I've been wondering about this too. I needed to pick one up as a gift but just never saw anything really go on sale. I guess i didn't miss anything then, and the fact is that there just havent been any sales?

This is one of the main reasons i hate games that only do a single auto save file.. there really is absolutely no reason for that bullshit in this day and age. Especialy considering how buggy games are these days. Let us make our own god damn saves! That sucks man

hmm i thought i had a copy of that but checked amazon and it shows i had not purchased it from there. Im sure i didn't get it at GS, and BBY has terrible order history tracking. Shit i better get a physical copy before the price starts going up on them. Is GS the only place to get it at about 20 bucks? I doubt i'll find a non gut anywhere

Finding all the items and etc in the random dungeons is the part that turned me off... I've done everything else.

There are "main" Chalice Dungeons that aren't random though and I believe you can farm them to your hearts content once you beat the boss. There's an order you can do them in and if you follow it, you shouldn't have a problem gathering materials.

The dungeons are still a pain in the ass but I absolutely destroyed the final boss in the main game because I came out of the final Chalice Dungeon a bit over-leveled.
 
To those curious about the Bloodborne Platinum Theme I got the platinum all the way back in the very beginning of April this year, I have my notification settings set for Sony to be able to contact me(as they have always been set), and I live in California. As of this post I never got my theme. They may be sending them out on batches based on location possibly? Anyone in California get it yet?

I live in Los Angeles and got the platinum in June and have yet to receive the theme.

There are 2 bosses in the deep chalice dungeons I found quite difficult -- though once i finally could beat them, they were easy... while it felt impossible at first, I was just playing wrong and when I beat them I destroyed them. (For example, one boss does a triple attack... and i'd dodge right, dodge right, dodge right... but if you do that, you get smashed... you actually need to dodge right, dodge right, roll forward, as the boss anticipates your 3rd roll right and the third attack is where you'd end up).

Other than that, it's pretty easy I guess? About the same as the others. i didn't find getting items in the chalice dungeons tedious at all -- in fact, I don't even remember grinding them at all. Maybe I did? But not enough to remember it.

Multiple save files / save anywhere completely change how we play games, and makes certain things impossible for game designers to accomplish. So there is merit in limiting it if the developer is trying for those certain mechanics. In most games, I agree it's unnecessary -- in a open world game like Saint's Row, there is no need for tension. But in an arcade game like, say, Nuclear Throne, multiple save slots and save anytime would wreck the game. Same with many 'scary' games. So it's all about the specific game. I don't know about the game in question, haven't played it.

That's because I was on the fence about buying the game, as I mentioned earlier. The problem I had last time was that it wouldn't let you add funds from a credit card; many other people were having the same problem. Since no one mentioned it now I assumed things were okay.

(And it's not just the store I have a problem with; it's Sony in general.)

Moving discussion that is not directly related to the weekly PSN deals out of this thread and into a thread of its own, not only keeps this thread clean and useful, but also lets others find your topics for discussion. There may be several users who want to discuss this free, trophy-related theme, but they may not frequent this deep into this thread or check this thread at all.

You are right, it is kind of related though, so consider this more of a suggestion for maximizing your chance to discuss something important to you rather than a condemnation of your current choice in forum.

I always had to use the computer. Connect either the PSP or Vita to it with a usb cable and use the content manager. To get it off the PSTV, I would assume you just put its memory card in the Vita and do it that way, but there may be an easier way.

Well, if you really want to be pedantic, "tends to revolve around" is not the same as "exclusively about." I also think you're underestimating just how thorough FriskyTanuki is. This thread might focus more on weekly deals since those are most common, but it has also dealt with sales in general, as well as any price drops or promotions that come up, regardless of whether or not they're part of the weekly update. The OP is updated regularly with all the new deals and freebies as they happen, and the Drops along with anything else that pops up are generally posted here by Frisky pretty quickly (in fact, if you went back enough you'd probably find a post from Frisky about the free theme, which would make it relevant by OP's decision and therefore render this entire discussion moot). So the discussion about a PSN deal in the PSN Weekly Deals thread is still on topic, whether the deal is weekly or not. If you want a good example of off-topic discussion, however, then feel free to go check out the PSN Off-Topic thread that already exists and then decide just how bad you really have it.

Oh, and anyone who wants to discuss a game deal of some kind on PSN, but can't be bothered to check the big thread focused on PSN deals first, doesn't deserve to get to. I don't care what kind of pedantic excuse you want to come up with, that's laziness, pure and simple.
