It is just the same game?
I'd say it's about 50-75% the same. But the gameplay interaction is different enough along with added portions to make it fun.

My understanding of the PSM situation is:

In order to preserve your PSM downloads, you need to use a system that was activated before September 10th. You can no longer activate PSM on a Vita/PSTV.

You can no longer re-download any of your purchases. Whatever is on your memory card can be backed up/restored using Content Manager if you want to free up memory card space without losing your purchases.

If you swap your Vita/PSTV memory card for another card, or move it between systems, it will rebuild the system's memory card index and you will lose your PSM activation. Since you can no longer re-activate, your purchases will no longer work.
whoa.. wait, what? So if i swap my vita mem card out i will lost my playstation mobile games? That would be a problem since i swap between two main ones quite frequently. As long as i dont put it in my PSTV and just swap the two cards in the same system would i be ok, or would the first time it 'rebuilts the database' would i be screwed? I hate that database bullcrap its so slow and irritating

There's a lot of info about the end of PSM on pspminis.com. One of the main members there posted this:

'A reminder to all reading this: if you want to be able to keep playing your PSM games, do not switch accounts; do not remove or switch your memory card; do not trigger a database rebuild; do not go into Settings and choose to deactivate PSM (duh); do not restore a backup of a PSM game taken from a different PSV/PSTV system. All of these things will leave your system trying to reactivate PSM instead of running PSM games (or, in the case of the last one, trying to reauthorize that game for the different system to which you've restored the backup).'

Welp, that's it. I guess it's good that I saved the PSM games onto a 32 gb memory card. I can just delete some other stuff off. But I will probably end up buying a Vita Slim down the line anyway just to have a second Vita from which I can add or swap new cards.

Metal Gear Solid V is having some special daily login bonuses for starting it up each day during Tokyo Game Show 2015:

About the PS Mobile stuff: Swapping memory cards on the same account seems to be okay. I had the card with my PSM games out and put it back in yesterday and the titles still worked. You need an internet connection to start it up, but as long as you have previously activated, it works. Edit: Haven't tried switching between systems yet, though.

Since switching memory cards triggers a database rebuild, I assume that's okay as well.

As for switching accounts and backing up through the Content Manager, I don't know and I'm not likely to try.

I thought there was a free 20th anniversary theme with the startup screen of the original playstation but I could not find it anywhere last night. I downloaded the last one that came out when the 20th anniversary ps4 did that has the sound and theme settings but this one is suppose to show the original playstation logo upon startup is my understanding.

(Edit, Nevermind, I just see it's a Sharefactory freebie which I just added to cart and checked out. It's pretty cool from what I've read so just a reminder to get it before the 14th.)

There's a ShareFactory theme, but that's it. I don't think there's a theme that can actually change the PS4's startup, but I'm not 100% sure of that.

If I have the cable that I got for the Rocksmith that was for xbox 360, the cable will still work for the PS4 version since it is a cable for the guitar, right?

Can anybody else confirm that PSM games work after swapping memory cards? Maybe someone who wouldn't mind potentially losing their PSM games in the process?

I would try if I hadn't blown $50 on PSM games. Some of them are the expensive Data East mobile phone ports like Burgertime that I can't play any other way so I'm not willing to chance it at this point.

Does anyone know if the protection plan discount for PS Plus members is an ongoing thing or if it is just this week? This is the first time I have looked at it.

do psn+ trials qualify for the extra discount? also around what do the sales update for the next week?  I've never bought anything on psn aside free dlc.

This sounds more like 'be safe' advice before everything came down... until we have reports of people actually testing (and risking their games) we won't know for sure.

EDIT - seems people switching cards are doing fine, as per later posts.

--- the fact is, we're still just not sure how it's all working / not working. but being safe is best if you want to keep them till it's all figured out.

so what is 13.37?   I've got to take kiddies to the park, inquiring minds want to know!

EDIT -- if this is some temporary price glitch and you're not telling us, c'mon, please just tell us so we don't miss it. Thanks?!

This month marks the 6 month time frame for Axiom Verge's release.  I'm hoping it'll go on sale real soon damnit.

EDIT:  Removed comment about today being the 6 month date for the PC release, because I can't count months correctly and stuff and I was wrong.  Sept 30th will be the 6 month date for the initial PS4 release.  Nov 30th for PC.

Ugh... So your telling me the DriveClub game and season pass is 20 right now? if true...do I just buy that for my racing itch or do i still get Forza 6 tomorrow....FFS

Oh it's a "mystery". fucking A, people go out of their way to post deals for you and you jackass them in return.
I just thought it was slightly humorous that the price of the items I purchased on the PSN came out to 13.37, and replied to some people, after they had replied to me. All this in an effort to have a little fun. I didn't lead anyone astray, or claim things that weren't true without obvious comedic intentions. If you want to tell me how I was a jackass, you may. Either way, I believe you sir, are a poop nose.

So which way do I buy it for the cheapest, most complete version? Just the Season Pass for $12.99 since I have Plus, or do I still have to buy the Full Game for $15 too? What about the the Playstation Plus Edition and Season Pass Bundle for $20? Are there any differences. Sorry if this has been addressed before or is just stupid, I just don't really get it, I guess. Since I have the Free Playstation Plus Edition already, what do I purchase for the complete game?

Edit: Ok I didn't see the PS Plus Upgrade part, so I assume the $20 one, right?

If you currently own/purchased nothing the $20 is what you want.

That's almost more confusing sounding because I have the free Playstation Plus one already. Lol. Technically I "purchased" it, but I assume you mean if I just have the Playstation Plus Edition, buy the $20 "upgrade" and season pass. I'm not in a rush, so I was just wondering. I am an idiot, by the way. :) I'll figure it out though. Thanks for the reply anyways, it's much appreciated. I think I get it now, maybe, so it's cool.
