http://blog.us.playstation.com/2016/06/06/50-new-games-join-the-playstation-now-lineup/

50 new games are being added to the PS Now sub with update tomorrow to push it to 400 games available. A special sub offer will be going live alongside it:

Second, we’re announcing a special discount on the 3-Month Subscription (a savings of 33%) that will be available in the U.S. and Canada starting tomorrow and ending July 11, 2016. The discount will apply only to the first subscription period purchased during the promotion, and subsequent periods will be charged at the full price of $44.99 for a 3-Month Subscription. Full details and eligibility requirements are available here.
That means it'll be $29.99 for three months ($10/month), which sounds like a good way to try out the service for a while besides the current free seven day trial.

Balthier was awesome, Gambits were pretty neat (plays itself ;)) I remember grabbing some treasure at the beginning tho that meant I couldn't get some op zodiac spear or something late game, so ill have to remember what not to grab this time around.

I know I loved FF12 when I played it back in the PS2 days. Hopefully I feel the same way whenever this remake comes out and enjoy it as much as I did then.

The games list for PS Now is looking nice. At that price, I think I'll give it a whirl to knock out a few games I've wanted to play. Especially to play that Katamari game.

I didn't care for the Thirst Meter in Dark Cloud, but I was still pretty new to roguelikes back then and didn't realize hunger/thirst was a common feature. I'm still glad it wasn't in the sequel.

One of the few things I didn't enjoy in Dark Cloud 2 was the monster transformations (felt largely unnecessary, with a lot of work for little results), and photos. If you want max completion, you have to take a photo of absolutely every single thing in the game. Including bosses' signature attacks - which would have you standing still taking a God damn picture while a madman or Eldritch Abomination is actively trying to end you.
It's not really a rogue like, just procedural generated/randomized.

I just can't get into either of these games, it's odd but when I can't get into an acclaimed game.. I wonder what I am missing.

FFX was my first big RPG back in the day.

FFXII scared me off with it's strange gameplay, and I never went back to it. I'm looking forward to finally try it out.

http://www.rocketleaguegame.com/news/2016/06/introducing-painted-certified-items/

The big June update for Rocket League has some nice features being added to the game. The first are two new classifications of items you can earn from online multiplayer games called Painted and Certified items. Painted items are new randomly-chosen recolors of current items to earn with the first set of eligible Painted items being wheels and toppers. Certified items track a certain type of stat that is indicated in the item's name and it evolves as you rack up more of that stat.

http://www.rocketleaguegame.com/news/2016/06/incoming-new-rare-items-trade-system/

Also coming in the June update is are new rankings of items in the Diablo-esque system with Rare and Very Rare items joining the rest to earn in online matches. Among these are items in a new Meta theme that they'll be showing off later this week, rare decals, and very rare boost trails. Along with that is the new Trade-In System that lets you deal with multiple copies of items to trade duplicates of a certain quality to get an item of the next highest quality (Five Uncommons for a Rare item).

That Trade-In System is setting up a Player-to-Player Trading system coming in a later update to allow players to trade stuff with each other.

Also part of the June update are two Dying Light-themed antenna items.

The DLC pack that's exclusive to the retail release for a few weeks includes cars from Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars and will be available digitally on 7/18 for $1.99 each.

Oddly enough Dragon Age came around just a few years later with a very similar system and was highly lauded for it.

XII just had the unfortunate luck to come near the end of the PS2 era and just not be as polished. On top of that it didn't have the benefit of being a new series. People had this idea of what FF games had to be. Finally the game was technically unfinished. Matsuno was never given the time to fully implement his vision.

Great game, a lot of neat ideas.

This site never ceases to amaze me. I mainly come for the weekly game lists on the first page, but sometimes I read the last few pages of comments. I don't post very often, but just like today when I do post a few questions I'm usually completely ignored. I thought I was asking legitimate questions about the difference between Saints Row IV "Game of the Century Edition" and "Re-Elected" DLC content or opinions on Twisted Metal Black PS4 vs. PS3 editions. I just spent over 30 minutes trying to find the answers to those without much success. I'd post what I found, but I don't think anyone cares besides me.

Is there another more appropriate forum or thread to ask questions about PSN games on sale than this thread?

Isn't the purpose of this site to try to help each other by sharing info or is there some catch? I'm trying to figure out why my posts are ignored. It can't be because people know me. Some possible theories:

#1. Is this thread like a club where unknown people like me who are not in the cool clique/club are ignored?

#2. Have I been silently banned and nobody is seeing my posts?

#3. Are the games I'm posting about too old for the "hip/cool" crowd who think any game more than a month old is ancient history that only geezers (like me) care about?

#4. Are most people here young people with ADD who can't handle reading posts more than a few sentences long?

The way this site feels to me is it's like a high school club where there's a bunch of "cool" kids talking inside a room. If you're an outsider and peek your head in to try to join the conversation or ask if a question, you're greeted with dead silence and dirty looks, so you leave and then they all go back to talking like you never existed. If that's how it is, then I guess it's a waste of time for me to post here.

They're right, we should be talking about pizza like the XBL thread.  I hadn't seen the posts in question but I'll go back and find them so I can make sure to ignore them if that will make you feel better.

People just don't know your answer and there's plenty time I asked a question here and elsewhere where I never got a replied back. I never took an offensive to it because I'm an adult. It's the internet grow a backbone and stop taking things personal.

People ask questions and expect to be spoon fed answers. Google is right there, I searched "difference between game of the century and elected" and first result was the wiki page. Clicked through that and found:

Saints Row 4 was released in several summative editions.[28] The Game of the Century edition included 20 downloadable content sets and was released May 9, 2014.[29] The National Treasure Edition included 29 downloadable content sets and was released on July 8, 2014.[28] High Voltage Software ported the game to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One with all of its downloadable content as Saints Row 4: Re-Elected. It was announced in late August 2014 alongside Saints Row: Gat Out of Hell, a standalone Saints Row 4 expansion developed by Volition in conjunction with High Voltage.[10] Both were released in North America on January 20, 2015, and worldwide three days later,[30] both separately and bundled together. The release included new features such as voice commands.[10] A Linux port was presented in December 2015.

Based on that the national treasure edition has 20 dlc pieces while the reelected has All. Pretty easy and straight forward.

I didn't know the answers to what you were asking, but I will offer my opinion about Twisted Metal Black. I don't think it has aged very well. Textures are muddy, draw distance is poor, controls are very floaty. I did love the game back when it came out, but I wasn't really excited about the PS4 conversion. I'd much rather see Burnout 3: Takedown remastered from PS2 to PS4, even though I do already have that game digitally on the 360. Burnout 3 us one of the greatest arcade style racing games I've ever played, love it.

I have to ask a super serious question you guys. If every single poster in this thread doesn't respond in 20 minutes I'll know I'm not part of the cool kid club and go cry in a corner about not having my question answered.

Do you prefer vagisil cream or vagisil spray?

Good point. I should have put it as theory #5: "people don't know the answers". I'm a little surprised by that, though, because I consider CAG the place where the "cool" kids and gamer experts hang out, so I figured somebody would know the answer, especially as Saints Row IV is old. I didn't realize that others had experienced the same issue of unanswered questions so often. It's hard to keep track of my own questions let alone what other questions haven't been answered by others.

I saw that page, but what I had hoped to find on Google was a list of which DLCs were missing in Game of the Century edition. If I could've found a complete list of the DLCs in each edition, I could've done a comparison, but that info isn't on that Wiki page or anywhere I could find on Google, so I asked here. I was trying to decide if the PS4 Re-Elected edition has enough extra DLC to be worth purchasing the PS4 version (considering I never played the game at all on the PC). I got the list of Game of the Century DLCs by visiting the Steam page, but I never found a list of all the DLCs in Re-Elected, apart from Plague of the Frogs. In the end, since I couldn't find a clear answer, I decided my PC Game of the Century Edition is probably not missing anything essential (like missions) so I decided not to rebuy the PS4 version.

Thank you. That helped me decide against Twisted Metal Black PS4, at least until the it's 75% off instead of 50% off. This week I actually bought nothing, and I missed the PS4 Hardline Getaway DLC too because I didn't pay attention that it ended a day earlier than the rest. Fortunately it won't matter as I'll probably buy Hardline on the PC.

An important internet rule is that if you comment with a paragraph you will most likely be ignored or lambasted by other commenters :p
That was my theory #4 and I know it's part of it since even at work when I post detailed bug reports or setup guides, most people don't bother to read them. Well, sometimes it's just not possible to describe such things in a few sentences. I call it the "age of ADD". Unfortunately I don't have the gift of brevity. Even though I try to be brief, I usually fail and my posts usually end up long. Thankfully I don't post very often. Fortunately I'm a fast typer. While I may be verbose, I think most other people are the opposite extreme. Look at most pages of CAG threads and most posts are 1-2 lines which doesn't provide much detailed info. When someone says a game is great or sucks and there are no other details, I find myself saying "why? why?" (sort of like Craig T. Nelson screamed at the end of Poltergeist to Mr. Teague).

I do appreciate all the replies. If I post again and don't get replies, I'll try not to take it personally and just repeat my questions hopefully in fewer sentences. If there were some other better thread or place to do it, I would go there, but I think this is THE place to post PSN game questions.

Speaking of which, I only played the first Uncharted for a few hours on the PS3 (not for lack of desire but lack of time). I own all 3 on the PS3, and the last 2 are in 3D (I love 3D). Then I got the Uncharted Collection with my PS4 which I know has remastered and improved graphics and frame rates, but no 3D. So my dilemma is... should I sacrifice the 3D on Uncharted 2-3 PS3 and play the PS4 versions instead? As soon as I finish Rise of the Tomb Raider, I plan to go back to Uncharted. It has been so long I could just start it over anyway, and I assume it's not possible to use my old PS3 save on the PS4. Sure, I could Google that too. Just so much stuff to look up all the time.

I hope someone can help me before the deals expire tomorrow. I have Saints Row IV Game of the Century Edition on Steam.

If I buy the "Saints Row / Metro Double Pack" for PS4 for $16.49, is it correct I will get Saints Row IV Re-Elected + Gat Out of Hell + Metro 2033 Redux + Metro Last Last Redux?

I read that Saints Row IV Re-Elected has a lot more DLC than the Game of the Century Edition. Is that correct?

Finally, I'm considering Twisted Metal Black and Fantavision PS4 upconversions from the PS2 since I played both PS2 games. The few reviews I found make it sound like these are decent conversions apart from the drab textures. Do people think these are worth $4.99 or are they likely to have bigger price drops in the future (like 75% off)?
Yeah the saints row and metro are the full versions (with gat and both metro), dlc and all, so for that price grab it while the grabbing good. I'm afraid I don't pc game, so I don't think there is any difference in the dlc, just know the saints package is all the dlc. Also a note on saints is the game runs fine, but they really didn't do much to shine it up like metro redux.

Twisted metal black was the last true twisted metal game. It can look dated now that we can do so much more then car combat. I'd say get it, it's a lot of fun if you have some mates to play with, not super satisfying playing alone. I'm betting the PS2 for PS4 will have flash sale $2 prices, but why wait? Some people spend more on their coffee then these games, and they provide much richer experience.

I like my coffee black and my games on sale, lol. I honestly thought I could make a better joke, but let's just say that was funny and go get coffee.

should I sacrifice the 3D on Uncharted 2-3 PS3 and play the PS4 versions instead? e.
Yes you should. 3D is cool and all and you love it but I think the experience will still be better on :ps4: without it.

and yea don't take it personal if your question doesn't get answered. Not everybody knows the answer and a person who could answer just hadn't read it yet. Believe it or not, no matter how much a thread may go OT, if somebody knows it'll eventually get answered. If I knew, I would have told you since I read every post in these threads.

World of Final Fantasy will be out on PS4 and Vita on 10/25:

I'm surprised at the PS4/Vita stuff they're announcing for NA release of late while I Am Setsuna is only releasing on PS4.

Well I had really wanted to wait for at least 50% off on the PS2 games but I find myself suddenly desiring Okage...
Wait, it was already $7.49 ps+ discount when it released so you're only saving $0.50 by waiting 3 months lol. I was going to grab DC2 and Arc the Lad but I know damn well they will drop below 50% so I'll wait. Only on the fence about :ps4: Risen 3 for $10

OK I'll wait. Now I need to decide on PaRappa 2 and Fantavision.

This has been announced for Vita for like six months though so they were probably already working on that localization when they started to move away from Vita.

It has a neat little story as something of an Earthbound clone in terms of being very silly, though the battle system isn't all that good.
Yeah, that's what I got from watching some videos.

What the hell! No big ps4 holiday exclusives again this year? The Grinch is alive and well. Hope it means last guardian is confirmed for November.
I look forward to this release, but totally have doubts of its commercial success. Unfortunately.

And don't forget about Gran Turismo: Sport.  I don't play racing games, but that is an exclusive coming out this fall that will probably sell big.

Sounds like you are projecting something from your past. The beauty of the forums (and specificially this thread) is it's not those things unless you are coming in here to bash what it is we are here to discuss. IF you come here to bash, be prepared to be reported, ignored, and probably face some strong responses. So ask your q's but realize sometimes q's just can't be legtimately answered. Like the Saint's Row q. Think about that question for a moment, who would actually own both versions and be able to detail the differences in the dlc content right off the top of their head? I mean, you own one or the other. So without researching it, it would be difficult for most people to answer. Also remembering what DLC comes with which each version (in that rare chance you own and have played both) would be difficult. Usually if I install something with a lot of dlc I don't even pay attention to what that content is. That doesn't make your q a bad one, but just one very few people can answer without google searching and looking at the store listings to compare.

And as mentioned, a lot of us here are game shopaholics looking for that next big deal. So for a lot of us, it's hard to get the time to play the same game on two different platforms and compare the results. Also, this is, I think, the first sale for Twisted Metal Black (PS4) since it came out. We are on CAG where a lot of people do insist on waiting for a sale before buying something... so it stands to reason that a lot of CAG's that wanted this game will probably be getting it now (and others will wait for 75% off or PS+). So maybe next time it goes on sale there will be more feedback here. A good place to ask a specific Q about that version of the game would be on the specific forum for that game on Gamefaqs.com. In fact a lot of times if I need an answer like that usually someone has already discussed it on gamefaqs and indeed there is a thread titled "Has not aged well" that is full of feedback (both positive and negative) which would meet your feedback needs.

But yes ask q's here. IF someone knows, then you'll typically get an answer. If they have to go do research, there's less of a chance of getting that answer but sometimes people are kind enough to do that as well. But just don't expect it. Consider this one resource but not the only one.

Whew, now... I'm looking forward to seeing what the new sales are today.

I think the bigger question would be MP. Since you arent asking about that, Im assuming you dont care. In that case, then yes. The updated PS4 visuals >>>> 3D. FYI, 3D was only on the PS3 version. Did you have Plus a few years ago? Sony actually gave the SP portion of UC3 away and that included a 3D download, so you may own it but forgot (that happens to me all the time)

Web store is updating.  All deals page is the one to look at.  Mega Man Legends 2 for $2.49.  There are a bunch of other capcom games... looks like my spending drought is over.

EDIT:

Capcom Classics Collection (PSP) $1.99

MM Legacy Collection (PS4) $10.04

Also some more Atlus PSP games are back on sale.
