting.

I few hours into the game, I became overwhelmed and was having trouble progressing (Ogre Cave)... though this may also have to do with weaponry and gear since I heard the enemies scale to or close to your level due to some algorithm.

On Digimon Cyber Sleuth:

It plays more like a JRPG with a 3 Digimon party and reserve members. There's no pooping or life spans where Digimon suddenly die. Instead, you have an area, like the Pokemon daycare, where you have your Digis train certain stats. In order to digivolve, you have to meet level and ability requirements. It is less grindy than previous Digimon games. To get new digis, you scan enemy encounters to get their data. Once it reaches 100%, you can summon one copy of that Digimon to join your party or send it to the farm for training.

On top of that, there's a standard story involving a cyber world and the protagonists being a real world detective. The characters are kind of cliche, but the story is decent with a mystery vibe. The world is colorful which makes the graphics look good, especially for a Vita port.

That sounds quite good, and a lot like the DS games I loved.

I'm very interested in Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth but have read reviews that say aside from optional bosses it's very easy, which seems like it would take some of the fun out of it - can anyone commend on the difficulty and if it's still fun even if easy?

You can switch between normal and hard difficulty. Normal is easy, but so far hard mode has been just right. I'm only a few hours in, but ithasnt been too easy or too grindy. Normal mode will be good for trying to level up for certain digivolutions. You also get better item drops in hard mode.

For Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth there's no longer any way of getting the bonus DLC with a physical release because those were preorder only, correct?

So basically like Digimon World Dawn/Dusk?

...I might actually have to get that now.

I can't recommend Kingdoms of Amalur any more at that price, $3 is bat-shit-crazy, and I also recommend Digimon, it's very cool.

Oh hell yeah, now I get to try out Lego Avengers before I decide if I want it or not. Sweet.  O:)

Did Ys: Memories of Celceta ever go on sale?
(Debating keeping my Vita physicals.. this is the last one I own)
If you're asking if it had a sale when the price dropped to $19.99, then as cleaver mentioned, I don't think it did. However, it did have a sale at least once back in Apr 2014 since that is when I actually purchased it. However, that was when the retail price was still $39.99 (the sale price w/ ps+ was $19.59).

I was asking if it ever once went on sale, I own the physical copy... was hoping to one day see it go on sale.

Spent the last couple of hours programming this Chess board game and I am still not done. I am not entertained. Rather watch the new Sunny or play Witcher 3. Still trying for the platinum for Rocket League since I only need 3 more trophies. The drive x km one, play with a friend and score by hitting opponent into the ball.

I believe I linked to the trailer for Grand Kingdom when it was announced it was coming here.  There's a day one edition and an LE announced now:

A limited edition 500 GB PS4 bundle for Uncharted 4: A Thief's End will be coming on 4/26 for $399.99 with a special light blue PS4 and controller. The controller will be sold separately in March for $64.99. There will also be a matching Gold Wireless Headset also coming in March for $99.99.

Mitsurugi Kamui Hikae is coming to PS4 on 2/16 for $11.99. The little bit I've seen of the PC version didn't look that good to me.

The Hitman beta launches on 2/12. The exclusive mission pack includes six bonus contracts based on the story of a paramilitary group called CICADA with one contract being released with each location/episode.

Why do they insist on making these special edition consoles with measly 500gb hard drives?!? I might actually buy one if it was at least 1tb.

Not a deal, but I can confirm that the Hori FC4 fighting game controller works with PS2 fighting games downloaded from PSN on the PS3. I'm playing Capcom vs SNK 2 right now, and the controller is keeping up well.

I must be in the minority - I think that gray blue is kinda sweet.
The color's fine, the logo's fine. I don't like Nathan but that's me.

I don't even like MGS but I think this is still probably the pinnacle of limited edition PS4 system so far:

1jpg-3b027d.jpg

Clean and not overly obnoxious in it's game branding but still very MGS.

Can they at least put out a trailer that is gameplay?... From the trailer it looks like a VN.
Apparently not. It is a strategy game but you would think they would have put something in that gave some idea what it was:

Bit.Trip Presents... Runner2: Future Legend of Rhythm Alien will be out for PS4 on 2/23 for $9.99 with Cross Buy support for those that own the Vita version. The Good Friends Character Pack is going to be free on PS4 and Vita for the rest of time when the PS4 version launches.

Guess I'm glad I never bought the DLC and I'm sure I'll wind up playing it yet again.

I believe you can set the last one up by yourself with two controllers. Just position, line it up and ram the car.
