That's so true, it really is sickening. Now, if you'll excuse me... I have to go back to playing Party Hard, where you are a serial killer murdering houses full of innocent people.
Is that really what the game is about? I saw it under New Releases and just assumed it was about drugs. I'm hoping it's ultraviolent cartoony like Hotline Miami and not realistic.

It's about a guy trying to sleep, but is awoken at 3 AM when the loud party next door gets raucous. So he goes over and kills them all for disturbing him. It's not even that violent, as it's a stealth puzzle game where you try to figure out how to kill everybody without being spotted and arrested.

the last tinker 10 bucks

these are games I eventually want to get, do you guys think these will get any better sales in my lifetime or should I snag them up at these prices?I
The LOOT Action-Packed bundle was on sale for $5 three weeks ago or so (I purchased 3/20)

Included are three fast-paced, action games:
The Last Tinker™: City of Colors (PS4™), Velocibox (PS4™ and “PS Vita”), and Fluster Cluck (PS4™)

Also included are two Dynamic Themes for PS4™:
The Last Tinker™ PS4™ Dynamic Theme, and Velocibox Dynamic Theme

Yeah I watched a gameplay video just now and it looks pretty entertaining. From the previous poster's description, I thought you had to stalk people outside of their homes and murder them at night or something. I'm glad it's on my radar now, I'll definitely pick it up in a sale.

I just did some throwback thursday gaming

I played silent hill 1 for 2 hours

I forgot what it's like to wander around aimlessly for hours at a time accomplishing very little but opening a lot of doors

ahh the good old days

And we will not hear one peep in protest.

I dunno how many of you remember the early days of the internet but what you are describing here is an exact rip off of a viral animated short called killer bean (might have been called killer bean 2)

a bean gets woke up and kills all the disco beans next door with guns for waking him up lol

This game features people, not beans. Completely different.

The cutscenes in the campaign seem to put a darker spin on things (at least in the four levels I've played), but the game itself is very silly with the violence, with lots of humorous touches. If you can handle Hotline, you can definitely handle this game.

Beans are people too!

Oh, now I understand Donald Trump's concern about Mexico. He heard about beans killing everybody next door and thought they were talking about beaners.

(Look, if you think this is racist, too bad. It's just a play on words. And it's not particularly funny but I did put a little effort in to it.)

Yeah, Party Hard is much less disturbing than Hotline Miami.

It's also not nearly as good, but it has some pretty cool touches. The cutscenes are all really terrible, though. I think all the voice actors (as well as the writers) are not native English speakers. Would have been better off with only a bare minimum text setup and then stringing the levels together.

The AI is also really batshit sometimes, which can make it frustrating.

"exact rip off"

Ha, I remember the killer bean thing. It was around when the stick figure fighting flash movie was around. The ending of the bean one though. He should have been faster.

  • Styx - “Renegade”
  • Styx - “Too Much Time On My Hands”
  • PACK: Fleetwood Mac/Stevie Nicks 01 (Removing 6/6 songs and pack offer in addition to all songs.)
  • Fleetwood Mac - “Dreams”
  • Fleetwood Mac - “Gold Dust Woman”
  • Fleetwood Mac - “Landslide”
  • Fleetwood Mac - “Rhiannon”
  • Stevie Nicks - “Edge Of Seventeen”

If anyone cares, Dead or Alive: Core Fighters has the majority of its roster unlocked until the end of the weekend. You can play most of the characters including the latest DLC ones for free except for Naotora.

Any opinions on Ghost Recon: Future Soldier? I like stealth game play and third person / cover shooters. Not going to play MP (probably dead anyway) or co-op much or at all. I've always had a 'meh' vibe from this game (and most all Tom Clancy titles from the PS3 / 360 gen, but did enjoy Pandora's Tomorrow and Chaos Theory before then).

Funny, I'm definitely picking up Ultatron but for the price of that and a Royale w/ Cheese I'm hesitant on Future Soldier.

Stories the Path of Destinies is calling my attention pretty bad. Seems like the sort of game I would enjoy....decisions decisions

I enjoyed it. But I enjoyed most TC titles on the ps3. Nice future tech and control of your team.

Details on the PlayStation Exclusive gear in the 4/12 Destiny update.

http://blog.us.playstation.com/2016/04/08/playstation-store-marchs-top-downloads/

The Top Sellers list for PSN for March is out now. The Division topped the PS4 list with Salt & Sanctuary having a great debut at #2 and Rocket League rounding out the top three. Both ways of getting the first episode of Hitman made the Top 20 that is nice to see. Alice: Madness Returns tops the PS3 list with Naughty Dogs' games and Minecraft following right behind it. The questionable Jak & Daxter Collection was the top Vita game for March with XCOM charting at #6 for new releases. Bully and San Andreas top the PS1/PS2 Classics list with RE2/3 and the Fatal Frame games following them.

Thanks for the input. I was going to look into what Ultratron was and your description of it itself pretty much sold me on it. And I dunno why I get the meh feeling on the Clancy games but this one interested me the most (and also the psp Endwar game which I picked up a sale or two ago). I think I'm at least moved to probably on this one.

There's a Full Game Trial for PS+ people that lets you play it for an hour if you want to see it for yourself.

just my opinion but that 1 dollar alice was one of the best deals of ps3 history

looks like a lot of people snagged it which is great to see

Umm...so i started up battleborn and I'm sitting in a queue for 30 min. Who at gearbox thought this was a good idea for a beta? I'm going to close this app and not even bother buying the game. Not good for a first impression.

Only took me a few minutes to get into a match. Try checking the wait time listed next to each mode.

Thanks for that link to the full game trial Frisky! Def buy for me. Can anyone recommend any games that may give me that "nostalgic feel"? I havnt delved into the PSN market and the Xbox Live Arcade was one of my favorite things about my 360. Do the retro games (like life force or bubble bobble) ever go on sale? Likewise can I find ANY RPGs on the market? Like old school inspired RPGs (like Cthulhu saves the world or Doom and Destiny)?

Ultratron is great. Somewhat reminds me of PomPom games (Alien Zombie Megadeath, Mutant Storm Empire, etc.) like Titan Attacks does. If you like twin stick shooters, I believe it is well worth the $2.50.

I really wish they had used the full screen for Ultratron, it seems way too crowded, especially on the Vita. Very hard to see what's going on. The dead screen area really doesn't help the game at all.

Yeah, it's not perfect or the bestest twin stick shooter. There is info in the dead space like shields and smart bombs remaining, but they could have redesigned that for more screen area. Mutant Storm Empire had dead space and smaller arenas also. I played a bit on the PS4 and a bit on the Vita, and it is a little hard to differentiate sometimes between dots, bullets, and enemies on the Vita (but I did get further on it). But for quick hit gaming at $2.50, I enjoy it.

I'm liking the Vita love cagbros. April 19th we will see Axiom Verge on the Vita and would love to hear everybody's thoughts on it. It is cross-buy so lots of peeps will be able to enjoy it since most of you guys received it from PS+. I purchased it Day One and have had a blast playing it, great atmosphere and the music is incredible.

The Arcade Archives games have gone on sale sparingly, but it has happened once or twice.

As for RPGs, there are some:

Child of Light (Grandia-style battle system)

Citizens of Earth (Earthbound clone)

Costume Quest 2 (Paper Mario-style battle system)

Dragon Fantasy: The Black Tome of Ice (FF/DQ/CT-style RPG)

Pier Solar and the Great Architects (Genesis-style RPG)

Saturday Morning RPG (Paper Mario-style battle system)

I came here to post the same thing. Best $2.50 I've spent on games this week and that's including Steam purchases.

If you want old-school RPG, get Divinity. It was on sale for $24 a while back, will probably go on sale again at some point.

So I've never had plus because it wasn't needed for ps3 and I don't play multiplayer

is it worth it for solely the discounts on games for a year?

since we don't keep the free games unless we stay subscribed I won't take that into account as much
nope. plus rarely gets discounts on games already on sale. Unless you want the free games or cloud save plus isn't worth it. Now if this was a year or two ago things would be different.

You'll easily recoup more then $50/yr with PLUS and FLASH sales.
flash sales don't get plus discounts as do most sales in general

Ignoring all this sony rarely has flash sales these days and even when they do it is either not very good price wise or not very good games. Or games I already had.
