There's always the chance that Techland will give season pass holders their next DLC offering (which they've said they're working on) for free. They're crazy like that.

I was disappointed in The Following. The co-op was horrible with disconnects every few minutes, although maybe it's improved since launch. And they nerfed all melee weapons, and added insta-spawning endless viral waves everywhere. It's not a tough DLC by any means, just a really annoying one. Oh, and every mission consists of you driving from one extreme of the map to the other, and you have to go the long way since there's an unclimbable mountain range for no apparent reason that's stuck right in the middle of the map. And don't get me started on the ending.

The buggy is pretty fun, and shotguns are ridiculously fun once you get some Legendary levels, though.
Does this only apply to The Following, or was the base game affected, too?

Anybody play that Drawn to Death game? I was able to redeem the code this morning, and judgement through the tutorial. There are currently 7 people online, this doesn't seem like its gonna be very good
7 for me too, but I have potato connection and never had a chance to play.

Insta-spawning endless viral waves sounds actually quite normal for Harran city.

And high end melee weapons NEEDED a nerf. But low ones needed a buff too. You were either playing with nerf bats and rolled up socks or Lu Bu's death stick. The whole leveled loot system should have been scrapped. It ruined Dead Island and would have ruined DL if DL weren't so damn good otherwise.

At LEAST make good gear spawn based on good locations to hunt for it, not based on your level. That worked for Dead Rising.

With Evolve getting so cheap and no one buying it, I wouldn't be surprised if it was a ps plus title soon. They would probably jump on it too since it would bring back a user base and get some people to buy the season pass. I would play it since it looked alright, but I just don't want to spend any money on it.

it really is the perfect game for ps plus, gutted base game and plenty of dlc

But not normal for an isolated mountain range. In the city it made sense for virals to come from the manholes or from buildings. In the wilderness it makes no sense for virals to spawn from cliff edges. You can test it yourself.

In any case, I found The Following much more annoying than the base game, which sucks because I was looking forward to playing it.

Broforce has won the vote to play for March.

I voted for Assault Android Cactus and knew is wasn't going to win.

Curious to see how much they charge for Action Henk and Assault Android Cactus next week with the 30% plus discount.

Both of the latter two games are 14.99 on Steam, so I think they'll be the same on PSN.

That's what my son wanted to win. If it was on Vita I probably would have wanted it over the others... though to be honest I think all three looked pretty boring. It's kind of a boost to me that Action Henk didn't win as I might have been tempted to download it and try it despite knowing it's just not my kind of game.

Same with me. I already planned on buying Broforce, so having Cactus free would have been nice, but I'll still buy it with the discount.

Good thing I was interested in all 3 games, I'm happy to get Broforce. I really want Action Henk too, so I might get it depending how much it is.

Forgive me, but how is putting indie games on PS Plus a good thing for the developers?

I get that a subscription service would be good for Sony, andthe consumer is getting games for cheap. But the only way I can think that it's good for the developer is by generating a lot of word of mouth.

Sony pays them to put their game on PS+. If the developer gets paid more by Sony than the game would have sold otherwise it winds up being better for them.

Word of mouth is very powerful. HBO thanks pirates for watching Game of Thrones and making it spread like wild fire. A lot of people on 4chan think they were the cause of it becoming the behemoth that it is today.

If the developer is also the publisher then it is a guaranteed revenue stream at launch (Sony pays). So a big payday up front. If the game is being published by someone other than the developer then it would depend on the agreement the publisher and developer made if there were aditional profits to be made by a PS+ let alone if there was any profit sharing from regular non-PS+ purchases.

In some cases even indie games that appear to be self published are farmed out to 3rd parties to port. So in that case the developer most likely gets nothing beyond the contracted amount to do the port. That's why some games don't get bug fixes that need them badly (like Dragon Fin Soup) because the agreement between the third party that ported the game and the original creators end up in turmoil despite the PS+ deal.

In any event, it can be good $$$ for a self-publishing indie to just go PS+. That will ultimately push them up any rankings for popular games and attract some attention from the non PS+ gamers which can pay off in profits. Expecially in stuff like Rocket League where it's completely dependent on a large online userbase to make the game fun and you get that very quickly by being PS+ and you make money at the same time due to popularity.

Look at Rocket League. It wouldn't be as big of a thing as it is right now if it weren't for PS+ creating thousands of people that could spread it around to others. Plus, they make monetary deals with Sony to put it on PS+.

Yeah, Rocket League has made I believe over $30 million dollars due to word of mouth from PS+ users.

Some new videos I uploaded this weekend for Rocket League's new maps and Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare 2:

That sounds accurate. Cuckchan is upstream of a LOT of modern culture. Don't know if it still is, I'm too far behind the game, but it used to be the king, with reddit and the like just a bunch of autists playing with the runoff from the chans.

It makes no sense but Rocket League somehow became a top seller on PSN despite being given for free to anyone who was paying for online, which is theoretically the ENTIRE PLAYER BASE.

It doesn't sound logical but they made it work.

I have no doubt that all of us would be stunned if we had statistics on the percentage of clueless PS+ users that don't download the free games.

So I decide to look up what had happen to that PSN SOE Settlement last year. And this was the results:

Eligible Settlement Class Members who sent in a timely and valid Claim Form by the deadline of September 4, 2015 for any wallet balance payment, game and online service benefits, will be sent their benefit on or before March 2, 2016. Eligible Settlement Class members who submitted a timely and valid Claim and supporting documentation for an identity-theft-reimbursement payment under the settlement will be sent the benefit after March 2, 2016.

PSN game, theme, and online service benefits will be distributed by sending voucher codes by email or by mail. The SOE “Station Cash” benefit will be credited to your Daybreak account. Wallet balance payments and identity-theft-reimbursement payments will be mailed. Please note that reimbursements will be sent only when the reimbursement amounts are final under the terms of the settlement. Please be patient.

So those that filled out the form and qualify should be getting something soon.

I think the problem is that the Playstation 4 owners who are uninformed that you don't have to actually download their free games, just "buy" them to download later at their own leisure. On a similar note, you can also buy games on platforms you don't own if you go onto the Playstation web store.

Still cant make up my mind about The Walking Dead Escapist game. I love TWD but im so on the fence about this game. Any of you get it or play it on steam that can recommend it or not?

I was in the same decision making boat... since there wasn't enough feedback I figured it would be worth it to just wait and get it cheaper later.

Really hoping for a good weekly deal this week. I, and all others who got a black friday PS4, have a 20% off coupon for the entire cart for one ps store transaction. Will probably cave and get rocket league, but I'm hoping for some good, good games discounted as well

Damn, knew Life is Strange would pop up again for $10. Oh well, I'm fine with my limited edition.

How long before Everybody's Gone to the Rapture hits PS Plus? Only a matter of time at this point.

Really wishing the Bloodborne bundle was on sale, instead of just the base game.  Would probably pick it up at that discount.  Still wish the game had a demo...
