My little Clementine's all grown up.

The Walking Dead: Season 4 is a little different than the last wave of Telltale games. The gameplay feels slightly more sophisticated and sometimes takes a 3rd person perspective/strategic approach to QTEs. There are also collectibles to find and missable trophies, but no chapter select for easy cleanup. I'm not sure if this is an improvement on previous entries; in the past, you could play through a game once and earn your five-act trophies (only three acts per episode this season) towards a platinum, and the story felt unique and tailored to the way you played. Now you're kind of forced into doing certain things, which I guess ups the replay value, but I feel like you're playing it for the wrong reasons. Anyway, trophies aside, it's a really great start (end?) to the series and I'm excited to see where it goes next.
Sad to hear and will probably temper my expectations and wait for a decent sale after they’ve all released now.

You have to do it in 2-3 places, and they re-enable if you renew before your sub is up. I learned that a few years ago.
Found the 2nd one under "Subscriptions Management". Thanks for the heads up. Pretty sneaky there Sony. I'll check that auto billing for PSN under Paypal settings is disabled as well.

According to the preorder listing for Spiderman, is all of this stuff only if you preorder or is it just the pin?  The way they have the line about cancellations and refunds stuck in there I didn't know if it was just the pin or everything below it too.  There's another grouping further down on the website showing what the deluxe version includes so my gut tells me everything showing here is only if you preorder.  In other news, not being able to use 20% coupons on preorders continues to blow.

Pre-order Marvel's Spider-Man Digital Deluxe Edition and receive the following:

Marvel's Spider-Man Physical Pin GWP* - A collectable, custom, one of a kind physical pin celebrating Marvel’s Spider-Man

*Only available to US and Canada customers

Play on 09/07/2018 12am Eastern Time

CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS ARE NOT AVAILABLE EXCEPT WHERE REQUIRED BY LAW.

Spidey Suit Pack - Gain instant in-game access to three suits that alter your appearance and/or unlock new suit abilities.

5 Extra Skill Points – Get a head start on your web slinging experience by having skill points to unlock abilities

Early Unlock of a Spider-Drone Gadget

Spider-Man PS4 Custom Theme – Customize your PS4 with artwork from legendary comic book artist Adi Granov

Sorry, just wanted to note that it was now available since Farsight made their typical blunders... Star Trek and Mustang don't include 'Pinball Arcade' in their item title, so they're harder to notice via search. But, they do show up as PA add-ons on the game's page. AC/DC includes Pinball Arcade in its item title, but isn't shown in the add-ons section on the main PA game page. Regardless, the 3 'new' tables that were Stern Pinball Arcade exclusives are now available individually for PA.

Yes you get everything listed

I've probably asked this before, so please pardon my redundancy. Is The Crew Ultimate worth picking up, especially now the that the sequel is out?
I don't think either game are good open world racing games. They control just poorly enough that it kind of ruins the feel of the game compared to the others out there.

We hardly ever get indies for PS4 anymore though on Plus. Just ancient AAA games.
Sadly, this is what people wanted. I personally would take a fresh indie over a stale retail game any day, but I'm in the minority on this since when Sony was giving indies on plus all people did was bitch and moan, so here we are.

Did anyone else catch that zombie in the Battlefield V trailer? Had that been revealed already? This is the first I’ve heard of it.

Pay extra for in-game power. This is a pretty disgusting practice. What are they gonna do next, micro-transactions for extra skill points and currency?

At least the God of War preorder bonuses were just cosmetic.

You're not paying extra for that though, those are pre order bonuses for both versions of the game. The digital deluxe, which is extra, comes with the following:

•Full Game
•Three chapters in Marvel’s Spider-Man: The City that Never Sleeps series* – Available post launch, each chapter contains:
•Additional missions
•Additional characters from the Spider-Man universe
Additional suits for Spider-Man

Not sure how this is a "disgusting" practice.

It was stated that the Pre-order suits and drone will be available in game. You'll have to earn them, but you can get them early if you Pre-order the game.

does anyone know about the three chapters -- is it like the season pass or will there be separate story dlc?

Not sure how this is a "disgusting" practice.
the fact that you (and many others) have accepted that this is not a problem is the problem

Yes I have accepted paying extra for extra content. Crazy concept I know. The fact that you (and many others) can't understand that is the real problem. If you don't like the practices, don't buy the game, simple as that.

Yeah, you can simply order the regular edition for $60 and get the season pass later. Apparently they are releasing a season pass separate from the Deluxe Edition. When the DLC is announced, you can see if it's worth spending that extra money for the extra content.

So i guess it's okay to preorder an incomplete game for $60, then maybe get the digital deluxe version for $20 more, then maybe get that $30 season pass down the road.

Or, you can do what a sane game does like god of war where they charge you MSRP for a full game. And that game has tons of hours of playtime.

These preorder/dlcs/season passes are just things you have accepted to let these companies make you pay over $100 for what they should be giving their player-base for MSRP.

You're not paying for extra content, the developer doesn't get the money, the publisher does. You're paying extra for things that were taken out of the game so they can sell them to you.

I don't normally jump in on these type of conversations, but this isn't like Assassin's Creed or Dragon Age Origins where they push the DLC on you and actually make it feel like an incomplete game. In a lot of cases (not all, as I know there are scummy games) the reason for why you see DLC like this is because the game has to be pushed to production well before the game comes out. Spiderman went gold almost a month before the game's launch, so they have to give the developers something to do for that month. little DLC like what's included in the Deluxe edition is a great way to keep the team busy until launch, so that it's not only bug fixes. obviously how or if they choose to monetize that month is up to them.

I understand that it is an issue for you, but for others it is not. Truthfully the argument could be made that cosmetics are also an important part of the game, and by locking it behind the deluxe, then God of War is not offering you the full game, as they locked dlc content behind a paywall. However, it seems for you that this is a nonissue. For many people, the offerings of spiderman deluxe are not an issue, as they are still getting what they value as the "whole game". Obviously, if there was a significant chunk of a game appearing to be missing a la AC2's missing sequences, then it certainly feels like you're missing the full game. However, at the end of the day, it does come down to your wallet. I imagine this game will do well enough to get a complete edition with all its DLC. At that point you're paying MSRP for a full game, as you perceive it. The argument has been discussed for a decade now, and it's pretty much reached its conclusion. People aren't stupid, their values are different than yours.

TL;DR: people have differing opinions on what constitutes a full game. people are not stupid for thinking that value is different than yours. Enjoy games you like, vote with you wallet, yadda yadda.

It’s 2018, not really the time to discuss this type of unlocking content. Unless someone wants to start up a discussion about EA’s use of season passes we’ll all pretend it’s 10 years ago.

And the fact EA started the hideous trend of online passes around 10+ years ago. Can you imagine if they and other publishers tried that garbage now? Yikes... Video gaming has come a long way since then. Some good, some bad, and some downright ugly.

Wait so Spiderman having preorder content that can easily be unlocked in the game is worse than God Of War having pre order content that isn't even in the game and if you don't preorder it you can't have more than one shield skin?

The game is complete. There will be a beginning, a middle, and an end. Would you prefer them to just release the exact same game without any of these additions? Would less content make it more complete to you? I just don't get this argument. The game is done, they can sit on their butt and just watch the money roll in or they can do fun stuff for the community to keep people engaged and coming back to the game with new missions.

Are you ready for games to be $70 next generation? Because that's a strong possibility. Maybe games will be more complete for you if they raise the base price 🙄

Why do you all get together to shit on people once they say something you might not agree with? Wasn't this an issue in the last thread. You people dont change your ways. Total mob mentality.

The Deluxe Edition does have the season pass Lol. You wouldn't have to pay for the season pass again. Also, God of War doesn't even have DLC (that we know of yet, you never know). Horizon: Zero Dawn said they'd never make you pay extra for DLC or anything like that and they made an expansion anyways. Yes, it costs money but if it's worth it to you then you buy it. It's your money, you decide what to do with it.

Also, nobody even knows how long it takes to complete Spider-Man. Some people attach different value to games besides money. It isn't always based on length. It can be replay value, how fun it is, free roam capabilities, etc.

Basically all of CaG and niche communities. People here act like companies, developers, publishers, franchises, etc are their friends and get defensive when people say anything critical about them.

I worry about my family and my wallet. I don't care about any developer, etc because I'm sure they don't care about me.

These companies, developers, publishers, etc are out to make the most money they can. They aren't here to be your friends.

How are we shitting on someone by stating an opinion and counter points? He is entitled to his own opinion, you are entitled to yours and I mine. Why is he allowed to voice his opinion but when we voice ours suddenly we're a mob shitting on someone?

Going to respond to some points in the thread, so don't mind the mess.

I think the main argument was that it has DLC missions included in deluxe. People dislike missions being resold more than skins, but an argument can be made for both being bad.

I don't think anyone assume any company is our friend. or else we would always be paying full price for games

Can we argue about The Last of Us next?
What's that game? Never heard of it. Must be an indie survival game :whistle2:k

To add relevancy to the topic, big fan of Warframe, so happy to see a lot of packs are on sale. Still waiting for that clutch 20% coupon from Sony though
