I guess wasnt really rushed I guess i just felt that the ending kinda negated every other choice you made in the game up until your final one was my only gripe. Still an amazing game. And the soundtrack is awesome idc what anyone says.
Love the soundtrack, have that playlist on my phone and Spanish Sahara by Foals is my current go to song.

Any Far Cry 4 fans out there? Still trying to decide if the season pass is worth $15 or is Yetis alone for $7 the better move?

Played the Beta for the Division this weekend. Might be just me, but I got really bored after a while. Don't know what it is, but it just wasn't really that fun. It is a beta so maybe the final version is better, but even after playing with 4 friends and fooling around (dark zone mostly), we ended up only playing for a while and going back to other games.

Also, finally caved in and bought the Yeti dlc for FC 4. Now just gotta open the game

I got very bored too playing with a friend and his brother. It seemed very generic and I don't think a full release will change that. I also though the streets around looked very, very generic and samey. Also didn't help in the one mission the main baddie seemed generic and just had a lot more health plus some extra weapons. I may buy it to play with these two guys, but I myself put it on the wont play by myself mindset. Also the weapons/armor/blah blah blah seemed generic and samey as well. It's all about random stats and there doesn't seem to be much to get me excited.

I didn't care for it much either. I could get it from BB for $15 off + 30% off + $10 back, but even then I don't think I will.

First of all, this game should be bundled with Part II, which I'm guessing most people haven't played as it is on the PSP. You can get it on the Vita, but there are a number of steps to do so. Not like a regular purchase.

There are plenty of copies for VC out there available for the PS3 version for about $11.

Also, this doesn't really look "remastered."

If you've never played this game, worth your time, especially if you like SRPGs. While it is one of the greats, I doubt it has aged well.

Wouldn't be surprised if this dropped in price quick.

idk either.
You can also get the PC version which is pretty much the same version with 1080p and 60fps(assuming you can run it) for $5 regularly. Imo, it didn't age all that badly. The game still looks good enough on the PS3.

They should have also localized 3 and made it in to one $60 package. :whistle2:(

http://www.amazon.com/Valkyria-Chronicles-Remastered-Sega-America/dp/B01B61X1UC/

The pre-order for Valkyria Chronicles Remastered has already dropped to $28.49, so that's 25% of the 20% discount Prime members should've gotten if it were not listed as a book.

Maybe we'll get lucky and it will wind up at half off like most book pre-orders do before they fix it.

For someone who is a fan of the series (VC was my first PS3 game and VC II is one of my treasured, but few PSP games) I had not idea a part three existed.

Does anyone remember if you have to vote for the particular game to get the discount when it doesn't win?
Or was it the other two are on ps+ discount automatically.

Broforce is bound to win but the cactus game might work for me if the price is right.

Didn't vote last time since all 3 looked unentertaining to me.

Wat? They only did the voting thing one time.

Last time the others got a mediocre launch discount I believe.

Hopefully dumb dumbs choose better than last time.

Not sure about the others but at least Broforce is a pretty well known game and not some unknown POS.
None of them are unknown pieces of shit. They're all good games at least.

Nintendo does the thing where you only get discounts for grabbing a demo or beta. Sony rarely does that.

They picked the best game of the bunch last time.

Grow Home was not particularly great and was janky as all get out on the controls. Armello has a a better PSN rating and an equal Meta and I don't think it's ever gone on sale. Grow Home had at least one like two or three months later.

Grow Home was a great game that people still talked about by the end of the year while the other two released and were never heard from again.

But last time they weren't and for whatever dumb reason the cheapest game won, Grow Home. Zero logic to that, especially when Zombie Vikings looked like a blast and was three times the price.
They picked the better game. Pretty good logic in that. I'm sorry you didn't like it, but that doesn't mean those that voted for it are idiots.

I think you're the only person on here who even liked the game! And of course the other two were never heard from again, they reviewed well and no one bought them because the loser discount was like 10% or something stupid. It's the fate of all indies that don't find immediate traction and don't go on sale.

PS+'s model is built around value proposition. Voting for a $7 game to get for free as opposed to a $15 and $20 game is idiotic. Especially when the other games feature online components be it multilayer or co-op.

Not to mention that at least Zombie Vikings had a full trophy set as opposed to Grow Home's pathetic list. Again, a much better VALUE at the end of the day, unless of course ZV or the other game were complete garbage, which neither are.

Anyone with two brain cells to run together would know that even if they thought GH was a GotY candidate it eould still be better just to pay the $7 for it if you really wanted it.

Salt is not good for you.

I voted for Grow Home because it sounded like a game I would play. Not a huge fan of the type of games Armello and Zombie Vikings are.

Sorry. Dont care the difference in price when I realistically know theres only one Ill play. And its the one I voted for.

Edit: as a side note, I didnt like the short time I had with it. But I can see why people would have liked it.

We had this discussion back when these games came out. Once again I'm going to vote for the game I'm actually interested in playing. I don't care what the price difference is. If I wanted all 3 it would have been a different matter.

It's idiotic to think that a game's price determines its quality and value. It's not a rare thing that cheaper games are better than their more expensive counterparts, so I don't know why that couldn't be the case here.

Since you're calling me a brain dead moron, I'll post my reasoning so you can shit on me further:

Armello: Multiplayer-focused board game. It's an easy pass.

Grow Home: Fun, inventive 3D climber platformer with a great look to it that I ended up beating both the PC and PS4 versions.

Zombie Vikings: New brawler from the Stick it to the Man team, which was a neat spin on an adventure game. This game didn't seem to be doing much besides having a more humorous story than the typical brawler. Would've been fine with that if it won.

The biggest problem all three had if they were to lose is that Metal Gear Solid V came out the same day, so there's an easy choice for where to put any amount of money if you needed a game to keep you busy for a while.

The losers were a sizeable 30% off on day one, which is the same as Axiom Verge, N++, and Rocket League had for their first sales a during the holidays last year. If those that voted for them didn't buy them when they released, then they obviously didn't have much interest in it anyway.

Just vote for what you want like I'm very likely voting Action Henk as I wanted to play it when it came out even though it likely wont be the most popular vote. All 3 look like fun games at least.

I never said ZV was a better game based on the price. You're twisting my words. I said it was a much better VALUE PROPOSITION to get for free. $20>$10, Co-op and single player>single player, Full trophy list with a platinum>gimped trophy list.

Nice to hear.

And sorry if it sounded like I was saying any of these games were shit. I was just saying, for people that think indie games are all crap, that at least Broforce wasn't IMO.

If we're talking about indie POS games, I'm looking at Deer God on X1.

Anyway, it just bothers me that people automatically cringe at the fact that indie games are given away. Look at Rocket League? Hell, what about Soma or The Witness? Not that those last two were PS+, just examples of quality indie games. I'd rather have a great indie game over a lame retail game any day.

I never said a single thing about you saying Zombie Vikings was a better game because of the price. I was pretty much responding to the first two sentences as a hypothetical thing:

"PS+'s model is built around value proposition. Voting for a $7 game to get for free as opposed to a $15 and $20 game is idiotic."

Basing the worth of any game being added to the PS+ lineup solely to the price and not any other aspect of the game has lead us to the current situation where there is an endless amount of complaints every month that we're not getting retail games like them being on a physical disc means a damn thing about the quality of the game.

My value proposition for PS+ is all about the deals on games. I save way more on deals throughout the year to more than make the $50 cost worth it and as a result, I don't have to obsess about what games are added each month to feel like there's any worth to the service as a whole. I really don't care at all about the MSRP of the games being added because it's the quality that matters in the end. At the end of the year, I'm not going to trumpet the stupid "We got $1100 dollars' worth of games for PS+ this year!" claims like it means anything. I can look back and see that my Game of the Year was free for PS+ to know that that's a much more meaningful thing to happen as a result than pure MSRP determining the worth of the entire thing.

If you want to break down games into purely objectively feature lists, you could do that to make an argument that it might have been a smarter choice for some to choose a certain game over another. That's just looking at the games out of context because you're trying to remove the very thing that makes games worth playing, which is enjoyment and quality. I don't think that a game having more features or buzzwords in its description makes it a better choice and discrediting others for being more concerned about enjoyment than the features list or price is backwards.

I've played assault android cactus on PC and it's a really fun twin stick shooter. The characters are weird and so is the story but it's a fun game. Wouldn't be upset if that won.

That would be fantastic since I've been waiting to start it until I got the DLC.
Good plan! I received the Platinum before November, and sold the Exclusive Theme for $32 on eBay so I could buy the DLC no problem. I'll just continue to wait on a sale. It's a fantastic game even if you go through the story without the DLC.

I just figure that I'm not likely to go back to it again down the road just for the DLC. So even if none of it happens to be integrated in to the campaign I should still just do it all at once.

Good call. Some people have mentioned to do the DLC prior to grinding and finishing the game because you might be OP by that point. I'm past level 200 so maybe I fall into that category...
