A sale starting on a Monday? Is this some sort of anniversary for the game? Also, i'm really tempted to get the season pass. The game is actually pretty good and the graphics are great. I just wish I enjoyed sim racers more. Slowing down for curves is for losers.

It's a sale to get more people to buy the game and/or season pass. The EU version of the sale started last Monday, so it fits in quite well with that plan.

New Sprint Mode tracks every week until Christmas and there's a big update coming in October that's highlighted in the Facebook link above:

I think they are also putting DriveClub on sale as sort of compotition for Forza 6 that comes out tomorrow and honestly im seriously thinking of not getting Forza and just getting DriveClub insted and saving myself 30 bucks

I'm the opposite and this is exactly the reason I don't see myself splurging on it.

 
If anyone else picks up drive club feel free to add me on PSN. Half the fun for myself in these games is competing with other people's times.

No doubt Forza 6 is going to be great. But for 20 smack-a-roos you can't go wrong. You can always grab Forza when it inevitability drops in price.

How is MGS3 on the Vita? I started replaying MGS2 after the grindy tedious disappointment that was TPP and now I remember why MGS2 was a disappointment, the reasons I forgot for all the arguments about the plot after the fact so I kinda want skip to the good one.

But then I remember the Vita is two buttons shy of even a New 3DS.

 
Is it safe to assume that the $20 season pass for the free Driveclub Plus edition upgrade will be a permanent purchase, and that we can still have access to the game even when our Plus subscription runs out?

Multiple people asked what you bought, because you're on a site dedicated to people finding good deals -- sometimes those are rare price mistakes.... for example, maybe you bought some recent $60 game for $13.37 due to a price glitch. Those often require fast reflexes, because they get taken down fast. Your cryptic posts about it only further hinted it was some odd price glitch or something.

If you'd just said 'nah, I just thought the total was cool' all would be fine.

It's not for PS Now, as those games are not re-rated when added to the service. You can do a search on the ESRB site to see that anything on PS Now, like MGS4 or FFXIII, don't show up for PS4, Vita, etc.

I hit the delete button when it had another large update on the same day as destiny's 2.0 update from hell (on ps3 it was 14+ hours to finally get a successful download that didn't hang for no reason).

Are there any other racing games on psn (ps3/ps4) that are similar in handling / driving / fun as cheapyD's fav in the cagcast Forza Horizon 2?
I've no xbox but would want to dabble in something on par or reaching the same caliber.

I liked midnight clubs, the one older gran torismo (sp), even the driving in GTA online was more entertaining than driveclub for me.
I wanted to like it :(
 
For those on the fence about DriveClub. Don't be. I own Forza 6 and DC, and they're both excellent and VERY different games. I've been playing FM6 for the last few days and am addicted, but DriveClub is its own kind of amazing. It's a good time to love racing games!

Best advice would be to sign up for the NfS 2015 beta and see how that turns out. There's also a new edition of The Crew slated for later this year.

 
I searched the thread and didn't see this mentioned, so I apologize if it's been covered: Baseball Stars is listed in the sale list, but there is no link and i can't find it on the PS Store. All I see is Baseball Stars 2 and Baseball Stars Prfessional. Was this just a mistake? 

 
It's weird that The Taken King doesn't unlock until 5 AM ET/2 AM PT, which I think may be the time that vendors and bounty stock rolls over and refreshes like a server-wide refresh?

The new MP mode Mayhem is kind of rad, as they greatly reduce the cooldowns on your abilities so the name is very apt for that experience.

Driveclub reminded me of Project Gotham Racing for some reason, so I liked it. Got it for $20 at Walmart a couple months ago. Not disappointed. 

 
Driveclub takes a little while to 'get' because it's not quite sim, not quite arcade... once the handling clicks, it's an absolutely fantastic game.

Highly recommend giving it enough time to click.

Yeah this is definitely happening on server reset. All of the data is in game now, that's what 2.0 did, all that is left is the unlock Key to be downloaded. You should be able to do this on PSN if you preordered

 
Did anybody else's Driveclub PS+ Upgrade and Season Pass Bundle not show up under their purchase history or media in your account management, plus the full game still shows $14.99 with a few add-ons still not "purchased". I called customer support and they said I have to buy that to activate the bundle, otherwise it won't work. The game starts up and seems to be the full game (I don't really know, I only played it enough to know I liked it really) and there's a lot of stuff under my DLC list too and the full game, but if for some reason I ever lose/restore my license, I guess I lose everything for it for good as there is no trace of it besides my receipt and the rep didn't care. This kind of sucks. Maybe I misunderstood what I was buying and rushed it, but I thought it upgraded to the full game and gave you the season pass for $20, not $35? Anyone else have any problems or weird shit like this happen on this game? I bought the $20 Driveclub Bundle, which I thought was what everybody else would probably be getting and the best deal. Dammit, this sucks. I don't have any trace of even the original free one anymore. It's weird. I've tried everything I could think of, too.

Edit: Sorry to ramble and this is terribly written but I'm kind of annoyed with the person I chatted with, even though they usually are pretty good with customer support. I have the receipt so unless I'm just an idiot, which is always possible, I should be fine, right?

Yeppers, I assume that most people that don't like the handling just don't put the time into learning the game.

If you are upgrading from the free Plus edition, then you bought the right bundle. I wouldn't worry too much right now as PSN can be a bit glitchy on days when the servers are updating, usually on a Tuesday. I'd give it till Wednesday and then check your download list again.

Why? I mean I played the PS+ version, it felt sluggish, it didn't feel right, it looked good, and I am sure with time I could get used to the controls, but guess what, I shouldn't have to.

Honestly the game felt a lot like MSR/PGR but not with all of the refinements that series had or with as much of the kudos system. I just didn't feel compelled to keep playing.

However, that price is awesome, and if you absolutely need a driving game, Driveclub isn't bad, it's an acquired taste.

It's a fantastic racer, from someone who enjoys FH2.

Cool, thanks. I hope it works out alright. Yeah I know Tuesdays are usually hell on PSN, I guess I'm just annoyed if I can't renew it or something like that. I'm going to give it some time though, thanks for the reply. It's somewhat broken up in my Download List actually the full game and most DLC are there, but It's not showing up in my Account Management > Media and Devices or if I go to Purchase History on my PC, though. Also I can't download the DLC they're just there, I guess that might be normal. I don't know. Lol anyways thanks again. I'm probably just being stupid because I would've spent the extra $8 probably just to definitely own both game and pass or whatever. The CS was lousy, I used to do that, there's no excuse for it, really.

Agreed! There's no excuse for rudeness, but the CS probably don't know what he/she was talking about most of the time. I just tested out by purchasing one of the free DLCs (the Mercedes AMG) and queued it to download to my PS4. I then checked under my "download list" by going into my account at the Playstation Store's website on my laptop, and although it does show up there was no download option for me to redownload it again. It's possible that I only have the Plus edition, and these free DLCs only work if you have the full version. I suspect that if you had purchased the Plus upgrade bundle $20 one, and download that things should be fine. But lets wait till Wednesday or so to see if anyone has experienced the same issue you're having. It could be as simple as downloading the correct DLC with regards to the versions you buy to have them show up on your download list.

The full game, without the regular season pass, has all of these free DLCs that it could download. I believe the season pass has all of those DLCs already included, i.e., you don't have to download the free ones once you purchase the season pass if you have a regular full game. Someone correct me if I'm wrong about this.

 
Driveclub worth it for $25? Or should I just stick with the free PS+ Bundle? I'm getting a PS4 tomorrow and will be downloading the free edition very soon.

I would say try the free version first and then if the controls feel right for you -holy shit that avatar is hot- I mean, if you get used to the handling of the cars and such, then the rest of the game is definitely worth it. The one thing I hear most people complain about are the controls, the rest of the game, content, graphics, are all very well done. And it's also probably the best racer on PS4 now and at least for a while.

PS+ version also doesn't have too much content, but it gives you a feel for the game. The rest of the tours are huge though, and especially with the season pass. $25 is a great deal, seeing as how the base game was originally $60 when it launched.

Yeah I mean the only game I'll have now is Destiny + TKK and all that. I'm thinking about picking up GTA V for $20 off some rando on craigslist, so this game may be perfect for me.

 
Driveclub isn't bad. If I had never played Forza 5 I would be totally okay with it, but I enjoy the Forza games so far on Xbox One, and the new one coming out tomorrow just continues to beef up my racing backlog. I finally completed all the races on 5, and am not even close to being done on Horizon.
