Probably for an update to fix the brick/reset. At least i hope..
If not, probably down due to ddos again lol.

As of 10 am EST, servers for Sound Shapes were still working. It took me two tries for each system to connect to them though

The most disappointing thing about the server shutdown is the loss of all the community levels (I contributed some levels I thought were fun/inventive and am kind of sad to see them go down). It's kind of like LittleBigPlanet, where user-created content extended the game by thousands of creative levels, but now the shutdown is basically stripping it back down to the core campaign/DLC.

You can probably get a refund if:

1. You have NEVER gotten one before
2. You have not played the expansion or any of the content you purchased yet.

I got a refund a few years ago on a shit game that was so buggy it was unplayable. Sony made an exception. I tried to get a refund for a game I bought at full price, so I could buy it a day later on sale, and they said no since I already got one exception in my life time. Good luck lol

 
Yeah they will not flex on that rule. One refund exception per account. That’s it. Doesn’t matter the reason unless they offer you the option like when you preorder a game and it is delayed.
 
In for Dirt 4 this time around, it's been on my wish list for a spell. I know it's been cheaper at times recently, $15 isn't bad though. Other than that, not much else of interest.

Will the code give me the game to keep permanently or will it only give me the DLCs?

Probably not. Your best bet is to contact support and ask them to remove the game from your account before you redeem the code.

Edit: For the sake of full disclosure I've never tried the above myself but I've heard of other people doing it in the past. Can't guarantee that they'll comply.

You can also create a second PSN account and redeem the code there.

I can't speak for codes, but I had a copy of Sound Shapes that I got from PS+ way back in the day. Back at the beginning of the year, I bought the Sound Shapes Ultimate Pack which was the game plus the DLC. It converted my game from being PS+ to being bought (my library no longer shows an expiration date for the game.)

All this Sound Shapes talk made me go back and look at when I platinumed it first on Vita. Turns out it was four years ago as of yesterday lol. 

 
Only two games from my list on sale this week -- The Silver Case and Yomawari: Midnight Shadows -- but both have been cheaper before. C'mon, Sony, what are you doing?

I still have a few VR items I want from before, but I guess we'll have to wait another week or two for an alleged horror sale. I was hoping to actually have time to play them before then.

Hmmm...  That's odd.  None of my Sound Shapes show an expiration.

Guess it doesn't work with codes.  Maybe Sony Customer service can see that you redeemed a bundle code and switch it over.

I see that on the console itself, but it suggests I should buy The Crew to own despite already owning it. I think the bundle I bought a few years ago got delisted, so it thinks I don't own it and let me grab the game again when it was on GWG.

 
Yeah going through a few games on my list and found that they are not always correct in what I "own" and what I have with GwG..

I still find Sony to be easier to navigate/decipher. (at least on the website)

Although I did grab a game with PS+ (name evades me atm) that has had multiple "rereleases" with added content. Shows as unavailable for me even though I own it. And i'm pretty sure that the new versions, I can't buy for some reason..

Going to drive me crazy til I think of the games name...

HELLDIVERS gah. 

Yeah, every new version shows "Unavailable" for me when they release it.

It flat-out says it on the console listing and the website. If you have a weird situation where you don't own the exact package, the base game will still have a big Install button (even on the website). The only annoying thing about Xbox is the Sales & Specials app purchases, but at least those appear as owned on your primary 360/any Xbone.
 
On website it does *not* flat out say it.
Just shows me a list that i have to click on each title to see if i have purchased it, or got it with gwg.
Psn’s website shows me a list also, if there is an end date... thats a ps+ Game i picked up. No date? Thats a purchase. No need to look at any games page to decipher which one it is.

On console, i never go on to the store on ps4, and only go into that clusterf*** of xbox’s store when something will not download like it should. (Dlc from season passes mostly)

All of my purchases are from the apps on my phone or the website.
Now this is from mobile, but it looks identical on the desktop.
Tell me where it says i “own” victor vran, or i got it through gwg.

Rdr2 had better be beyond epic. I loved rdr and have some pretty high hopes for 2.. not watching anything (and trying not to read any articles either)

Side note: if its a 90gb download id hate to have purchased it digitally and have a bandwidth cap or slow download speeds 😄

Back of the Japanese box shows two discs, here's hoping the NA version is just the one.

PSA: YsVIII has never been discounted on PS4 up until now. I've been tracking its price since launch. Still $60 full price on disc, $30 digital was enough for me to finally purchase.

I'm the opposite. If the choice is between a 40GB mandatory download or a separate install disc I'll take the install disc. Good on Rockstar on not taking the Capcom route.

Just gives me flashbacks to having to swap discs to see the Diablo 2 ending or playing the 4 disc Wing Commander IV or 5 disc Riven.

I think Redbox might have had options to rent two different discs (pay for each rental) for GTA V. And other games were the multiplayer only disc. Then I look it up and see Max Payne 3 only offered the multiplayer/first half of the single player campaign disc so you could never finish the game by renting.

Oh, that's so weird. I could've swore it said $25 minimum purchase when I looked at the email on my phone, but then I just checked on my computer and it says "No minimum required." Plus, it's a straight credit instead of being a coupon. Awesome.
