Does the memory card adapter for PS3 actually work? I have one, and I want to transfer my PS2 card saves over to my slim PS3 to use with my PS2 classic downloads but they don't seem to be working. At least, the downloaded games don't seem to be recognizing the saves. I really don't want to restart games like La Pucelle Tactics and Persona 3: FES over from scratch.
It does work, but PS2 Classics don't use the Memory Card Utility for save storage. They save like normal PS3 games but have their own section for saves near the top of the Game tab like how Minis are separate from PS3 games. Only physical PS2 games can save to the MCU for the PS3s that have that form of BC.

Thanks, Frisky. I still have an 80 gb PS3 in addition to my 500 gb slim but I only use it for the physical discs. Looks like I'll be starting over with Persona 3. Sigh...

Just wanted to double check before pulling the trigger on Driveclub, since I downloaded the Plus edition, the Playstation Plus edition & season pass bundle gets me everything for $20, right? Seems pretty obvious, but it's Sony, so thought I'd check first.

https://store.playstation.com/#!/en-us/games/addons/driveclub-playstationplus-edition-season-pass-bundle/cid=UP9000-CUSA00093_00-PSPLUSSEASONPASS
It is a bit confusing, but from what I understand the bundle you linked includes almost everything; the base Driveclub game (not the "free PS+ version", the actual base game itself that you would get if you bought the retail box version) plus the Season Pass, which gives a bunch more stuff (cars, tracks, challenges, etc.). I bought the above, and once downloaded the game is 27gb total on my PS4.

After buying, all those livery packs automatically installed (from the Seaon Pass), but none of the "free" cars or other "free" content installed; you have to get them individually.

That's because the free stuff isn't a part of the season pass.

Yes, Deej posted saying that it works...and they wont be fixing it for some time.

I used all of my strange coins already :/

Well, good morning, Reddit!

I was just conferring with the Design Team about how Three of Coins is performing in the wild. It is their assessment, and yours as well, given the context of the dialogue here, that the drop rates are too damn high. For now, this will play in your favor...

You earned those coins. Have fun spending them. The Nine may be delighted that you're blowing them all now.

As always, thanks for being an outstanding source of feedback and awareness. We like you just fine.

DeeJ, out.
Yeah I spent around 80 of my coins doing this farming, but then I started getting dups and mostly primary engrams, so Iooking at how Strange Coins have become harder to obtain with all the changes, I didn't want to waste more and it really seems like they want us to blow through them.

Got Drive Club, I'm so glad I didn't pull the trigger last week & now I end up getting the full game + season pass :D/

So might be somewhat off topic, but did anyone else get an email from ubisoft to be part of the rainbow six stress test from September 21-23. Apparently they want to check their servers before the full beta. When I redeemed the code they sent me the download was labeled as the beta.

No not yet you're lucky I hope I get one for ps4.

Grabbed Persona 4 & La Pucelle: Tactics.  For 4.50 total it seemed like it would be worth adding both to my PS3 library despite having a sealed copy of P4G waiting for my attention.  I'd really love to see Vita (& PSTV) get some PS2 backwards compatibility because La Pucelle looks like the perfect game for portable play.  It seems like my kind of strategy rpg.  Gonna pass on the rest of the sales.

First impressions of he stress test for the r6 beta. I encountered zero lag in all of the matches I played but it takes FOREVER to find a match. At the shortest I would wait a minute. At longest I waited around 5 before exiting the lobby and looking again. While I understand this is a stress test with less people then the actual beta, I do find it annoying that you have to have a full lobby to play the game.

Been playing Persona 4: Dancing All Night for review, which should go up tomorrow along with a video. The quick thing I can say is that if you weren't sure if the game would still be Persona, the story mode kicks off in true Persona 4 fashion with a ton of exposition as the first chapter was about two hours long with one song to play. The following chapters are better about that, but they know what you want out of story in a Persona game.

http://blog.us.playstation.com/2015/09/21/dungeon-defenders-ii-coming-to-ps4-september-29th/

Dungeon Defenders II is releasing on PS4 next week in a pre-alpha state. It's going to have controller support and two-player local co-op before the PC version, but will get other content after the updates on PC. The game will be free-to-play when it's done, but they're offering three special bundles for currency to play it before that.

Visual Novel + Rhythm game = 7th Circle of Hell.

But I'm glad those who dig stuff like this will get it. Now just give me a proper Vita SMT game without social links.

Everything seems fairly balanced weapon wise. Although it doesn't play as your standard twitch shooter, I'm still annoyed at how quickly you die. Death is permanent every round so you have to be careful with how you maneuver yourself. I had a blast when I finally got a lobby and everyone had a mike. I'm not particularly good at the game as I haven't played an Fps in well over a year, but the idea of breaching an area defended by actual humans is very fresh. It gets you thinking of ways to dupe the other team into maneuvering into areas that you can more easily take them out in. The closest comparison I have is to the last of us multiplayer. If you move slow and in coordination with your team you have a far higher chance of victory. Overall I enjoyed it. I should point out though that despite this being a stress test prior to the beta, I was still disconnected from 2/3 of the matches I played. A match consists of several rounds on the same map (first to four wins I believe). If they can fix up the matchmaking issues and I find some people to play with from either CAG or the beta itself, I will probably preorder it. If you would like me to elaborate on something more specific go ahead and ask.

SOMA sounds nice but when Until Dawn is out there right now which is one of the best Horror Games made in many many years idk if I can justify dropping 30 bucks on it.

which game are we talking about? sounds right up my alley.

That DriveClub deal end tomorrow?

I'm tempted to get the season pass for all them sweet, sweet trophies, but I have a pretty hard time with the events in the free expansions, so I'm not so sure.

That's about what I figured. Didn't see the words "full game" in the description, but I remembered that you made a purchase to convert the ps+ version to full. Thanks, traded in my physical copy at Gamestop and bought a psn card to get it for under $7.

If you past up :ps4: Foul Play when you could buy it for as low as $2, shame on you  :nottalking: . Very surprised by how fun it is, well worth it.

There's no known end date, but I'm guessing it'll be one of the next few Mondays since it began last Monday.

When does the PSN store typically update?
Usually no later than 5pm, however deals often tend to show up around 1 or 2pm.

....

Frisky, thanks for the P4:D feedback. I wasn't sure that game was even remotely going to be my kind of game but having enough story elements thrown in definitely put it on my radar. Thanks.

Pushing me over the top is that the Gamestop listing specificly says "P4D is PSTV compatible". :D/

I wasn't expecting much story from a rhythm game at all.

The one thng I really don't like is having so dang many voices replaced.

Woah, didn't know SOMA was out today or that it was for PS4 ._______.

I would like to make myself wait for it but I'm at that point in MGS V where you start wondering why you're still playing it.

'bout 100hrs in, don't know how much of that isn't accurate though. The mission where you go in with nothing made me realize how much I relied on going in way overpowered like: rocket launcher, stealth camo, NVG, silenced assault rifle, Quiet taking out everybody with a silenced sniper, c4 to take out their systems

There's that big base you're supposed to make through the gates to get to Skull Face and I just used the stealth camo and ran straight through

Today is Outbreakday on PSN.  TLoU and TLoU Remastered will be 40-50% off will addition sales for PS+.  If none of your have played LoU yet....all ima say is what in the hell are your waiting for

free on plus
you people are all funny. If you honestly think your ever gonna see many, if any Triple A games free on PS+ anymore your in for a rude awakening. PS4 has been out nearly two years now and we have not recieved one AAA game for free yet(least for PS$.) Not even a launch title like Knack or Killzone(and no i dont count the Driveclub glorified demo) so you go ahead and keep on hopeing for that.

what do you mean you people?
Meaning every single person on these threads that say ill wait for PS+. If you have not seen the radical shift in games sony has offered as its PS+ offerings over the past few years then idk what to tell you. Im not gonna say that it will never happen. But PS+ is pretty much for indies now, which is fine for me, and others, but everyone who thinks your gonna be getting AAA titles with plus anymore is in denial.

We have recieved a full release title before from ps plus. Injustice. I was not a fan, but it is something. I would not be surprised if during Black Friday they gave away Last of Us for PS plus and made it a BF bundle with another game. I also wouldn't be surprised if they didn't do that too.

Your right i did forget about Injustice. But still thats one game in two years

Store updates by 2pm PST, 5pm EST. May be finished sooner. Last week's sales are gone by 11am PST usually.

Frisky, can you please ensure at least one good store glitch this week? You know, something that should be $60 or so for only a few bucks? Thanks.

Your right i did forget about Injustice. But still thats one game in two years
I know, right? Why weren't they giving us launch games from the getgo? My $4 bucks a month deserves either:

1) A $60 PS4 game per month

or

2) Blood Sacrifice.

It is PSTV compatible. However, if you have a big TV, the game might be harder since you have to be aware of all the edges.

On a side note: my review is here if anyone is interested. :)

Store updates by 2pm PST, 5pm EST. May be finished sooner. Last week's sales are gone by 11am PST usually.

Frisky, can you please ensure at least one good store glitch this week? You know, something that should be $60 or so for only a few bucks? Thanks.

I know, right? Why weren't they giving us launch games from the getgo? My $4 bucks a month deserves either:

1) A $60 PS4 game per month

or

2) Blood Sacrifice.
I am just wondering what the sales of Knack are each month. I cannot imagine it moving a lot of copies anymore especially with everyone thinking it is going to be free with ps plus eventually. Also, it is mediocre and got reviews around 5/10

I don't even want it. I rather have other things, but if I got it I would play it.

Not an issue for me, I'm mostly gaming with my PSTV on a 27" pc monitor so I wouldn't have to slide back much to get everything into focus. If I was playing on a much bigger tv I'd just sit further away. That was a helpful review of the game. I can definitely see adding this to my library.

Is there any decision making to the story portion of the game or is it just mindlessly advancing the text until the next song starts? I enjoy visual novel stuff but more so when there are choices (like Disgaea Infinite).

I think it did rather well, overall. Lots of people are still just getting their ps4s and it's child friendly.

But you hit the nail on the head about the sale's tail... it's long at launch. Towards the end of the ps3's lifecycle, a game comes out, sells, disappears. But early in the gen, while there aren't as many games out, launch games often sell decently. People just getting a ps4 still want their Killzones or early releases like Infamous. Once we start getting a deeper catalog AAA games will come more often to ps+.

It's all pretty simple:

1) Sony wants to get the best games it can on the service to sell more service. If they could get GTA5 on it they would.

but...

2) Sony only has $x to spend per game to convince the publisher to put it on ps+.

If the amount of money they can budget per game is less than publisher thinks they will earn selling it through normal channels, then the publisher won't make a deal.

Give it time (and sequels to promote, etc) and we'll start getting 'bigger' titles. But it's not about Sony 'choosing' indie games instead of AAA games. Again, Sony wants the absolute best/biggest/most well known games it can get on the service to sell the service. But it must be kept within an allotted budget.

I think that's the fundamental flaw with all the people hating on indies and clamoring for AAA titles... they act as if Sony is somehow ripping them off, rather than understanding Sony is doing everything they can do to get premium titles for the service within the limits of their budget. They aren't trying to push people away from the service, they are trying to make it worthwhile.

You do get some dialogue choices but they only really affect the next few lines, not the story overall.
