Think about nhl16- if I buy it that means it will be my last hockey game this gen- how is it?
it is the best effort from the dev team so far. It is far from perfect and if the nuances of hockey are your thing, this isn't for you. There's not a lot of neutral zone pressure or dump ins. Oat off the teams play the same style. If you've played EA hockey before then you're going to get that. It's my favorite game since 09 and while it isn't a dramatic step forward, they did put a lot of work into it.

If you're a hardcore hockey fan that needs teams to play a 1-2-2 or left wing lock you probably will not enjoy it as much as someone who has no idea what those terms mean.

I just want to buy it 'cause it has the YES YES YES chant that my idiot friends and I started for the Isles :D (true story)

Anyone play trivial pursuit live? I've heard online can be pretty bad but how is it as a party game with friends at home? Looking for some fun stuff to play on new years.

Is the LittleBigPlanet Vita Marvel Edition the full Vita game plus the Marvel content? Or is it just a separate Marvel game?
It is the full Vita game, 18 of the costumes and 3 different Arcade style games.

I already had the Vita game, so I bought the Marvel Arcade Pack separately, and I've really enjoyed the additional games, which BTW have almost nothing to do with LBP.

Grabbed Splice for PS4 and the Never Alone w/ DLC (even those I had Never Alone from PS+). Many of the other games like Suikoden II I already own on disc and digitally.

Damn i thought for sure Zombie Army Trilogy would be on sale this week since it's on sale on X1 for $25.Looks like my 20% off code is safe this week.

How is

Rorie McIlroy PGA Tour ?

Is this the newest one?

In early college (2004-2006), I loved this with my friends.. but by the 2010 edition and beyond i found it lacking.
In the later ones, I hated the DLC RENT A COURSE model.

Anyone have an honest opinion on RE:R2? I only played the first episode and it was pretty cool.

Does it go downhill or does it get even better?
RER2 gets better. I think it's hands down Crapcom's best work in the RE franchise since RE4. A huge turnaround from the trashy RER1 and overwrought RE6.

If you've shot some zombies and used that dodge button a lot, that's really the game, but it does get some more enemies and just overall fun stuff to muck around with. Includes Raid Mode which is a tedious Borderlands grindfest that scrapes along only because the core shooting is really good. Also includes a really replayable Mercenaries style actiony extra chapter if you like that sort of thing.

Haven't paid attention to this one but it was a reviewer whipping boy. Everyone haaaaaated it but it could just be that the reviewers wanted something to hate on that week.

Is Suikoden 3 new on the store or what?  I don't remember it up or has Konami just finally decided to release most of its backlog after giving up?

It was released on June 23rd. You can see a game's digital release date listed just under the title on the web store.

Astebreed looks pretty darn fun for $8.
It's pretty easy as far as shmups go. I really suck at shmups but even I could beat the game. You have a regenerating shield so that really helped. Looks decently nice for a doujin game. Story is a mix of some silly anime tropes.

I was really hoping The Vanishing of Ethan Carter would be on sale.

Of course I bought Soma 2 days ago LOL... but it's an amazing game so I don't mind.

I highly recommend it. Especially if you loved Alien: Isolation. It's Alien: isolation gameplay meets, BioShock, meets Dead Space setting/feel/atmosphere.

Has nobody on this site heard of Twitch or YouTube?
Sometimes a quick response is faster and more efficient than combing through youtube videos and twitch streams.

I asked a simple question was all.

This is the same response that drives me insane in MMOs. Someone asks a simple or easy answerable question and instead are directed to some strategy guide website.....

In all friggan honesty, in the time it took you to write your response, you could have written a 5-6 word summary of the game

"It's a hamster simulator, where your score is based how fast you navigate the tube maze and wheel"

I think Ethan Carter had one not-so-great sale not too long ago? I'm happy about Soma, but I'm not sure if 33% off is quite good enough. I could definitely wait until next year given all that Inquisition DLC I just bought.

I was really hoping The Vanishing of Ethan Carter would be on sale.

Jeez I saw the game on PC via GOG and it looks fucking gorgeous. Kinda loving the aesthetic.

Shame to hear it's garbage.
The reviews are all over the place, with mostly above average (Which is what a 60-70 is) but very few good reviews.

They speak about how the game is beautiful, artistic with a high concept plot.. but mechanics that fail, and lots of bugs.

Yes. I'm sure it would have taken much longer to specifically look up a review as opposed to waiting for a response to a question on a forum.

Depends on how active the forum is.

Also asking such a question can give additional information not found in a reveal or a more "personal" opinion rather than the professional perspective we've been given so often.

Many of the PSX RPGs I purchased full price were eventually on sale for $1 so I was waiting for Suikoden II to hit that or at least go 75% off. Might pick it up now.
