Pretty much nothing. The big must buys were Hollow Knight for $7.49 and Batman Return to Arkham for $5, everything else was pretty much cheaper everywhere else.

How do you "forget" about Black Friday? Looking for some tips to skip it next year.

I think the biggest things were God of War for $17 and Detroit: Become Human for $20. Also, if you have PSVR, Astro Bot Rescue Mission for $20. I'm sure we'll get some decent sales by Christmas.

Yeah the 40$ ps+ year was a good deal too. I grabbed that and hollow knight based purely on the word of mouth and everyone is right about that game!
 
I didn't pick anything up on PSN.  I meant to try and sift through the Zen Pinball tables to figure out what I needed, but I wasn't online much anyway.  I did end up getting:

1 year PS+ ($40)

God of War ($17)

Far Cry 5 ($25)

Bomberman Shiny Edition ($20)

Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2 ($15)

Wow, Steins;Gate might make me power up my PS3 again.  I like the anime but never played the game.  I've also heard good things about Soma in the past.

 
I have all of those either on PS4 or Xbox One. Iconoclasts is an excellent platformer and probably the gem of the PS4 games this month. But Onrush is a cool, if different, racer in that you don’t win by finishing in first. Soma is a great underwater sci-fi horror game.

I’d say it’s a damn good month if you don’t own any of those. Not so great for me.

I actually bought Onrush and really enjoyed it. Sadly the online community was lacking since it was such a quiet release. Hopefully being free breathes some new life into it.

Really want to get this physically, but LRG is taking their sweet time lol.

 
Papers, Please is an interesting indie. Don't know how the console versions are, but it did feel natural as a mouse+keyboard game when I played it. So I don't know how it translates to controllers.

It's more about the idea of the theme of the game, than the gameplay itself though. So it's interesting and worth checking out. I liked it, but never played more than maybe an hour or two of it.

VA11 HALL-A is kinda similar in a lot of ways, and I find that has more interesting stories.

The only thing I bought from the PSN sale was the Prey: Mooncrash expansion. Last year I only bought Rise of the Tomb Raider from PSN. The PSN Black Friday sales aren't that enticing because retail stores often have better deals for Black Friday. I bought disc copies of Astrobot, Horizon Zero Dawn: Complete, Firewall Zero Hour, and Soul Calibur VI.

I've been finding more in the PSN Holiday sales than it's Black Friday sales.

I thought Soma was really good.

Onrush and Iconoclasts make this month, everything else is just the cherry on top. First month I don't own anything, well I own Steinsgate on Vita but still, good month imo.

Great month. Onrush is a cool mix of MotorStorm action and Overwatch-style multiplayer/progression. Been thinking about trying out Soma with the update allowing you to play it without the monsters. I've heard great things about Iconoclasts and would've probably gotten at some point soon. Papers, Please might be the best of the bunch, at least being my kind game since I love the PC version and wanted to try out the Vita version.

Onrush is five months old. Iconoclasts came out in January.

 
Excited for Onrush! First time a game appeared on plus that was on my wishlist. Guess I'll go remove that right now...
 
Papers Please is a truly unique and fantastic game.  It was a rare instance where I actually played a game on PC because I don't have a vita.

I've played Onrush a decent amount on my Xbox One thanks to Game Pass. But I've been playing my PS4 more, so I definitely enjoy that it'll be free and I can play it on there. Not sure about the rest of the games, though

SOMA is completely amazing. Everyone who tries it, give it a chance and play past the first hour or so. It starts out a bit like a run-of-the-mill walking simulator, but a little bit into it, there's a huge twist that turns the gameplay/vibe on its head a bit, and it ended up being one of the most interesting and memorable games I've played in a while with some really haunting story elements.

it's a shame people actually want to play it without the monsters or "scary" parts, it's like watching the Walking Dead without the zombies

Grad school has been keeping me busy. I have been forgetting about the PSN flash sales a lot this and last semester. The black friday sale was one of those that I forgot about.

Basically anything that was online I have been slipping on. Jackson E&M is fun. It isn't.

 
Was wanting to purchase Iconoclasts so happy to see that on Plus. I heard it was a very good game. Interested in Papers, Please as well. Already own SOMA and rented Onrush and it was ok. But all in all not a bad month, despite people bitching.

I will gladly take a month like this over a month with a 2 year old "AAA" title that I've already bought for $5.  People are weird when it comes to PS+ games.

 
Can anybody chime in with some help? I just bought a PS4 pro. I had an original PS4 that I upgraded to a 2TB hard drive. I wanted to use the new 1tb pro hard drive to make my backup of the old console. But when I plugged it in via an adapter from an enclosure it doesn’t recognize it. I plugged it in to my pc thinking maybe I have to format it, but it doesn’t show up. So now what should I do?

You have to reformat it as fat32 drive. Windows won't show it. Press window key + x, select disk management. The drive should show up as unrecognized. Format it as fat32 and it should be usable again.

Disk management shows the drive. It shows it to have multiple partitions. When I right click on any of them and scroll to “format” it’s grayed out. I’m getting ready to just say eff it to the backup. But if you have any further advice I’ll try it. Thanks

IDK, I bought it a long time ago, got about 2 hours or so in, and just stopped. The narrative was interesting, but got to the gameplay change/introduction of the monsters and the game completely lost me. I enjoy walking sims, but the slow survival horror bits made it feel so plodding; kept dying a lot too (which was my fault and me being bad at the game), so called it quits because the stuff I liked was way outweighed by the parts that I didn't. It wasn't even scary to me, more frustrating than anything else, so being able to turn them off actually has me interested to possibly check it out when I've got some extra time.

Bought and loved what I played of PP on the PC when it came out, but didn't/don't use a mouse much with my laptop and didn't get far. Can't wait to break out the Vita again for it. Hear that his new game is a must play, just hoping this shitty old laptop can handle it.

 
Anyone have any insight how often those Call of Duty Season Passes go on sale?  Was trying to wait to grab the Black Ops 4 Pass, but I have a 10% off coupon that will expire today at Best buy so I was thinking about grabbing it for $5 off lol.  Just would hate to do that and then it goes on sale next week.  Just looking for some insight as to the trend of them going on sale.

Sales are unpredictable, but historically COD Season passes don't go on sale all often, especially this early.

Just read that Path of Exile for PS4 was delayed due to certification. Won’t be available till January-February.
