The Walking Dead Season Two hasn't been on sale (unless it was a part of a flash sale) since February, so there's no fishy stuff going on there.
I bought WD Season 2 on 8/24/2015. I would have only purchased it if it was deeply discounted, so I assume it was a flash sale. I think it was about $5.

He probably didn't remember it because it was pretty shitty. I am hoping they have a $1 black friday flash sale for next month.
Probably unlikely. The Black Friday flash sales in the past have tended to be more like $40-60 retail games on sale for maybe 30-70% off (often more expensive than the physical copies of the same games on sale at other retailers for BF). The major $1 flash sales usually seem to happen in the spring...

I bought Walking Dead season two when it was on sale sometime back. No regrets. I was glued to the seat until I finished that thing. Just because it has been on the market for a while and is pretty cheap to buy at retail now, I don't think that makes it any less of a worthy game for PS plus. I know some people don't like the "limited gameplay" aspect of the Telltale stuff, but this game is golden, even better than season 1 in my opinion. I can't say enough good about it. It's free, just play it, you won't feel like you wasted even a minute of your time.

I would have to disagree. Season One was just brilliant, and much more so for me than Season Two. But to each his own.

I guess so. I think people could probably relate to the adult character in season 1 more, but playing as a kid in season two and having to make ridiculously difficult decisions as a child, and going through some of the things she went through were what made it feel unique and fresh for me as far as perspective.

More indie crap and heres a psp game for vita? LOL!
posted a while back Sony has given up on the Vita, you will not see anymore major games from sony for the vita.. Sony will make the game into a Indie handheld simple as that. Same on PSN you will no longer see major games for the Vita on PSN+ all will be indie games

does anyone else have the bug where if they multi-quote then while editing all the bylines are the same [though it corrects itself when you publish]?

Except that without the Kickstarter, the game wouldn't exist. At least not in this form. If your goal as a backer is not to help a cool project get made and hopefully see it become successful when it's done, Kickstarter might not be right for you. Also, PS+ isn't a free service., as we paid to get
Exactly. If you invest in an idea on kickstarter you're the reason it's getting made. You're getting the game that you desired enough to shell out cash for instead of it never happening at all. Who cares about the rest? So what if they decided it was a safer/better deal to 'sell' it to Sony to be on PS+ than risk being ignored on the store? Imo you should be happy an idea you though was good enough to invest in is getting such wide distribution. That's awesome for the devs, and good news for the game, and makes a sequel all the more likely if it gets a good reception.

This seems to be the trend where someone at Sony says something honest about them being done supporting the Vita and the internet gets mad and they feel the need to backtrack. Of course the whole time missing the point.
possible? or maybe they really just meant 'no aaa games', and people heard that as 'no games', so they are fine tuning the message. games like hell divers, or whatever - -the ones with polish, but aren't 'aaa'. who knows? i don't see why they'd lie now and say they are in fact bringing content if they aren't. people on the internet seem to like to overreact to any little half-answer during an interview, though.

what year is this? no shit. we've know sony wasn't investing in aaa vita games for forever, for good reason. that doesn't mean we don't get tons of great games.

I find it funny that they give away 2 sequels to story based games. No one should be playing the 2nd game in the title after the 1st for both of these games( Mass Effect and TWD ). I guess you could for ME2 since the original got ported afterwards so they included some sort of short comic so you could pick the choices, but still.

I got super excited about Dragon Fin Soup for a second. I saw some thumbnail photos when google searching and thought it was a side scroller Maple Story type game.
TWD was already a ps+ game, wasn't it? People would have been pissed if they put that out again. And ME2 plays fine by its lonesome, that's how i played it.

Holy crap, thanks for this. I totally forgot about Dragon Fin Soup, i didn't even know it was basically out. That game looked really interesting to me when i heard about it ages ago. I look forward to playing it

If Sony had ever created a consistent message for the Vita or seemed to not be actively sabotaging it people may have been willing to give them a bit more credit.

i don't understand what credit needs to be given, though. One person basically said 'no aaa games in development'. The other later clarified 'we do have other things in development though'.

The is no contradiction, no confusion, no anything other than two clear sentences. The only issue was that in between them a bunch of people freaked out and screamed their heads off because Sony [smartly] decided to stop making aaa games for it and people took that to mean 'no games, ever, from anyone!".

This isn't a story about mixed messages from Sony - their messages were clear. This is a story about people on the internet blowing everything out of proportion.

Hey our right hand is doing this while our left hand is doing this and we don't support any of it!

Though I do like to think of them as a two headed ogre. "We no develop more Vita games, legacy platform." "Quiet you, they'll hear us! Of course it's still a priority, that's why lots of other people are still making games for it and we allow them!"

Have you played the main campaign? $20 was my price point but I'm unsure if the extra $7 for the DLC will be worth it if the game is just so-so.

I'm really pleased with the November PS+ selection - TWD S2 and Magicka 2 were both games I wanted, and I've never heard of Dragon Fin Soup but it looks pretty cool.

I'm pretty sure I know what they're doing with one of those hands...

Hey all.  Any movies one can suggest to take a look at for rental that I can't rent from my normal movie shop?  I'm looking at HD quality stream, so said movie must have no Blu option.

I was hoping to find an Argento movie to stream but alas I seem to have no luck.  WTF is the deal with looking for Argento's stuff, even to rent?!  What is wrong with you Anchor Bay?!  Ffs how can anyone handle regional rights so BADLY for a set of properties.  Are all of Argento's catalog titles available to rent online anywhere like Sony, MS or anywhere else?  Or even a fair amount?!

Oh and can anyone recommend a GOOD Horror app. for movies from the 90's and before?!  I'm dying here guys.  The 80's and 90's titles being offered by both Netflix, Hulu and Amazon are pathetic.  Hulu edges out slightly with Netflix almost being on par with Amazon.  Sorry, sorry.   Screambox offerings really suck, despite being offered by Sony.  There are a few gems but it's not good enough for me to sign up for a trial.

So is Trail of the Sky better on psp or on pc? I know the graphics will be better on PC but are there any other differences to care about?

Well, I just watched the remake of Poltergeist and can say you can safely skip it. In fact, definitely skip it, it's trash.

But see, to me, that's all stuff the internet said, not Sony. Shu said there would be no more "aaa" development, not that they wouldn't make any more games. That's the internet misconstruing a fairly simple and straightforward statement.

As for legacy, that was during an investor meeting and was talking about writing off specific vita 1000 components no longer being used. You can listen to the whole thing, and see the very boring slideshow here:

http://www.irwebcasting.com/20150527/4/affbb60304/mov/main/index.html

He was clearly not calling it a 'legacy system' as the slides themselves are clearly talking about specific components and the meeting itself is all about snore-inducing investments, expenses, exchange rates, and other purely business-speak.

But of course, the internet decided that Sony was doing some sort of press release about how the Vita was dead or something.

---

I'm not trying to completely defend Sony's handling of Vita here. But I think it's absurd to repeat untruths as fact as well. It's just the internet being the internet and taking everything out of context and trying to paint a certain narrative. If you actually read the interviews, watch the slideshows, and whatnot everything sony is saying is quite straightforward.

Why do we need to look for Sony business meetings for proof the Vita is dead when the ACTUAL VITA PERFORMANCE/LIBRARY is proof enough anyway?

Oh right, console war ammunition. Gotta have lots of stuff to copy/paste if you wanna survive a console war thread.

Um... because we're not talking about what console is better than another? Or even debating how the Vita is doing? I think everyone here except maybe you and slidecage are generally on the same page about the state of the vita, give or take. We're just talking about specific quotes and what they actually mean.

I'm not bringing up the business meeting to "prove" the Vita is dead or alive, only pointing out the way journalists represented the use of the word 'legacy' to everyone was incorrect, which I'd do for any quote taken out of context by pretty much anyone. Ammunition? For what? Nobody is saying the Vita is doing amazing or that Sony did everything right. Nobody is even arguing with each other, just talking.

You're the one talking console war bullshit, insulting others and generally being aggressive... ironic, right?

Seconded. The Evil Within ps3 season pass was the one thing I was really hoping would be included in the Halloween sales.

Might be down to get Trails in the Sky PSP for $10.  That seems like a pretty fair deal.  Not great but fair.

...

All this whining about Vita stuff is silly.  Sony isn't supporting it with big games anymore, which honestly I'm fine with because I never bought a Sony handheld specifically for Sony games.  PSP for me was all about GTA VCS & LCS along with OutRun 2006 Coast To Coast, Burnout Legends, Gitaroo Man Lives and so on.  Vita for me was about the AAA indie games, the AAA Japanese games that rarely come to North America, some HD upgrade ports of series I wanted to play but just havent, PSP & PS1 backwards compatibility (especially all those AAA games from PSP & PS1) on the digital store... and if I dare to do it I can remote play PS4 games which I think is pretty cool.   If sony never releases another game for the Vita, I'm cool with that as the 3rd party support has been good.  We got some solid up front support with some core franchises and hd ports of some AAA franchises like Sly Cooper, God of War, Ratchet & Clank, Metal Gear Solid 2&3 ... etc... and the 3rd parties are providing a lot of interesting stuff to play.  Maybe it's not the perfect machine for every gamer, but to me it's got more than enough to keep my attention.

I should've clarified. I was looking to hit the $100 mark with movies rented from Sony's shop I haven't seen and aren't on Blu-ray yet. I'm speaking more of older movies in the latter regard. One of the few I found was "976-EVIL" which isn't available on Netflix, Hulu or Amazon for free. I need to look and see if the entire J-Horror trilogy is available for purchase in HD, if it's not on Blu-ray in Japan, Korea or China. J-Horror Trilogy is "Infection", "Premonition" and "Reincarnation". Heck, if there's an HD copy of "Pulse" I'm about ready to bite.

Well "976-EVIL", "Brainscan" or "Dark Water(JP)" I may just buy on Sony's movie service.

Speaking of buying digital copies of movies in HD, what service offers the best in picture quality? I've been hearing a lot of people say Vudu's HD-X. What is everyone else's verdict?

I'm going to venture a bit away from your parameters for horror recommendations here, but if you haven't seen it yet, invest the time in "It Follows". Hell, buy it...it's that good.

I paid full price for the game when I preordered it. The story is a mess, but it's the closest thing to Resident Evil 4 gameplay wise and feel wise since 2004.

I wouldn't pay him any mind. He has openly admitted to only posting things to troll and try to get a rise out of people.

I don't care about actual first party games for the Vita, because to be honest there aren't (m)any Sony games that interest me (it's why I don't have a PS3 or PS4). It's the principle of it, and how Sony likes to do everything in their power to destroy the Vita. It's extremely vexing.

Oh, yea, i was aggressive back to you. But the conversation with eldritch wasn't aggressive at all until you joined it.
It's not aggressive I'm just making a fricken joke about the Vita's miserable lineup and the way console war threads go. It's not supposed to be offensive. Just that trying to read tea leaves on these executive meetings serves no practical purpose EXCEPT if your job is to troll.

Speaking of people being pointlessly aggressive...
