I've been waiting for Tactics Ogre to hit $5, but it's taking forever so I might bite.

t

I could be wrong about this but don't think the FF games have loading times like CT does.
to my knowledge all the ff ports are terrible on ps1 and suffer from bad load times among other things. People always rec the enhanced ports on other systems or the original versions. Pretty sure the rankings are gba-snes-ps1-mobile versions.

Is the Far Cry 4 season pass worth it, or should I just go with the Valley of the Yetis DLC?

Also noticed Sleeping Dogs is on sale. Just finished it yesterday on my PS4 (beat it previously on PS3) and wow it is indeed a great game.

Now I just need to decide whether to pull the trigger on Just Cause 3 & Dragon Quest or wait for them to drop more :whistle2:k

Which Final Fantasy would you guys say is the best one for someone who's never played a game in the series?
Absolutely FF4 if you can play on psp/vita. It's IMO the best in the series and it's actually very hard to appreciate the ps1 RPGs since the 3D graphics are abysmal. The SNES graphics stay crisp and are timeless

FFX is also a fun one, but 4 is my favorite

On a PS system? Probably X.

7/8/9 are great games but have some aging issues if you're not down with that era of JRPG. The older games have port issues. If you have a 3/DS then the port of 4 would be good as well.

Haha, been so long since I've seen our Stotch that I nearly fell for it.
It was close for me too but I caught myself just in time.

My favorite part of SE sales is getting to talk about the merits of the various FF games.

For the record, I like the story of 13. It's the gameplay that's bad.

Oh, why is FFX for PS4 not on sale?

AHHH! I just noticed there's a dynamic theme for FFX for the PS4!

And it plays To Zanarkard!!!!!

SE, put these in a bundle and put them on sale now!

Persona 3 Portable has been cheaper than $15 before right? I thought it was $7.50 or so a while back.
Like most of the atlus smt moniker titles It's been cheaper multiple times from what I recall. varying between 4-12$ with being less occasionally with plus. Its like a rule for games to go cheaper once I buy them for a more expensive price I swear. Though I'm ok with having a physcial copy. It only cost me around 15$

I like and respect the devs of the SkullGirls games. They're honest, set proper expectations for the fans and cater to their loyal customers.

I just wish I enjoyed the SkullGirl games to support them.
Totally agree. I'm pretty sure I will end up showing my support once Indivisible is released.

Beginner wise I would say 10. Its really easy compared to the others since summons and over drives are quick and simple to fill up and can dominate the majority of the bosses include ones they wern't ment to. Besides that you can use petrify on most enemies to kill them easily as well. Petrify weapons like wakkas tko ball or rikkus grenades work really reliably. Rikku's grenades are better since they multi target of course but at the cost of having to steal them from enemies. Very few enemies are weak to petrify. There's lots and lots of other stuff you can do too but those 2 were the most notable and easiest to pull off and have the earliest access.

Besides that ff6 and ff4 are both pretty easy as well though ff4 requires some minor grinding since the mc gets a class change early on in the game and is set back to level 1. ff6 wise its got as many things to exploit as 10 maybe more. Charm even works on the final boss so you can make him kill himself which is easily the most amazing thing I have ever seen in a game.

10 and 6 offer pretty good tutorials to ease the player in as well.

most ff games are pretty easy to play though. Out of the ones I have played I would say 7 or 9 were the toughest though that has more to do with over powered enemies at times while for the most part you can coast through the game with steiners sword attacks vivis magic or enemy magic in ff7 like matra missles.

I can't bring myself to spend $10 on a PSP game when I just spent $9.99 on Skullgirls presumably for PS4 and Vita.
should of just bought it last last year when it was 4$ new from amazon. They kept taking orders for like 5-8 months.

Why do I expect that Konami is going to take Suikoden 2 being a top 10 selling Playstation classic in 2015 and make the false connection that they should low print run everything and then make sure no one can play it for almost 20 years and just hear about how good it is to drive eventual sales.

So for anyone that has the Witness are all the puzzles just drawing lines on graph paper? The gt review says they limited what they showed on purpose, but every puzzle looked like it was the same.
In its most simplest form, all of the puzzles consist of making a line through (usually) a maze of sorts. That is the underlying core mechanic of all the puzzles.

However, the game gradually introduces different elements to put a twist on that simple mechanic. Some require you to make a line that meets a certain requirement and this requirement can vary greatly. This creates a wide variety of "types" of puzzles. Then some puzzles use the environment around you, some use a matter of perspective, and some use auditory cues to help you solve them. And if one puzzle stumps you, you can explore the island and solve other puzzles. Often times this will help you figure out solutions to older puzzles or puzzles in a completely different area.

So far, I've solved 156 puzzles in about the six hours I've played of it and I've never felt the gameplay become annoying, frustrating or repetitive. And that's saying something for a puzzle game.

Does Just Cause 3 run as bad as people comment all over the web? Interested, but really don't know if I should pull the trigger or just wait for the patch 1.03

It ran like absolute shit for the first few weeks, but I just hopped in and it seems to be better. I've already conquered all of the provinces, so that limits my ability to really test it out to be sure. The biggest issues around launch were crashes and long load times for challenge missions. The framerate wasn't the thing that caused me to not rate it as highly as I would've otherwise, but it didn't help when coupled with the bigger issues. It's probably a more solid experience now.

How are the load times?

What is Corpse Party: Blood Drive like?
I remember playing through the original years ago, but I heard the new one is Episodic or something.

So far
Far Cry 4 Gold (Finally!, I drove to ever Walmart in a 30 mile radius on Black Friday and no one had the Complete Edition. When I was flipping yesterday I learned the complete edition is just a voucher in a box so.. this works)
Far Cry 2 Complete

Wishing I got Retro City Rampage DX but didn't want to add $5 for the .25 I needed.

Debating
Sleeping Dogs PS4
Thief 4 PS4 (played it on PS3, was so lagged)
pass up thief man, horrible game. Horrible

Yea, I played the entire PS3 version live on stream the week it came out.

I was laughing my ass off at how far behind the subtitles were behind the dialogue.

For some reason, as bad as it was.. I wanted it for PS4 ever since, which is why I even brought it up.

The other was Soul Suspect, which I've already grabbed (and enjoyed)

Runs fine on ps4. Load times about 20 seconds if you die.

As always thanks for the input guys

I do however want to get sleeping dogs, I tried it on PS3 and really enjoyed it. At that time though I was really eyeing a pc and wanted to enjoy it on pc. Never purchased that pc, but $10 on ps4, I'm going to bite

Played it on Ps3, is the definitive version really that much better?
Yes and no.

No, it is exactly the same game, nothing is new except a very nice looking graphical upgrade and solid frame rate.

Yes, it gave me an excuse to replay the game, I got more trophies, and I just really loved this game.
