Anyone else see xbone gold line up? The Wolf Among Us, Sunset Overdrive, Dead Space, and Saints Row 4. Sony has not given a line up like that in I don't know how long. Definitely not in the last year though. They should just giveaway Knack already.

Sony is killing Microsoft right now and there's no need for them to spend however much money it costs for them to release AAA games on +. That being said, I think the last few months of + games have been pretty lackluster, at least for PS4.

I love how Knack is somehow the panacea for all of the PS Plus "woes."

That game is as mediocre and forgettable as they come.

I love the PS4, but Xbox Games with Gold is way better than PS Plus games. The lineup you listed... I had to Google to check because it sounded crazy, but it's true.

TWAU and SO are two exceptional games (the latter being my GOTY for 2014; I own both on disc but will be selling those copies right away). Dead Space was a classic horror AAA on the last-gen and Saints Row IV is great (if you're a fan of the series).

I would argue that it's probably a lot better for the casuals than people like us since all those games have been extremely cheap many times.

A lot of hardcore gamers, myself included, probably bought these on physical disc at launch though. I mean who in their right mind wouldn't have bought Dead Space at launch except casual wimps?

With the exception of TWAU, I have all the others physical.
But with full game installs required on X1, I'm still happy with the line up so I can go digital. My cheap ass likes to keep his ass on the couch when I play a game. ;)

If not buying games at launch makes one a casual wimp, you're on the wrong website, buddy.

Me, survival horror is my favorite type of game and I still didn't get it at launch. I waited a couple months and got with a b2g1 at GS. Guess I'm a casual wimp for waiting.

Im not quite sure where to ask this so I thought maybe you all would know here.  My friend and I want to play Rainbow Six Siege together online obviously, but would our only option be to play with other random strangers.  We, admittedly, are not very good at shooters so we would prefer to play just us 2 without others making us look really bad and im sure holding them back.  Is there any options for this in the game or does it require a team of 5?  Thanks!

If anyone buys Bully or Manhunt please post some impressions here. Also, no Yakuza 5 for PS4?
I played bully on the 360 and it was fun. no idea on the ps version.

Last flash sale we had was like a year ago or something. Sony seems to be refusing to do them anymore. The games were nothing that amazing either. A lot of ps1 and ps2 games. I am happy they did it, but it was not like there was $1 old retail ps3 games like Portal 2.
portal 2 was 2$ last year or the year prior I believe. Got it for my niece and sister.

Yes, you can set it to "lone wolf" which will not ad random people to your squad. The game doesn't scale down, though, so it will be tougher with just two of you.

Really? That would be awesome. So we can both do "Lone Wolf" together? Sorry if it sounds like a dumb question but it is called "Lone" wolf :)

I'd rather have killzone 4
A fantastically overlooked game.

you need impressions for games that are a decade old?
I do, after a decade my memory isn't the best at how the games play today. Us PS3 gamers never got bully scholarship edition.

(Not directed at the quoted post, just a point I'm making)

As a new Xbox One owner, their deals seems horrible. This big spring sale this week literally has "Sale" prices higher then retail MSRP.

So Xbox one is for exclusives only for me.

You don't like the games given to PS +, guess thats tough, I like them. You like GwG games better, head over there. See how silly opinionated "we deserve AAA games" argument holds up when we think about more then ourselves?

post of the year

I really wish Sony and Microsoft would stop giving away free games and instead offer something like monthly free credit to spend in their store or a something like a pool of free games to choose from each month, etc.  I'm sure it would only complicate things and probably get just as many or more complaints so I understand why they don't (let alone whatever financial reasons they have for their current programs).  I know i'd be happy with only one free game a month if it was my choice rather than 4 or 6 games that I may or may not care about.  And it would be nice to not hear people complain about the game selections each month.  Oh well...

There's no option that could ever exist for PS+ or XBL GWG that would keep people from not complaining about whatever is offered.

I subscribe to PS+ for the deals and additional discounts, which more than make up for the cost. The games are the icing on top, so I don't get bent out of shape when games I don't like or aren't interested in are offered. I wish Microsoft was more into the idea of sales, promotions, and such so I had a reason to buy more things from them.

Or if they actually had games to buy....

I didn't even know that show was popular enough to warrant a second season. It's kind of defeated by its own premise, a superhero who loses his powers - so it's basically a cop show. Then again, Batman's not a superhero either and that doesn't stop him from being popular.

I just got my xbox today so I have both. I've never had a dog in the race going back to original consoles I enjoy them all but from what I've seen Ps4 will definitely be my main due to flash sales and regular sales being better as far as I have seen.

A lot of times the xbox version is a few bucks cheaper than the ps4 when physical so my xbox will be for exclusives and older games that end up at 15 bucks physical when ps4 version sits at 19.99

Yeah, it does sound silly that the game calls it that :p

Basically, one of you adds the other to the squad, then set it to lone wolf when you start up the terrorist hunt and it will just be the two of you. I don't remember what button makes it lone wolf (it should say on the screen somewhere in small print) because I'm rarely the party leader.

Why is everyone so serious? It was a joke. But I do think a lot of real gamers would have bought physical Dead Space long before digital took off and any deep discounts on digital began.

The comics were pretty interesting but I see they had to throw a token minority in to replace Pilgrim which is just so typical it's not even worth being annoyed by anymore.

Easy way to tell someone is a closet racist? Statements like that.
That's cute, really. If you can tell me one reason besides a "need" for diversity(i.e, we want this to appeal to a different demographic based on viewership of a particular network/service because the actual comics feature 3 white main characters and a large number of the characters in general are white) then back it up. Obvious attempt at cash grab is obvious.

How about maybe they had a bunch of actors/actresses audition for the role and the one that they liked the best happened to be a different race? It's not like race is central to that character.

If you want to believe that is how media works I won't try and dissuade you. I won't post anymore about it on this thread, if you want to continue this discussion via PM feel free.

I'm good thanks. I don't need PM's about you wishing for the old days where 99% of the characters in media were white. I much prefer getting to see a more diverse landscape in my media.

better get it before it goes back to $30. If mobas arent your thing then don't get it. Otherwise do. I play on both consoles and soon pc. It's addicting and fun.
Yeah I've plaed league on the pc a fair bit so I know my way around a MOBA. I'm not familiar with Smite but having access to all of the characters for life sounds like a pretty good deal at 50% off. Especially since I'm not likely to ever play enough to realisitically unlock them all for free using in game points.

aww wish the corpse party games were released on anything but handheld =/
If you don't want to invest in a full vita (or only like gaming on a TV), buy a PSTV, they are occasionally super cheap and can play all 3 Corpse Party games. There are also a lot of good visual novel games on the vita that are compatible with the PSTV like zero escape and danganronpa. The PSTV bundle with the DS3, lego movie game, and 8 GB card is currently $60 at gamestop.com.

I have to wait for a spend x for $x back or 20% discount code.

My top request for PS2 to ps4 is the Burnout series games, till then, I didn't realize there were 2 psp games. $10 a piece, not bad, but I know I'll over buy and I so very rarely play my vita. Last hardcore vita time was when I went on holiday.

Sweet! Looking forward to the Ratchet and Clank re-make. I really enjoyed the first Ratchet and Clank game. I would really enjoy a re-designed, cleaned-up version.

people loved bully but I think a lot of that is attributed to nostalgia

Imo if you didn't grow up on it then wait for a really steep discount or skip it
I disagree. Maybe it was "better" at the time, or maybe not, but I was already 25 when it came out, and I still really enjoyed it. I don't know if it's aged well, but I don't think you have to be in high school to have fun with it. It was targeted at adults.
