Does anyone have a 20% code that they are not going to use? I missed out on the 20% offer and was gonna use it to purchase Detroit: Become Human.

Hellblade has held stubbornly at $20.99 for awhile now. I'm sure it's due to drop soon but I think it's a worthy purchase. A bit overrated (a few of the puzzles are confusing/repetitive and the fighting is weak), but it has a unique story. It's destined to be an LRG at some point.

While I'm blatantly recommending stuff, let me just say that I completed Observer earlier this week and it's pretty great. (Also, SOMA, but that's not on sale at the moment.)

I also really have to make the case for Detroit: Become Human. It might be my personal GOTY so far. If you love interactive drama (especially Beyond: Two Souls), it's remarkably poignant and damn near perfect. Kind of Blade Runner meets Westworld meets Planet of the Apes: Last Frontier. Had I known about the Deluxe Edition containing Heavy Rain for only $10 more and the timing of this month's 20% off coupon, I would have bought the digital version instead for $56. Who knows if Heavy Rain will ever get discounted on its own.

I have a lot more to say about Detroit, but I'll save it until after I get the platinum (which seems to be about as time-consuming as Beyond was).
Damn, I've pretty much heard nothing but bad things about Detroit, but I really liked Beyond: Two Souls. I may have to reconsider Detroit even though I wasn't that impressed with the demo.

So with the impending X-Com 2 for plus, should I bail on the original X-Com and X-Com Enemy Unknown? I've had those sitting in the backlog forever with good intentions :p  I really like this style of game, just kind of dropped the ball on this series

I played Enemy Unknown: Plus for the Vita and loved the game even though it ran pretty terribly and I encountered a number of bugs / crashes. For what it's worth, I'd recommend playing.

I don't know about asking people to PM me a 20% off code (seems too easy); but it sure is amusing when people post impenetrable puzzles or 'grab as fast as your can' public freebies - I hope to see more of those.  I still can't figure out Kerig's from a page or so back and it's gotten to where I don't know that the code is even still good but I've got to get it solved anyway.

Yeah, I was hoping for a discount code before they disappear. I own Seasons 1 & 2 on PS3/Vita and PS4, and Season 7 on PS4 (price glitch, yay). That leaves tables from Seasons 3, 4, 5, & 6 for me to consider.

Did some research:

Seasons consists of multiple packs (usually 10), with each pack containing usually 1, sometimes 2 tables.
Each season costs $29.99. Each pack costs $4.99. (PS3/Vita and PS4 are NOT cross buy).

S3 (10 tables total): 8 of 10 packs contain a Williams or Bally table.
S4 (10): 8 of 10
S5 (11): 6 of 10
S6 (12): 5 of 11

So, if all the W. or B. tables are desired, buying the seasons is the most cost effective (S6: only save $5 but lose out on half the tables). And besides, only ten items in the cart at a time.

Handy link: https://www.pinballarcade.com/TablePacks/

I'm about to spend ~$192 on DLC. Move away from the ledge, or jump?
I am in the same boat. I have the disc for PS4 which gives me season 1 and I have season 7 via the glitch. I'd need five seasons from 2 through 6. My completionist nature says to get them while I can. The problem is that I never even put the disc in the system until season 7 came out (to make sure I had the full season via glitch) and haven't put it in since. I gravitated more towards Zen Pinball since it has 3D, but even still, pinball was one of those, "I'll play it when I have a few minutes to kill" type of games. Hard to sit down a play it for days at a time when I get discouraged since the trophies are so impossible to obtain.

I'm confused by your math, though. Four packs at $30 each would be $120 without coupon and $96 with. Where do you get $192?

PS3/Vita tables are cross-buy to each other but NOT with the PS4 tables. Therefore, 96 * 2 = 192 (after discount).

I definitely want the tables on the Vita. I consider it the perfect pinball delivery system. I would own it if it just had Zen / Star Wars & Pinball Arcade as its only games. Perfect for pick up and play, while half-watching sports or whenever else the TV is otherwise occupied.

And now that FarSight finally (FINALLY) added a friend filter to the leader boards of the PS4 version, I would rather play the tables there when on the big screen instead of the PS3 moving forward.

Speaking of friend leader boards, anyone wanting pinball friends for leader board competition feel free to add me, just mention pinball or cag or something.

So with the impending X-Com 2 for plus, should I bail on the original X-Com and X-Com Enemy Unknown? I've had those sitting in the backlog forever with good intentions :p I really like this style of game, just kind of dropped the ball on this series
This is a tough call, but I'd say try the previous game first. I think most people agree that the previous game was a better overall game, but 2 had enough improvements that it might be hard to go back after playing 2.

I could be mistaken but I thought if you bought the PS3/vita tables you also got the PS4 version, but not the other way around. Can someone confirm?
Not for Pinball Arcade. They do offer the first 2 seasons at a discount for owners of those 2 on the PS3/Vita, but that's it.

(I would be very happy if I were wrong about the other seasons though).

Thanks for the heads up, that's the kind of take I was looking for

I managed to purchase Season 1, 2 and 7 when they were on sale, all on PS4. I'd been skipping Steam sales as I couldn't stomach buying the same thing twice or splitting my collection over multiple platforms. So I decided to go all in on Seasons 3, 4, 5 and 6.

Bought $100 credit (gift card) at Amazon with my Prime Visa for 5% off ($95), and they are offering $10 bonus credit if you "reload your credit for $100" (dumb promo). So I got $110 credit for $95 (14% off).

Bought a $50 and $60 Playstation credit from Amazon digital (instant keys). Used my 20% PSN coupon to lower the price to $23.99 a season.

Total on PSN, $95.96 (ouch). But, about $82.50 after all discounts, or $20 a season, or $2 a table...

UGH, the pain for pinball, but I'd easily drop $2 in quarters if I ever saw a real table anywhere, so worth having them digitally.

Screw you Bally/Williams, and I'm pretty sure by extension, Farsight (who have continuously screwed their customers).

"You've reached the maximum value for a single transaction. You can purchase the items already in your cart or replace them with others."

Well, it seems there is not just a maximum of 10 items you can hold in your cart, but also a maximum of how much money you can spend at once.  I was curious to see how much it would cost me for the five seasons of Pinball Arcade I needed, plus a few other things I wanted.  I got cut off at 7 items and a Subtotal of $187.93 (Total after PS+ discount: $172.93.)  I have not tried to enter the 20% off code to see if they'll let me add more after, as I don't want to risk losing it if I don't check out.

Of course, maybe this is a cosmic way of telling me I'm being ridiculous thinking of spending $120 on pinball DLC.

I think the max is $150.

Damn, I've pretty much heard nothing but bad things about Detroit, but I really liked Beyond: Two Souls. I may have to reconsider Detroit even though I wasn't that impressed with the demo.
Truthfully, Beyond didn't get good scores either. I think it comes down to personal preference. This game has three different storylines (the demo is only representative of one) so there's a lot going on and I think it all works. The relationship between Kara and Alice is by far the strongest and moved me to tears on several occasions. David Cage seems to have a knack for writing female characters (not to mention the Chloe who interacts with you on the menu screen).

Also, I replayed the last two chapters a couple of times and got completely different experiences each time (one of them I will not forgive myself for). It's amazing how much detail they put into each choice and how many little decisions you might not see play out unless you go against the opposite of your instincts. On the other hand, like most adventure games, the first playthrough is always going to be the best, the second playthrough is going to be pretty good, but everything after that will expose it for its weaknesses. It's a fairly long game (12 hours, depending on choices) and while there is some variation in storytelling between gameplays, there are also some linear chapters which always play out the same way. I only mention this for the platinum, which may require a minimum of 2.5 playthroughs (and there's no way to skip scenes you've already seen). Again, if you enjoyed Beyond, this should all be very familiar and you'll find a lot to like here.

Ha, just came here to say I had this problem. If you apply the code to the cart, you can add more if the total after discount is below the maximum spending limit (I think ~$175). I was able to get a couple of extra seasons in, but ended up with just 7 of the 8 seasons I was going for. Just hope another code pops up before the end of June.

If anyone has a 20% off PSN code to spare, I'd appreciate if you could send it by PM. Tomorrow, I'm dropping *sigh* $150 on the first five seasons of The Pinball Arcade and that would take away some of the sting.

That's awful, but I'll support you. :) (final code. was going to do another puzzler, but this sob's sob story took it away)

I'm a Pinball FX3 diehard only. I don't invest in "real" tables.

A PS4 game I don’t yet own (XCOM 2)but have always wanted to is actually on the list of games with ps plus this month!!! I loved the first one on PC, but haven’t played this one yet. Sweet!

I was going to respond to him but you did a much better job than I would have. :D Bottom line is that Detroit is definitely worth checking out if you like the "interactive drama" genre.

Anyway, picked up the following for around $46 out of pocket after $10 from Sony Rewards, the 20% off coupon and credit for 8% off from GMG:

Tokyo Xanadu eX+

observer

AC Rogue Remastered

Tesla vs. Lovecraft

Next to God of War 3, Detroit: Become Human is my favorite game of the year. So very good.

Ok...

Whiskey/Bourbon time, put your drinking hats on to get my 20% code.

(First letter of company names)

1. Old No "X" Tennessee whiskey

2. Pappy Van Winkle is distilled at this Frankfurt Distillery

3. Thirteen large distilleries owned by eight companies produce over 99% of the whiskey made in this state.

4. Heaven Hill's Distillery, Hometown.

5+6. Duke Kentucky Straight Bourbon is "XX" Proof

7. This distillery is celebrating it's 130th year, and some damn fine bourbon.

8. Bourbon”X”. Condiment made with Bourbon

9. Brand with a “Profile 46” Bourbon

10. # of brands Kentucky Bourbon Distillers owns.

Couple of these were a little rough to find something that would work lol.

(Lets see how long this takes)

Thanks, good to know. Unfortunately, I had already given up and made my purchase without any of the tables. I think the sticker shock of close to $200 kind of made me realize I would have spent $120 on tables that I likely will take forever to get to playing, if I even do. I may regret it in time, and perhaps I will reconsider if another coupon pops up before my birthday (June 30 -- when the tables are gone.)

On the plus side, I got tired of waiting for Polybius to go on sale after over a year and picked it up as one of the items I used my coupon on, so it'll probably show up as 50% off during next week's sale. Ya'll are welcome.

If I had the cash id buy them all too. You won't lose the 20% off card as long as you keep one item in your car at all times. It may even stay with zero, but I'm not that brave to test it. I have, however, tested completely switching my car around left and right and it's never lost it.

I have the same problem with the Vita versus PS4. I want them on both. I'm also really sad for the future, say PS 6, if we don't have another way to play them

Does anyone feel like putting together their top 10 list of must have tables that are going away?

Medieval Madness is a must-have. Arguably the best table of all time, easy to learn but with tons of stuff to do.

Twilight Zone, Star Trek, T2, Addams Family are all solid off the top of my head. I'm really curious about Doctor Who and Judge Dredd.

Im budgeting maybe 20 or 30 bucks to pick up a handful of tables and I'm trying to ensure I don't miss any Essentials. It's bad enough I need to decide between Vita and PS4

Thanks, but I wish you bought hand of Fate 2 as well.

I just want your top 3 bourbon recommendations. ;)

Four Roses Small Batch

Angels Envy

Evan Williams Single barrel.

Was able to taste their 23 + 12 year bourbons in Louisville... :D/ I can't afford to drink that... but I want it!

I'd toss in Maker's Mark (original and 46) as well as Wild Turkey Rare Breed.

Bought 2 seasons of Pinball Arcade...and the freaking game doesn’t know it. Try to download them from the store and it just kept timing out or said they were unavailable. Awesome

How is it? I’ve considered using a coupon on it too.

Holy shit, is that true? I never had the guts to try. That’s brilliant, although it’ll probably discourage people from sharing their codes in the future if you can just enter it in your cart and use it whenever there’s something you want. Thanks for the tip though, next time I won’t be so hasty making my purchases.

Also, you buy games with your Honda Accord? ;)
