Anyone believe Dying Light will go on sale in the Holiday sale!
Disc version has been cheap ... friend bought a used copy from GameFly for $12 ... but prices may increase in price with the "BIG" expansion coming in February. Best advice is to find somewhere selling the Season Pass still for $20 (like Amazon or GameStop), if they even still exist, now that it's $30 on PSN, and take some time to find a disc at your leisure.

I hope the Christmas flash sale has decent prices, but I doubt it.
Last year, the games were only like 15 off MSRP. Kind of interested in Fallout 4, almost certain it'll be part of the FS.

The Crew says it's The Crew Wild Run Edition, but the sale says it's just the crew.... I'd get it for $15 if it included The Wild Run. Anyone buy this and confirm what version it is?

There's nothing in the description that says it's The Crew Wild Run Edition. That's here and you can see that it's still full price. It links to that bundle since it's one of two bundles that includes the base game.

It just released on PSN this week and it's an Activision game.

They're the PS2 Classics on PS3. The PS4 remasters haven't been released yet.
Man Id love to see the sales on it. Why a 5 year old game is being released digitally now makes me wonder how they would make money off it. I guess people will buy it.

Ah damn, oh well. There's going to be a lot of upset people that thought it was the bundle. This has happened a few times in the past few weeks. Sony is either being shady and doing it intentionally for sales, or is extremely sloppy. Either way, sucks for people that bought it.

So I played AC China, I don't get why some people told me it was flat out horrible. I actually really like it. Beats me.

As for the AC Jack the Ripper DLC that came out today, it's getting interesting. The opening sequence is pretty cool. Love how it's so dark and gritty.

Galak-Z is outstanding but it does not get hard in the slightest until Episode 4. Episode 4 slams the difficulty into hyperdrive and I don't really think in a good way. To me, it stops being fun at Episode 4. Up until then, you had some crazy, tense, swashbuckling asteroids space rogue action.

At Episode 4, every single mother fuck er has 30+ shields and even more health. You do not. That's the point. So now the entire game just becomes camp a lot because you cannot afford to take damage. Their shields take as long to recharge as yours so the hide or try to blast from off screen playstyle becomes king. You can't play it stealth because you don't get cash for upgrades without blasting enemies.

I played on PC and it's good fun. PC already has Arcade Mode which allows you to retry a mission midgame. This FEELS like a crutch compared to the main mode which insists you do all 5 missions in one go for each episode, with a retry only granted if you get lots of collectibles.

But I quit at Episode 4. Even with Arcade Mode it felt so damn unfun. But the game is absolutely still worth it for the first three episodes.
Long winded hyperbole. I'd expect nothing less from you! I didn't find Episode 4 to be considerably more difficult than 3 (3 took me longer to beat in fact). I thought it all ramped up pretty nicely. The only enemies I avoided at all costs are the big mechs that melee you (since one hit takes down your shields and one health). Otherwise most enemies can be taken care of without too much trouble if you get good (I had like 10 crash coins when I beat episode 4). Luck can sort of be a factor as you sometimes don't find the upgrades that you want.

I still don't understand why Sony doesn't make you pay directly with your CC the exact amount to the store, has happened to me so many times.
In addition to a % fee, companies often have to pay a set amount per CC transaction. If it's for a tiny amount, like 10-22 cents they make very little or may even lose money on the transaction.

It's still BS. I can understand mom & pop stores doing things, but I don't know of a single worldwide company other than Sony that doesn't allow transactions under $5. Microsoft used to with their 400 point minimum purchase but ever since they went to straight currency, you can charge the exact cost.

It is really annoying.

I just beat TLOU last night. God that was a good story driven game. Loved it. Bravo to Naughty Dog.
Here, here. Great game. I wanted the new PS4 when I bought mine over the summer, so I picked up TLOU bundle over the Batman bundle. Man was I happy with that purchase.

If you have a CC on file to use either way, isn't it more like a minor inconvenience? It's just an extra few clicks to add $5. I don't see how "really annoying" is an appropriate reaction to this, unless you're just prone to being annoyed at most things.

Leaving a CC on file with PSN is the very last thing you want to do.

It is listed as a bundle set in the PS3 section and does say

"One-time license fee for play on account’s designated primary PS4™ system and other PS4™ systems when signed in with that account. This account may download item to up to 2 PS3™ systems activated with this Sony Entertainment Network account."

That is why it is confusing. Due to the fact it is implied cross buy when it is not..
Fell for the same crap :( nowhere on the description on the store does it list it as PS4. On the left side it sys Playable on PS3/PS4. The list of included items doesn't list the platform of the game, and farther down it includes what you listed above. I think Sony just really messed up with this listing.

I went through chat with support to ask for a refund due to the misleading description. They treated me like I was an idiot but they would do the goodwill gesture of submitting a one time refund request -_-

It's annoying that you have to add $5 even if you're buying something that's a dollar. Don't see how that's difficult to understand. And since 99.9% of the world doesn't revolve around Sony's rules, yes, it is annoying.

I got why you were annoyed the first time. I just don't see how the level of inconvenience adds up to very annoying.

The Banner Saga is out for PS4 on 1/12. The Vita outrage is strong in the comments even though it's still coming with news on that coming soon. They rage before the dev can even reply to answer questions.

http://blog.us.playstation.com/2015/12/16/trine-3-the-artifacts-of-power-launches-december-22nd-on-ps4/

Trine 3 is out for PS4 next week for $21.99 with a 10% PS+ discount. This is basically a fully 3D Trine instead of the old 2.5D games.

God I can't wait for this 3D crap to die. I hate it personally.

haha you know what I mean though. I can't stand 3d movies and don't support it at all. So to see it start coming into games is a real piss off. My eyes are so bad though the 3d doesn't work so I am kind of biased I guess.
That's too bad. I love 3D movies, and pretty much collect all the great ones (mostly Disney's and other studios' digital movies). I have a few converted ones that are very well done in 3D like Guardians of the Galaxy, Mad Max and Jurassic Park World.

I only tried seeing a 3D movie once and I was pretty much having to wear the special glasses over my own glasses just so I could see a normal screen. It was terrible lol. I'm glad to hear there is some that it works very well for at least.

You're completely missing the point. It's not a 3D game, as in red and blue glasses.

3D in games has been around for about five years now and is much smaller than it was at the start, so I don't get this response about an optional feature. You even had to read the actual article to find out about it, so that's impressive.

It does have 3D support.

Yeah the 3D support is what I was getting the confusion from. Trine 2 was the first game I've ever seen that feature in. I didn't read the article so I guess I should have done that first lol.

He didn't mean stereoscopic 3D. He means that the game has 3D movement instead of the characters moving on a fixed 2D path like a side scroller.

I wonder if you stream a PS4 through a PSTV to a 3D enabled TV if you can still do the stereoscopic 3D?

Might have to pick up the PS4 version of Trine 2 to try it sometime. Not so sure about Trine 3, although the vast majority of criticism of the game was it was just short.

Actually, Resogun supports it too, doesn't it? I guess I just never even thought about trying it.

Went ahead and grabbed Armored Core, Shadow Tower & Xevious from the sale. 3 PS1 games for less than the price of 1... that's a solid deal. I know I'll play Armored Core and Xevious... Shadow Tower is my gamble purchase but I'll at least give it a try. Thankfully I still had over $10.50 on my account from my last PSN card purchase. So no need to go out and buy a card or anything and still have $6 left.

I'm hoping for some more PS1 stuff over the next two weeks + the flash sale. Darkstalkers games would be nice but I have a list of many games I'd like to get before they stop selling them or force everyone to upgrade to PS4 versions. I don't care if the old games have trophies or not... I'm starting to get back to feeling like Trophies aren't really a positive in actually experiencing a game.

Sounds like obsessive-compulsive disorder to me. It seems like it's the lack of a perfect $0 balance that's the issue because everyone that is a reg in this thread like you and I spend more than enough on PSN that an extra $4 is not going to go to waste sitting in the account when the next big sale comes around. It's not worth stressing over, though I understand why some people would have no control over stressing over such a trivial amount of money.

I actually love when I need to top off $5, because that means when I buy something again next sale it's like I get a couple dollar bonus discount.

I think it's hilarious anyone in this thread cares, it's not like you don't burn through the remainder of the credit within a month. It's not like you're buying credit for some random company you're not planning on buying from, you're buying credit for a company you spend time on forums stalking the next flash sale so you can buy more games you aren't going to play. excuse me if i don't dry those $5 tears of the people who complain about it every time it happens.

Leaving a CC on file with PSN is the very last thing you want to do.

Meh, the hack was never a big deal in the first place [except the downtime while they upped security] in terms of what the hackers got, and they've put a ton of money into redoing all security since then. Definitely not something I worry about.

My card was hit with fraudulent charges, so yeah, it was a big deal to me. I don't trust them to have learned their lesson at all.

Just to clarify I am not "obsessed" with the $5. I just find it annoying. Like a pet peeve. That is all.

Just like I go only to gas stations that take credit cards because I usually don't carry cash and am too lazy to go inside. Am I obsessed with it? No.

These are trivial things in life, but if someone brings it up, it's a forum so I dared to comment on it since what we do here is talk about stuff. Hell, video games are a trival part of life for that matter, but I guess we are all obsessed with those ... Particularly cheap ones.

But I have learned my lesson to just keep my mouth shut and will never bring it up again.
