From what I understand yes you have to download the digital version of the game. That's the one somewhat major thing that MS has over on Sony.
On the other hand, you can start playing most ps4 games with only a few seconds of install from disc. I'd take that anyday, since it's common that I put a disc in, but uncommon that I rebuy a digital version of something i have physical.

MS's 'feature' is a remnant of their original plan, in which everything was effectively digital, which is why there is no difference in files.

Is there anything cheaper than a 0.50 avatar on the psn store?

And if i buy battlefield hardline do i get any free dlc in the future? From what i google they gave away a bunch of dlc in a road to battlefield 1 reveal but i didn't add them to my account unfortunately.

Is the quintet game worth 3.99?

I'll probably just buy an avatar to cover the 2 cents i need but was just wondering about these cheap items just in case they're worth it

if you have a vita, desert ashes' episodes are $.19

I really wish PSN would show what I do and do not own (in the store; I know I can view purchase history).  Or I at least wish I had a better memory about what I have and haven't already bought.  :/

On PS4 and the website it will say "purchased" instead of the price for anything I own.

Im sorry. Im sure this has been asked before, but Im paranoid. Pre orders count toward the $15 promo right? As long as I spend money directly from my wallet, I should be good. What about using my wallet to re new my ps plus. Does that count towards the $100?

EDIT: Got my answers. Thanks everyone! :)

I tweeted AskPlaystation and they told me yes. I've already preordered Destiny Rise of Iron, No Mans Sky, and now just debating if I want GTA5 for a 3rd time...lol. It doesn't seem like an insane prove, but considering my wallet balance was purchased for cheap and I'm getting $15 back I might get it. Was gonna get Need For Speed, but noticed the sale price is already gone. Why do some games go off sale earlier than others? So weird... It'll be free on EA access anyways. Debated Hyperdimension Neptunia too.......

Yea. I assumed. Just wanted to be sure. Thanks. Im also debating on GTA 5....

I hate when there's promos and people use this site as customer service for the company.
I hate when people get their panties in an up roar over something that in no way effects them. So, you know, we all have our pet peeves.

Yes they are supposed to count. I bought 2 yrs of ps+ and an avatar through the psn wallet this week.

Does any1 have a link to see one's purchase history? I'd like to have that ready in case i have to contact customer service at a later date if need be

Just click on your name at the top right of the psn store, and go to purchase history. It would be much easier for you to just search for your confirmation emails though, as those actually have the price you payed. Navigating through your purchase history can be a real pain in the ass.

As long as the funds come from the wallet, you're fine. Reloading your wallet does not, you have to buy something.

Yeah, it was a great dub despite all the language/culture disparities.
join me under the traditional american kotatsu dude ;P

it's almost funny, because the very thing that theoretically makes trademark law 'sane' -- a brand name going public domain if it becomes a common word [xerox, many, many others] is exactly why brands need to defend against any and every potential infringement. Even letting one minor case slide can be cause to lose another lawsuit against a 'real' infringer or even lose it altogether.

--------------------

Anyone want to try talking me out of any of these?

Child of Light vita - $5

Alien Isolation - 12

BF Hardline - 5

AC Black Flag - 9

Need for Speed -12

Omega Quintet - 4

Rainbow Six seige - 30

Destiny taken King - 30

total - 105.62

I'm definitely getting NFS. i'm on the fence about the rest for various reasons.

i don't necessarily need to hit 100 this week, there will be a sale next week and even if there's nothing i want i can filler it up with a few vita games i need to get.
try the child of light demo first if its still up. Have you ever played grandia? its kinda like that a little.

been waiting for it to be on a good sale for a while now

I feel like it's a 5-7 dollar game but I dunno if it will ever get there

doesn't go on digital sale often
should of bought it during the glitch price where it was 4-6$ I think for over a week.

I can only speak for Hyperdimension Neptunia Rebirth;1 (or whatever its name is) and its too grindy for me. Everytime I got to the end boss for every chapter, I would have to go grind kills to level up. I remember spending a couple of hours killing some whale-like creature then leaving the room and returning killing it for xp. Maybe I wasn't very good at the game though. I got to chapter 4 before I accidentally deleted my game progress and not sure if I have the patience to go back.
yeah neptunia series isn't very fun due to the grind involved.

Picked up Ni No Kumi, Dark Souls 2 and GTA V (both on PS4) Also pre ordered South Park: The Fracture, But Whole. Playing The Stick of Truth now. Runs soooooo much better then ps3. Looks sharper as well.

:ps4: Odin Sphere is so so good. I'd rebuy it for :vita: to play again if it didn't have a shared trophy list.
I got the Platinum but I almost burned out on it about a third to halfway through when I had seen almost all the enemies and areas. They could have told the whole story in 10-15 hours with a couple characters and left the others to use for fun if you wanted. In hindsight, I should have played one character's story and then played something else for a while instead of trying to plow through everything.

Nice. After holding out of the past couple of months I finally caved.

I did end up getting NFS Rivals. I know when it comes to racing games thats more my style and hard to beat $6.
I bought Injustice: Ultimate Edition only because I lost access to it when my Plus ran out. No sense in deleting a 20 gb game that was already on my PS4.

Only thing I actually bought from the sale was GTAV. I also grabbed Destiny Rise of Iron and No Mans Sky so I hit the $100 threshold to get the $15 back.

Anyone tried Unravel? Heard great things about the story, and it seems the platforming does get a little clunky in later parts, but nothing rage inducing. Really thinking of grabbing it for $10 :whistle2:k

Played 5 minutes of demo, couldn't get off of the desk (I think it was, faint memory of the setting, strong memory of frustration), deleted it and moved on in my life. Perhaps my platforming preferences don't match up with it.

Most asked question I still haven't seen answered.
I really doubt it's a remaster as the game already looked amazing.... It looked exactly like an episode of the show, so I'm not sure how you make it look better except for sharpness, which can be taken care of being simply a port.

Square Enix has things listed. PS4's selection is all FF XIV and FF X/X-2. Might not be the final list though
It's not the final list. Just search for FF games in general and then reduce the results by just "games" and you'll see a lot of sale prices on those games. The pages are far from done being updated.

EDIT: SE sale page is updated now with 32 games. That is probably final or very close to final. Same for 2K Sales page as it shows 26 items now.

Don't know if you wound up buying it but it's supposed to be very good. It's also supposed to be very short so I'm waiting for $5.

Well I'm glad I wasn't hoping for stuff to put me over $100.  The FF sale is nice but I'm already got everything worth having and 2K sale is 2K sale.

Debating on buying Umbrella Corps Deluxe Edition.  Game looks pretty basic but I have heard it is a lot of fun.  Just wish it was cheaper than it is lol

For someone who is new to Final Fantasy, are there any recommendations? I've just recently bought a Vita and have a PS3 and I plan on getting a PS4 soon.

6 is still the best in my opinion, but be aware these are PS1 ports of snes games. I don't know how bad it is with the digital copies, but the loading on the physical discs can really drag on.

If you research and decide you want Dissidia, don't buy that one, buy the follow-up Dissidia Duodecim as it has the contents of the first game as a part of it.

It depends on your tastes. Final fantasy V and earlier can be hard to swallow if you didn't grow up in the 8 or 16 bit eras. VI and VII are pretty universally loved. I think VIII and IX have lots of charm too. X isn't my favorite, but has its moments. XII has a funky combat system and feels very different than its predecessors.

Not a FF game, but if you like JRPGS you should play Chrono Trigger. I love FF VI, but I think Chrono is the best SNES RPG.
