Tom Happ says Axiom Verge will be on sale for around the same 30% off as the current EU sale by the end of November along with it being "off and on throughout the holiday" that may be more of a nod to the Steam version, which makes it sound like it'll either be a Thanksgiving week sale or a Black Friday Flash Sale-type situation. He also details the reasoning for handling sales like they have with the six month wait for any sales and the early heads up for upcoming sales. The Vita version is also mentioned that he's made significant progress with it and will be sharing new details in the next month or so.

Then you have to play it again for the 2nd ending!

I semi enjoyed RE6, except Chris' campaign.
Here's the cruelest joke, for the half of MGS4 I played and for TPP (And PW as well...), I resolved to skip every cutscene that did not interest me immediately. Kojima had no good will left from me after I've seen all the people he tricked into thinking MGS2 was clever.

You can't skip the crawling.

You got me, Kojima. Ass.

I rag on RE6, a lot. It deserves it. But I still put a truly stupid quantity of hours into the damn game. Semi enjoying it isn't unusual.

I didn't find it "That bad"
They put alot of effort into it, but lost to much of their vision.. turning it into a horror-action movie instead of a survival horror.

There are moments of fun, and moments of stupidity (All the driving, on rails and turret sections)

I really did enjoy Revelations 1 and 2 though.

They really threw everything and the kitchen sink into RE6 and it shows. I have to respect that despite the fact that it results in such a mess. I'll play a weak campaign if Mercs is good but after a while it just felt like all the sliding, flipping, rolling, amazing movement crap was just that: Amazing glitz movement crap completely useless for any sort of decent play. That's about when I finally cut myself off from the game.

The story had its good moments and had its terrible moments. Oh boy yet another super scripted turret boss those are so much fun.

RER1 was worse than 6 I think. May as well have been RE6 with all the scripted fun crap removed. Linear shooter that wasn't exciting.

RER2 was really good though. But I think part of that is the difference between dodge on a stick waggle QTE and dodge on a separate button. I'm picky.

Hmm so if they dont make their goal the game wont be made? I need to give this a shot tomorrow. I liked the art style a lot. I've never used indiegogo. If i pledge and it fails i dont lose any money right? I dont think they're going to make it unfortunately =(
It's a fixed funding campaign like Kickstarter, so they don't get any money if it doesn't make its goal.

Okay, one more time concerning this PS Mobile situation:

"On March 11, 2015, SCE notified users that they must activate their PlayStation®Vita (PS Vita)/PlayStation®TV (PS TV) systems in order to continue playing their PlayStation®Mobile (PSM) content after the termination of the service. However, it has become apparent that even if users activate their devices by following the notified procedure, their devices may become deactivated in certain cases.

In response to the above, we have set a new device activation method and implementation period. We apologize for any inconveniences this may cause, but we ask users to perform device activation by following the instructions below.

Device activation procedure*1:

• Users must update their PS Vita/PS TV systems*2 to the latest system software (version 3.55 and beyond), be connected online, and launch their purchased PSM content between October 13, 2015 and February 29, 2016. Activation will be completed just by launching the content once*3.

*1 Even after users complete the above procedure, if they swap their PS Vita memory cards or backup/restore their PS Vita/PS TV data, they must connect to the network the first time they are accessing PSM content.
*2 Up to three compatible devices (PS Vita, PlayStation®Certified devices) can be activated.
*3 If users deactivate their devices after February 29, 2016, they will no longer be able to play their purchased PSM content on the deactivated devices.

Sincerely,
The PlayStation Team"

I didn't fully understand this because of how it was worded, so I did some experimenting on my own. Normally when you switch out a memory card then your PS Mobile gets deactivated. According to the above quote, you should only need to go online to reactivate PSM one time for each memory card you have.

I took out memory card A and put in B; the PS Mobile games did not work until I went online again. I put memory card A back in, and the same thing happened with the PSM games on that card. Then I went back to card B again.. and the games still would NOT work until I went online again.

I assumed that they were trying to permanently activate PSM to avoid anyone losing their games forever. But as of right now that's still a very real problem. It seems like the only thing they're doing right now is temporarily giving a way to reactivate PSM, but that February 29 date leads me to believe that this will not be an option forever. They have fixed absolutely nothing.
I still have not swapped out my memory card with all my PSM games on it just because I'm afraid to lose them. I bought about 20 or so games before the service went down and I'd be pissed if they were rendered inoperable since some of them are really fun.

This isn't really a solution for PSM customers, but at least it gives me a few more months to find a deal on a 64GB memory card. If they're admitting to the issues, why is it so hard for them to just permanently activate any devices with prior PSM purchases? Should be a simple firmware change.

Anyone pick up Shovel Knight for PS4?  Breaking the trend completely, it comes with a nice thick color manual, really a surprise for a game released at such a budget cost.  My copy arrived a few days ago, and I noticed it was much heavier than a normal PS4 retail release, so I checked an unboxing video on Youtube and saw the manual.  Nice to see one after all these years of almost nothing!

This was the only PS4 version unboxing I could find, they guy is a little annoying but he does show the manual that comes with it:

I'm guessing it's not as simple as it might appear from the outside, or may open up security holes (allowing things to run spoofed as PSM, or whatever).

What I'd like to see is basically their current solution, but more permanent -- as in, you can always go to activate your vita if need be. If there are issues with the current solution we might just get something like that.

Yeah the problem is that it's a DRM built into the core of the games that requires a specific server connection. It's part of the platform, yes PSM is a separate platform and why it had it's own short sighted requirements for this, and DRM is generally designed to be rigid. I believe a couple of the devs that ported their games over to PSN have mentioned how they had to basically had to go back and scrub it from the source code because it's at a fairly deep level.

Guitar Hero TV you are a dirty bastard.  Win 12-15 songs in a row by a comfortable margin and the finish top 5 in 18 straight songs trophy is in my sights and it decides to switch me into a new group full of people with crazy upgraded guitars and I finish 6th trailing 5th by like 20% of my points. Le sigh.

I'm thinking about biting on Tetris & Assassin Creed: China. I heard good things about Tetris but also remember reading article when it launched that it was buggy. Have all those issues been fixed? Also how's china for those who have it?i know Ubisoft was suppose to release 2 more games in this series but I haven't any new news them all at, despite of having a q4 release date. Are these still being made? I was planning to hold out till all 3 was release and hoping for a physical release for the trilogy.....  I'm assuming it didn't perform well so they might not continue their plans.

Is Far Cry Classic worth the $3? Loved FC3 and FC:BD, so I don't want to be let down.
I didn't like it. It is very different from the sequels. The sequels all are open world with buying weapons and skill trees while this one is mission based with large areas to explore. It is also a much harder game even on PC I had trouble beating it.

People say Crysis is the real sequel to the original Far Cry and I agree with that.

Huh.. something really weird happened with my account today.

I started playing Assassin's Creed: Unity on disc last night for the first time.  Now, looking at my account, somehow Sony charged me $40 early this morning (while I was still asleep) to purchase the digital version of AC: Unity.

Contacting support now, but has anyone had something like this happen to them?  My first thought was that someone gained access to my account, but since it's a game I just started playing, that seems like too great a coincidence.. perhaps some kind of store-related bug?

Good to know how it works. But in any case, that's not an excuse. If anything it makes it worse, because they didn't need to make it so damn complicated in the first place. This whole snafu is still completely on them.

Well I somehow didn't notice this sooner but apparently GH TV has had the entire on demand library free unlimited plays all weekend through Sunday.

Well do remember that Vita was not the target for PSM and just happened to get it. This was all about their "gaming" Android phones and Android is a haven of piracy. So like with the Vita sony over reacts to all things piracy after the PSP. But of course it doesn't change that they still derped it up when designing it.

Odds of someone hijacking your account and buying the game you just started playing is... well, zero.

Far more likely -- if you're on the game icon, it only takes a couple key presses to buy. Click down, then down, then down, then X, then confirm it. My two year old son almost bought me a game that way once.

While the above seems unlikely [and it is], it could conceivably happen by accident if you're putting the controller away and don't realize your ps4 is on, or if someone just fiddled with it, etc. And as remote as that combination of keypresses sounds, it's far more likely than someone hijacking your account just to buy the game you're playing.

Sony will almost certainly refund and give you the 'one time' speech [which is more just keeping people from abusing it].

PSM was built to work on multiple devices [vita, phones, etc] so there are likely hoops sony had to jump through to create drm that covered all bases.

Yeah, you're probably right - I'm now thinking my baby probably grabbed the controller and mashed buttons for a while this morning while my wife was watching him. I'll have to configure my account to require password at checkout from now on. Sony's chat support put in a refund request for me and gave the speech that you described, so that at least sounds hopeful.

The worst part of it all: through a series of events too long and boring to explain here, this is going to result in my Fallout 4 preorder getting canceled. Ugh.

Thanks for this. I wasn't even really aware of a physical version. Will definitely be supporting this. Especially with a manual. I still find it weird its on the PS4 though instead of 3. Not like its a graphically intesive game

Oh, yeah, if you have a baby, i guarantee that was it. If my son has my vita in his hands for more than 10 seconds, he gets it on, exits whatever game i have suspended, and is in the store. It's a running joke with my wife, because it's happened at least 6 times and the kid doesn't actually get device screen time so i think it's a natural skill of kids 2 and under.

anyone compared the ps4 and ps3 version of Child of Eden? I dont really intend to pick it up since its not cross buy for some stupid reason but it keeps dropping. If it hits 75% off or more maybe i'll snag one version. Just wondering if the PS4 version looks way better or if they're pretty similar. Id rather do PS3 just for the hard drive space

Actually, there is case law that states just the opposite. A business is not legally required to sell at an offered (advertised) price. I don't really care to dig through my law textbooks to find it, so you can choose to take my word for it or not.
When I worked at walmart(ugh) we were always in trouble for having items on the shelf with the wrong price. my understanding was if it was priced that way and the item was there it had to be sold at that price until corrected. someone couldnt come back a week later and say it was cheaper because of a price mistake before and want it. we were fined many times too.

Fined? As in they took money out of your paycheck for that? That sounds illegal, frankly. But what do I know.
